A small food truck in a quiet little parking lot on baseline and 170th. The area isn't super busy and while there are only a few parking spaces, it doesn't fill up much. There are also other carts in the area like Indian food, Thai food, and coffee. The service was friendly, and we received our orders in a good about of time. There's a few open seating tables off to the left of the truck if you feel like eating right away. The food tasted good and what you expect when you order a Tocino Fried Rice and Longanisa Sliders. The fried rice was really flavorful and came with a fried egg and a good amount of garlic. Tocino was sweet and cooked well, not super fatty. There's a little more grease than I'd prefer, but it's Filipino food, so that's kind of expected. The Longanisa sliders were really tasty. They use pan de sal for the buns, and a special sauce along with the egg and Longanisa. I'm not very big on messy foods though, and you're likely going to need napkins when eating the sliders. The only real ding for me is that the price is higher than I'd want for the portion sizes. But if that's not a concern for you, definitely give this place a try. read more

Super friendly, cheerful service. Got the Silog bowl. I'd planned to get the tapa (beef), but they were out, so got the tocino (chicken) instead, and loved it (I love sweet meats!). Tender, not dry, very tasty, and I think it was dark meat, which I prefer. The fried rice was wonderfully savory. Egg was a little more cooked than I would like (I like it runny). Even with all the construction surrounding this food truck spot, it didn't stop me from picking up some filipino breakfast. I have always been meaning to try out their food after seeing many rave reviews on Instagram and literally live only 5 minutes away from here, so was stoked when I finally had the chance! I ordered the tocilog, longsilog, and the breakfast burrito w/ portugese sausage for my family and I, which turned out perfect and flavorful. Portions were pretty good for what you pay for. The last three times i've visited, they've forgotten at least one of the entrees. I'm not ordering a crazy amount, maybe three to four entrees. Shame on me for not double checking every item before leaving, but i've never had any issues with any of the other food carts near by so I figured Hapapino would be up to par, service wise. Food was ok but after missing an entree every time, it doesn't taste as good. All the sauces I ordered were not even half full, a third full at best. The sauce is good for all three bites. I've been meaning to try this place for the past 8 months because of how close it is to where I live and finally got the chance to. I ordered the silog bowl with tocino and it was amazing. On top of the meat being tasty, I loved the rice too. I didn't even want to leave a grain of rice behind because it was that good. The workers were very friendly and my food came out quickly. This is definitely my favorite place for breakfast burritos! I have come back several times now. The tocino burrito is the absolute best. It has tocino chicken, potatoes, eggs, and cheese. And they never skimp on the meat! I always get the mango juice with it and it is the perfect meal. They also have silog plates, which comes with garlic fried rice, egg and choice of meat. I had the Breakfast Sliders at Hapapino. Hashtag: broke da mouth! So good I had to hide it and eat it before my 3.5 year old saw me because I didn't want to share it with him. The Hapapino chef recommended the spam as my breakfast slider protein, and everything about the sliders were perfect (even when it was packed and delivered to my car to-go, by the chef!) eaten/inhaled 15 minutes later. Came on a sunny Saturday for late breakfast just before noon. I got the silog breakfast bowl with chicken and Portuguese sausage. I snagged the last portion of chicken for the day. Our friends got the steak which I tried. The chicken and steak were very flavorful and I would get those two next time! The Portuguese sausage was bland. I'd also be interested in trying their other sausage option, too. Really friendly service. There are a few picnic benches in the area with 4 other food carts. They brought the food out when ready.
