I attended a luncheon where the menu consisted of pizza and breadsticks from Hunter Station. The pizza crust is very thick but they load on the toppings. We had a slice of supreme and a slice of pepperoni. There were so many layers of cheese and toppings that it was almost like a deep dish. Cons: With so many toppings the cheese was not completely melted. I will visit this pizza place again but I might ask them to keep my pie in the oven for a minute longer. I don't know how the staff are or what the restaurant is like since this was brought to the location of the luncheon. read more

I'm not a big fan of their pizza, but their sandwiches are great for me. Their calzones are huge and perfect for lunch and dinner. Their service is great also. I will recommend but with reservation that I hope they can change their crust in the future. read more

Last week we had our second experience with this restaurant/bar. The first was a carry out pizza - very good, but when the guys went to pick it up they handed over a $50 bill for a less than $20 order and the counter guy asked if they wanted any change! That has stuck in our minds. We ate in last Saturday. Pizza and meatball subs were good. Our server was Dayton and he was as accommodating as he could be. The only bad issues were that they were out of several things and vacated tables were not cleaned off the whole time we were there. We were sat in a booth in the main room and after 5-8 minutes waiter asked myself and my young teen to either sit at the bar or leave (which is an issue since minors shouldn't be sat at a bar where drinks are served from). My mother took me there for dinner. We started out with the spinach artichoke dip. That was very good. then we ordered the biggest pie they had with the All Stars toppings. So good. And thank you for cutting it into squares. My mom got the brownie pie to-go. We had a small dip-n-dots for dessert. Service was excellent. That would be a great place for a small party. Food is good. We got a 16 inch pizza and it was great. I had gotten it carry out before which made me curious to go in person. The pizza did not disappoint. The service however needs to improve a bit. We had been finished eating for a solid 20 minutes (at least, if not longer) and our server never came back to give us a check. It was a Friday night and it was busy, so I completely understand having to wait a little, but our waiter just straight up disappeared on us. We ended up having to go up to bar to pay. Again, it was steadily busy, but throughout the whole service I felt like we were waiting longer than tables around us to order drinks, food, etc. Maybe it was just an off night? I'm not sure. If I come back I definitely won't be in a rush. Also note to people with sensory issues, this place can get LOUD. After a long day of moving, along with a recent coupon purchase motivating our selection, we took in Hunter Station Pizza. Located just a couple miles from I-65 in Sellersburg it is located in a strip mall not too far from a good ice cream place, Chiller. The vibe is wide open semi-sports bar. Numerous big screen tv's with various sports in view. Looks like a recently added deck area was added, but not in use when we visited, but after a day of being wet from perspiration and water from the sky, indoors and cool was quite alright. I had a small margarita while waiting for the rest of our party, it hit the spot. We went with the cheese-sticks and were not disappointed, maybe the biggest outlay we have seen for those. The marinara was pretty standard, but it worked. We couldn't finish them all, these are poofier than what you would get at a Bearnos, and there ain't nothing wrong with that. Among us was ordered two calzones, which you can get up to three ingredients for no extra charge. I had sausage, pepperoni and black olive. The other one ordered was similar with mushroom. Also ordered was a pizza half sausage / half cheese. Warning; if ordering a calzone, phone a friend, they are massive. Neither of us were able to get through half. Loads of cheese and no skimping on ingredients. Hunter Station must have a pipeline to a cheese factory, as the cheese sticks, pizza, and the calzones were none too short. The pizza crust along with the calzones was cooked just right and has a medium thick consistency. We were quite happy with our selections. Our waiter was also very good and attentive. Hunter Station offers some very interesting dessert pizza's but after the amount of cheese inducted, we deferred. Great place, good food and good service. Was about half full of patron's when were there and seemed to be quite a bit of carry-out going on. Give them a try. read more

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago with a group. Hadn't planned on eating but ending up having a pizza and cheese sticks. Really enjoyed the pizza, and we definitely go back. So this is a nice pizza joint. We were seated immediately on a Saturday around 7:30pm. The service was a little slow, it probably took 15 minutes for someone to come to us, no biggie. Our waitress was bussing tables, instead of focusing on customers. The pizza was fantastic. We would definitely go back. I'm torn about this review. I usually don't leave bad reviews because I believe in supporting local businesses. However, this place was nominated to be featured on ABR, so I had high expectations. It was mediocre at best. The soda and tap beer were flat. No big deal. I get it. Sometimes things happen. But, the pizza tasted no different than Papa John's and went through me faster than Little Caesar's. At least with those I know what I'm getting. I don't think they make the sauce or crust in house. A place like this should even if it's just to stand out. All in all, I might go back but order not pizza. I hope the ABR profile helps. Our first time trying the pizza here. We selected the All-Star with a thin crust. It was delicious! We are new to the area so called another pizza place first. After waiting for 20 minutes beyond our delivery time we called and asked about our pizza. We were told that they didn't have enough drivers so we would have to wait until a driver returned. What were they doing with our pizza for what could be 40 our so minutes late--keeping it warm under a heat lamp. Great. If we had been told that there were short on delivery drivers we could have come and picked our pizza up. Poor management. We cancelled. Then called Hunter Station. First time having Hunter Station Pizza and it was really good! I picked up two pizzas. Had the pizza with everything and it was piled high with great tasting toppings. Due to the heavy load, I would suggest having it cooked extra done to make certain toppings get hot and the crust gets crispy. My favorite pizza was the veggie. Drinks are refilled when we ask the server if we can get her to stop when she walks by. We've been trying to find a great pizza for 6 years, since we moved to So. IN. I was really happy with food, we got the Hawaiian Thin Crust. The crust was crisp but not fragile. The sauce was excellent and a great distribution of toppings. Our only complaint is we ordered a salad to split and it came out with the pizza instead of before the pizza. The ambiance was nice. A one star only because a zero is not available. Horrible experience! Order placed and double checked by manager and still made incorrectly! Order placed by my brother, who was already there So it would be ready when I arrived.No offer to remake it when I pointed out it was wrong. The pizza is pretty good. I wouldn't say it's anything special per se, but we enjoyed it. The crust is a little too thick for my preference, but other than that, a pretty decent pie. The salad was mediocre...the lettuce didn't taste that fresh. The mango habenero wings were very tasty. It's obvious they are still "getting it together" service wise. It was confusing when we got there because the "open" sign was turned off, there were no handles on the front door, and there was a "we're closed" sign on the side door. But when we pulled the door it opened, and there were people inside eating. Our waiter didn't even greet us, just asked how many and sat us down. He had no personality and just didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Definitely needs better training. We will probably try again sometime just because it's such a convenient location for us. Pizza was delicious, and plenty of options. And I enjoyed the beer cheese and pretzel sticks. Service isn't the quickest, and it's always a little too warm in the building, but the biggest issue is in the past few times I've been there to pick up carry out, the front area has a lingering smell of vomit. Not overwhelming, but it's there. Almost like it was cleaned up with a mop, and that same mop still gets used to clean the floor.
