Fish N Chips were fresh and the delish $16. The fries were yummy and the 3 large pieces of fish taste freshly prepared. Very filling and a good value. I don't often order anything other than ice water with lemon, but this place has my NEW Favorite thing! The Train Master's Mule $9. Tito's vodka, ginger beer, soda water, freshly little mint with a wedge of lime. It's not listed, but it also had muttled raspberries, strawberry, a few blueberries and it was a welcome surprise. A unique and flavorful beverage. I ordered more than one :D Excellent service, pleasantly attentive, but not hovering. A casual local spot with freshly prepared eats and with a mixologist with skillz. Their daily special was also a hit! A grilled chicken, bbq ranch burger with cheese, bacon, onion rings and more. Amazing!!! First visit here and the i was totally blown away. I love the small personal touches. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich. Spoiler alert it is huge. 2 tenderloins that are breaded and better than the anything from North Carolina, the founders or Indiana. Our waitress, Chrissy, was the cherry on top of the sundae. She was so helpful and kind. All my followers ... when you are in Brookings and enjoying the coast stop in. This place is s must. read more

The staff were friendly and quick. They have a good selection of beers and drinks. I absolutely love the poppers! They are full of melty Gouda mixed with cream cheese and wrapped in a full piece of bacon. This and a salad is a full meal for me. Hubby had the Swiss cheese bacon burger special and was very pleased with that. He is a tough customer to please so that's saying a lot. If I had to add a negative it would be that the panini I ordered was actually just grilled. Still good. Give it a try! Sit outside and enjoy the coastal weather. read more

4 1/2 stars. I decided to go out for a drive up from Eureka today, and my brother who had eaten here before said to stop in. Their parking area is very small, but I found parking on the street no problem at all. I go in, and the place was pretty busy, but I was served right away. The place is clean, I like the train theme, and everybody was friendly. I decided to order the rail, Jumper burger, which came on a brioche bun. For a couple of extra bucks, I asked for garlic, tater tots. The meal was extremely good. The brioche bun was soft, the toppings played very well with the burger, and they were very generous with the garlic on the garlic tots. Also, the tots were tender and delicious. The only reason I'm taking off a half a star, is when I ordered, he didn't ask me how I wanted my burger. While the burger patty itself was extremely good, it was just a little bit overdone for my personal taste. Still very good, not worth sending back. The price was extremely reasonable, plus there's always the Oregon benefit of no sales tax. They have a decent sized menu, and I would stop in again the next time I'm in town. My family has not stopped talking about R.H. Pub & Grill and we have even adjusted our travel plans to make sure we are able to go again before heading back to California. The food was all delicious, and the service was even better. They were very considerate of allergies and seemed to take it seriously. After telling the server of my allergies and placing my order, he made a note on the order and when he brought out the appetizers for my family he made sure to warn me that it was not safe for me to eat (which I hadn't planned on but still really appreciated). The food though was amazing, and my dad has been telling everyone that the Ruben he had here was the best he has ever had. We will definitely be back! read more

I once considered The Beachcomber, here in Brookings, to have the best onion rings along Oregon and Northern California. Similarly, I considered the best fries to come from Roxy Ann Bowling Alley in Medford. In the years since the two have closed, I have searched up and down Oregon for a new best, over 20 restaurants' onion rings, similarly many for fries. This place is my new favorite for both, as, though they are not to the same standard of the other two now shutdown places, they are on the cusp of perfection. The taste is perfect, with only minor discrepancies in the crispiness of their breading (in my opinion the fries could be slightly crispier, and the onion rings slightly softer), though they are still well above most. I wish them and their staff the best in their lives. Oh also they were pretty quick with our food, and they're a really solid price. Burger was good too. Will probably come back here in the future when I visit Brookings read more

What an excellent find in Brookings! We each had a burger which had a nice char and flavor. Husband had with Swiss while I added Gouda and bacon. So yummy! Buns were toasted which added another layer of goodness. Fries were crispy. Our server, Sandy, was very nice and welcoming for our first visit. We are excited to come back and try more things on the menu. read more

Excellent pub fare here - easy to find from the highway. I ordered the grilled salmon plate, which was very tasty. My partner ordered the Station Master salad, a huge bowl of deliciousness - great combination of flavors, with colorful presentation. I really liked the train theme here. The only challenge I could forsee is that it seemed to have limited parking options out front; the area across the street is posted 'No restaurant parking'. That small detail aside, I found this to be an excellent value for the menu pricing. read more

I haven't had a meal here that I didn't like. I always try something new but what I always get that stays the same is the bacon wrap stuff jalapeños. Their service is always great as well. And the ambience it's casual you can sit inside or outside and everyone is friendly. read more

Been here twice, both times I had the Bleu cheese burger. It is one of the best I have ever had. The second time I got the onions grilled and had onion rings for the side. Really wanted to try this place. Sign says see hostess inside for outside seating. So I go in and ask if they are dog friendly. Server/hostess said absolutely! They had some shaded tables and asked if we could have sit at one. Lady said yep, let us clear one. My wife and I stood out front and watched 2 groups that came after us get seated. I went into make sure the lady knew we were out front waiting. She looked at me like we just saw each other for the first time. I reminded her why I was there, she said OK thank you just one more minute. I went back outside and watched them seat a third table in the shade right in front of us. I won't be back if they can't even seat tables properly I wonder how terrible their food could be. read more

We entered and were greeted and seated with menu. The atmosphere was jovial with a football game on, lite music in the background and lights that were just right, not to bright not to dim. My husband ordered fish and chips which he is still raving about were crunchy but tender on the inside and yummy. I ordered something I've never had but enjoyed ~ blackened salmon dinner. I enjoyed the new style of cooking it, as I love salmon. We will be back next year and recommend stopping in. Railroad theme throughout!! read more

Took a day trip into Brookings, OR while staying in Crescent City, CA. Spent the day at Harris Beach then had dinner at RH Pub & Grill. Food was amazing, service was exceptional! Husband had the Blue Caboose, I had the Notch 8 salad and we shared an order of the fried Mac & Cheese balls. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend! The menu had great options, so many I actually had a tough time choosing! Ended up with the American trailer burger with added avacado and the pub fries, they were so good!!! Great amount of, good crisp and the burger was really tasty perfectly done with marvelous flavor. The waitress was on top of refills and fast with ordering and super friendly. First time stopping by for lunch on the way to Gold Beach. Cute building and lovely vibe inside. Great service, water glasses filled and timely food good. The menu has a lot to choose from. We had Reuben, the special brisket sandwich, and the house soup which was a bell pepper, ground beef soup that was really good. I wasn't so sure but she gave me a taste and loved it. I got the mac and cheese panini with BBQ pork and garlic fries. I also got the bacon wrapped jalapeno. The BBQ pork is excellent, smokey, salty, and sweet. The bread on the panini is grilled crispy, perfectly gold. The garlic fries are heavy on garlic and have some heat. Still amazing but are more a raw garlic rather than a roasted garlic. The jalapeno is my favorite, smoke, crispy bacon, creamy cheese. Everything blew me away. Welcome to town! read more

My whole family which consists of our five children their spouses and seven grandchildren were in Brookings for a family vacation by the sea. 16 of us went to R.H. Pub and grill for lunch. It's a rather small place but they were very welcoming and managed to squeeze us all in. We had a variety of yummy dishes on their my. The clam chowder got multiple raves. The garlic fries were some of the best we've ever had. The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked. Fish and chips were excellent. Huge pieces of fish cooked to perfection. Not greasy at all and the batter was just right. I don't think any one of us had anything they didn't like as we all left with empty plates. Oh and don't forget the drinks. They had numerous local beers from nearby breweries and a nice selection of wines and an interesting menu of cocktails. Give this place a try. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. read more

This is seriously the best food in town! We come here often when we want to treat ourselves to some yummy comfort food. My husband is a beer snob but loves The RH Pub because they have so many options on tap, believe me, it makes his day! What can I say about the staff, it doesn't matter how busy they are, we are always treated to the best service, kind and professional all the way. Lastly we enjoy the atmosphere, it's comfortable and interesting with so many cool photos of trains to look at. Don't pass this place up, it's fantastic and it will be your future "go to". read more

Food: I ordered The Side Track which was a breaded chicken w/house made chipotle aioli, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, & jalapeño on a toasted hoagie. It was served open face so it was difficult to pick up. There was too much sauce, barely any onion, the bun was soggy from all the sauce and the jalapeño was cut too thick and there was not much of it. I ordered tater tots as my side and they were saturated in oil. I guess they didn't drain them. (See photo.) My hubby ordered the French Dip and it was pretty good but his fries were not. We ordered an order of bacon wrapped jalapenos and they came out after the meal so we just took them home. Service: Let's just say we really didn't get much service. Our waiter took awhile to get our drinks then dropped them off and left without taking our order. After 10 minutes he came and took our order. The food was delivered by someone else. He never came back at all. I had to go ask for to-go containers and our bill. A waitress brought our bill over. We never saw our waiter again.
