    3-Quesatacos

I'll have to come back for the regular tacos because the quesataco was a bit too cheesy for me. I really appreciated the indoor seating area they had since I'm usually too impatient to take it somewhere else to eat. Service is friendly and quick!

I noticed this truck while I was searching for dinner. I stopped by and found they were not on Yelp so Si needed to investigate myself. I ordered a Birria burrito for $9.50 plus $0.50 for using a credit card. I received my order in about 5 minutes and it was so hot I nearly dropped it! I was impressed. I stopped by one other place on my way home and when I delivered the burrito to my husband he exclaimed how hot it was (still!) then he unwrapped it and devoured it. It was amazingly fresh and full of flavor. Delicious to the last bite!

Machaca Plate was off the chain! I cruised by looking for a good meal. I'm so glad I chose this place instead of McDonald's next door. The portions are huge, the rice was exploding and the beans were just right. The eggs had fresh chopped jalapeños, steak pieces and probably 3 eggs and tomatoes. The avocado and green salsa were flavorful. Next time I'll try their red and habanero salsas and the quest tacos! There was even an indoor seating building with a bathroom behind and to the right of the truck :)

Best birria in town?!? Had the quesobirria and they were right on. Don't overlook their condone either. I liked that although they cook out of a food truck, they do have indoor seating area where to dine away from the elements. You've got to try these guys - they are legit.

This place has my corazón and my money! I been coming here since they had their white taco truck, con otro nombre, and before they opened up seating and parking. Been coming here for years. ¡El taquero siempre alegre echando platica y tortilla! I love supporting local food, our Latino people's!! My favorite is the carnitas están bien suavecitas!! The carne asada FIRE!! (Llámenle al los bomberos!!) y la de tripa ugfff ni se diga!! All their meats!! I am a FANNN of their habanero is hella spicy , the red is good but not spicy for me, and the green is good but is sweet lol.

This is for the burritos eaters in my house; they love El Torito Alegres burritos! Mostly they get veggie and carnitas.

Tried their tripa tacos. The flavor was great. Plenty of meat and good amount of cilantro topping. I do wish it was less chewy/hard.

Well, after finally getting a chance to browse all the pods, I found Dad's chicken, but nothing was grillin'. So I came back here to Pares PDX Express instead. Checked out the side menu, checked out the prices, and out comes a brutha from anotha mutha! Welcomes me, so I asked my pare "What's good?" He said, "Everything!" smh, "Damn!" A good sign :(but not a good sign for me healthwise:) haha! I asked how long he's been open, and he said, "Since September." Still fresh and new to me, so my yelpie duty was to support my locals. Here's what I ordered: Drawn to the Crispy Kare-Kare ($15), this caught my eyes! (Optional read) Typically, the Filipino kare-kare meat used is with cuts of chuck steak and boney beef neck. Some like using pork hocks. Sometimes kare-kare will have beef tripe added. But personally for me, I love my mom's version using oxtail. I don't like the neck, I don't need tripe, it's gotta be OXTAIL!!! Besides, it's all about the stew and the saucy peanut buttery flavor. About Pares PDX kare-kare version... I saw "Crispy" and knew this was referring to either crispy pata or lechon kawali (aka deep fried pork belly with skin). They serve their kare-kare with crispy pork belly, bok choy, long string beans, and eggplant. The stew of peanut sauce was drizzled on top. With the home-made shrimp bagoong (fried shrimp paste) in between. I would have stayed outside on the patio tables, but it was going to rain. So I rushed home, and mmm mmm mmm the pieces were still nice and crispy indeed! I haven't had pork belly in so long that I was in heaven, not worrying if I needed to go to the hospital afterwards lol. You can have the dish with plain rice or garlic rice. I chose the garlic rice, which is almost a given. A bit of more information: ~ They've got a QR code to view the menu and/or place an order. ~ Majority or nearly all of the dishes were $15 average. ~ To feed your eyes, there are pics of the dishes on the side of the truck. ~ Service was pleasant and fast. Can't say I'll ever order what I can make myself, like adobo, sisig, pinoy style spaghetti, or lumpia, but I will definitely be back to try their version of pansit palabok, laing, dinuguan, and turon. I'll even try their "halo halo" next time! The Filipino authenticity, kinda like mom's style is here! Come check them out!

Multiple times now, I have placed an order, watched the status change to "Confirmed" and even "Preparing," only for the restaurant or their system to cancel the order abruptly after the Dasher is already assigned or on their way. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it completely wastes time and effort planning a meal. A major contributing factor is that they frequently forget to close and update their DoorDash channel, showing they are available for online ordering when they are not. It gives the false hope that the food is on its way, only to be cancelled last minute, forcing a scramble to find dinner/lunch elsewhere. The management needs to seriously address their online order process, communication with delivery platforms, and their kitchen capacity. If you cannot fulfill an order, it should be rejected immediately, not 30-40 minutes after confirmation. Until this issue is fixed, I cannot recommend ordering from here, especially for delivery. It's too unreliable to depend on.

It had a panko crust which sometimes I prefer to batter. I feel like later I got a piece of tarragon(?) out of my teeth and reminded me of the herby yummy sauce. I scoffed at first at the chips. Very non uniformly cut but surprisingly all well cooked. I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!
