The food was Fantastic. Excellent crust on the pizza and the hot honey made this pie excellent. Service was good.... But the ambiance needs some work. It's a little outdated and could use a makeover.

Everything was so good! The shotgun start (cheesy breadsticks) were so fresh and flavorful! The chicken wings were small, but really good. It was my first time trying it, but I'm bringing the family back! It was Delicious!

We forgot to take a pic of the flagsticks before we dug in.

The front-of-house employee then came out of the women's restroom talking on the phone and continued her personal conversation for another 5 minutes while we stood there waiting. She ended the call with "I love you" and then told us, "Sorry, that was my manager." The whole interaction felt awkward and unprofessional. After finally being seated, it took an additional hour to get our pizza despite the restaurant not being busy at all. The pizza itself was good, which makes this even more unfortunate, because my husband really enjoys this place. But due to the service we received, we honestly wouldn't come back. Good food can only make up for so much when the customer service experience is this poor. The server's name is Brittany

We had just finished going through a long week of snow and single digit temperatures and were very anxious to go to BoomBox Pizza and have some Pizza. Our server was Candice and she did an awesome job. She was really organized, first she took drink orders in an order and then she came back and asked about Appetizers. There were a couple of orders of Cheese Bread and Bread Sticks. Quite a few of us ordered salads. My husband and I shared a BoomBozz Salad #1 with Mixed Greens, Candied Walnuts, Sun Dried Cranberries, Goat Cheese, and House Vinaigrette. It was so delicious. She turned in salads and appetizer orders and came back to get the pizza orders. I chose a Create Your Own Calzone with my choice of up to three ingredients. It came with Mozzarella & a side of Red Sauce. I added Prosciutto bcc Ham, Smoked Bacon and Ricotta. My husband had the 8" All Meat Pizza. It seemed that Pizzas were the biggest choice but there were several wing orders too. We had a fantastic time. We were in the far back room that night. It really had a good Ambiance with a lower volume tonight. Candice did a fantastic job and their manager, Bruce helped out by bringing drinks and filling up our water glasses. He also delivered food to us. I forgot to take pictures of the food, so I took a picture of him! They have a new GM, Drew. We want to thank BoomBozz Pizza & Watch Bar for becoming one of our newest donators to our annual Swan Pointe Block Party. Robyn

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

Theyre doing wood fired Neapolitan style pizza with sourdough. It has a really amazing chewy texture. We went with the Puttanesca.. briny and tasty. Good with wine, too. The space has a cool, intimate atmosphere that's great for couples or small groups, the staff is super friendly, and they've got fun merch for sale at the front. It could just be mediocre pub food, but the food here is very, very good. I don't know why, but when I'm in the south, I get the hankering for a deviled egg. So we started with the deviled eggs (Los Huevos El Diablo), which, despite the name, were not super spicy. They had just the right amount of spice. One thing to know about me is: If I see a patty melt on the menu, I will order that. So I got the Merle's Melt, which is a burger patty with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, plus bacon and special sauce on buttered toast. It was sublimely tasty! It comes with house-made chips, which were good. They also offer tacos on the menu. One of my children got one steak taco and one chicken taco. The tacos are topped with tomato, lettuce and cojita cheese. I was told that these were very good! My kid eats like a bird, but ate one and a half tacos, so that must say something, right? The Lip Smack'n Mac & Cheese was also ordered, as well as the fried chicken, because the menu says that the fried chicken is award-winning, so how could we not? The fried chicken was super crispy and tasty, and the mac and cheese was creamy and made with large shells, which is the best kind of pasta to use for mac and cheese (in my opinion). The service was great, the lighting was great, and we were seated quickly, even though they seemed busy. It was a good place to have a family dinner in Louisville.
