The owner, Charlie, treats his employees like less than trash. I give him credit for being a great business man, and the food being good, but the menu is just a slightly modified version of IHOP, where he was a cook for many years. He talks to his employees like they're worthless and treats them just the same. Too bad most of them are too afraid to say anything because he's blatantly stated that he has police and judges of the city on his side and no one would believe them. He's a smooth talker when and where it counts, but isn't afraid to show his true, very dull and dark colors behind closed doors to the people that work for him. If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Nobody deserves to be treated the way that he treats them, and if you're one of the many customers that believe he's a great guy, you've just fallen victim to his charismatic words and mouth full of lies. read more

Super yummy for breakfast or brunch!!! Quantity was pretty decent as well as for price. And when they say a side salad.. it's a big side not like other stingy restaurants. The Philly cheesesteak comes with a nice dipping sauce. Grilled chicken sandwich was pretty good as well. Pancakes are more on the thicker side, but I can't complain. This place is one of the few places to eat in Crosby, it's on the 2100 Road in a small Plaza, so it's a hidden secret. We went for breakfast, the staff was super nice and very attentive and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place. read more

They are good but the only thing that I don't like is they have phones to take orders what why don't they use a pad and a pen but all they it's pretty good I got a chocolate chip pancakes I didn't know that it with chocolate drizzle it was just drizzle from a bottle for chocolate milk but it was ok. This place is very nice neat and clean. The wait staff is very helpful. I went with a group of 14. They sat us quick. Took our drink orders and brought them out quick. Took our food orders right after. They use what looks like phones to input our orders. Repeated each order to make sure it was right. Food was brought right out. Food was hot and fresh. Refills were quick. There was a good amount of people but the waitresses were always there. The manager made sure everything was good and if we needed anything... Excellent service and food... My boyfriend and I always come here for breakfast! It never fails! This place is better than any other breakfast restaurants that we have ever tried. It's by far better than IHOP better than Denny's, Waffle House etc. I always get the chocolate chip pancakes and they are to die for!!! We love this place! Visited Hungry Jack for the first time today with my sister. The day was rather cold and rainy so the warm cozy atmosphere of Hungry Jack was quite welcome. We were seated in a booth in this quintessential traditional American eatery. Our server, Janel, was a lovely young woman who gave us spot on information about the dishes we were considering. She helped us to choose among vast choices of pancakes, waffles, french toasts, crepes, and the myriad of egg and meat choices and combinations. As a bacon lover, I felt compelled to order the LumberJack: 3 eggs with Co-Jack cheese, 4 slices of bacon, hash browns and toast. I also got a small side of grits. My sister ordered the Chili Cheese Omelette. We both got coffee. First, the coffee was delicious. A simple black coffee with simple half and half brewed so perfectly it rivaled the hand crafted cappuccinos and lattes I am used to. A big thumbs up!!! Our food was really good...really...really good...except for the grits. The grits were okay. Not great. Just okay. I don't know if they have a lot of grits ordered but they should add a little salt, at least. Cook the grits slowly (think polenta) and then offer some cheese mixed in. Really, the hash browns, eggs and bacon deserve to be accompanied by a good bowl of grits, guys... My sister's omelette was huge! Covered in chili. Inside gooey cheese, red onions and jalapenos cooked up a plan with the eggs to attack her palate with a one-two punch of flavor. Our server, Janel, was always at the ready. She checked on us quite often and made us feel very welcome and well attended. Thank you, Janel!!! Hungry Jack is about a thirty minute drive from my sister's house but when I visit her I will insist we make the little drive over to try other menu items...or perhaps the same menu items (sans the grits unless they snaz them up a bit!)!!! read more
