We came in during the snowstorm and was happy to see it's opened for business. We placed our order via a tablet and our food was done within 10 minutes. Upon the first bite, everything was good! We got the lumpia plates and the pineapple kicker hamburger, and they came in generous portion. Everything was crunchy and served hot, they were enjoyable. Then we started noticing things are a bit different when I bit into the pancit. It's quite... sour! Then I noticed my lumpia tasted quite dry as well. That's when my boyfriend said he wished his burger buns were less soggy. We put more thoughts into this meal, and came up with this conclusion: we understand it's "fusion food", but the thing I like about Filipino food, is it's fatty and delicious. I recall there being a HunnyBeez cart in Newberg, and have always wanted to try it out. Found out they had a location in Aloha near us! The lumpia is nice and crisp, the shanghai version is kind of like potsticker filling - filled with seasoned ground pork. However, they looked a bit burnt and had a stale flavor on the crispy skin. This was particularly evident in their fries - oddly dark, oily and a strange flavor. It may be due to old frying oil. Brisket is pretty good, nice seasonings. Rice that comes with it is overcooked mush though. Pick your sides wisely! I think this will be a pass for us in the future. read more

I was looking for a way to give 3 and a half stars. However since that's not possible settling with 3. Best item in their menu is brisket beef. Tried it as part of hunny beez burger and it was great. It's fully loaded . They do have angus beef patty and pulled pork options too. But brisket was better than other 2. Another item in their menu are Lumpia's. It's mini version of spring roll and Shanghai one we had where with ground pork with few other stuffings inside. Not a big fan of them as such. I won't say it's a must visit place. I love trying new places out so we ordered for delivery one meal of pancit noodles with smoked chicken on top it was a bowl and it came with choice of lumpia, we chose Shanghai pork. Our other meal was smoked brisket, and two sides. We chose smoked Mac n cheese and rice, oh and it also came with choice of lumpia we got chicken. Both meats were fall apart tender and soo delicious!! The portions were big and loved the Mac n cheese! Lumpia's were delicious as well! The presentation was great and I am just over all impressed! My girlfriend and I got lunch the other day. She opted to eat at Hunny Beez. I ate from a taco truck right next to it. My food was pretty good but she had me try her food and it was amazing. She got a huge pulled pork dish with mango slaw and rice for $5.00. It must have weighed 2 pounds and it was delicious. I can't believe they serve that quality of food at that price. I decided to give this spot a try as it seemed quite intriguing given its concept with its Filipino twist. I ordered the Kari Kari burger with chicken and veggie lumpia. The taste of the peanut sauce was decent but not your typical kare kare flavor profile, the mango slaw did not seem freshly made but the chicken on the other hand was cooked quite well! The fries that came with the burger were a bit on the greasier/soggier side and were also burnt looking.. wasn't appetizing at all. Another downfall was that it took over 20 minutes to make my order which i was the only person in line.. We'e gotten food from here 3 times in the past month it's so good. Their pulled pork is some of the best I've ever had and I've tried all the most famous places in PDX so that says something. Their grilled chicken was also impressive. Very juicy with great flavor. Always afraid with barbecue that the chicken will be dry. Not so here! I ordered some of their ube flan last visit and was blown away by how delicious it was. I would come there just for their flan. Definitely give it a try-you wont be disappointed. The rice bowls are extremely generous and cheap. A great option if you're hungry but trying to keep to a budget. I've also had their brisket lumpia and veggie lumpia. The brisket lumpia is huge! Enough for a meal on its own. I honestly don't understand the poor reviews on here. This place blows out of the water most of the food trucks in the city or at BG's in Beaverton. The people are extremely nice and friendly too. With how grumpy everyone has gotten during the pandemic, kindness is something I value a lot. Everything about my visit there today was wrong. No Line/Customers- thought: ok cool I shouldn't wait long! Wrong- as I was about to order, a lady comes from the side with a bag saying YOU GUYS FORGOT THE CHICKEN, THERES NO CHICKEN. It took a few minutes to get her chicken and she was quickly on her way. I then ordered what I thought was chicken adobo then ordered a smoked bbq pork ribs plate. It was more like bbq dried chicken with adobo sauce- it did not taste ANYTHING like traditional or not; Filipino food. Pork Lumpia had no taste. The PANCIT was terrible, that was nothing close to Pancit and the smell of it was not great at all, It smelled spoiled.
