I had such an incredible experience at this hotel! I recently took my mom on a trip to Oregon to see the coast. Our first stop was Lakeview as we were coming from Utah. On the outside it didn't look like much, they're in the midst of renovating and so there's boarded windows and heavy machinery out the front. Initially we couldn't find anyone to check us in, but one phone call and all who were available came to help. Gary and Sam are so friendly, kind and were incredibly accommodating. They allowed us to change rooms. Our room was absolutely stunning, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool/hot spring was delightful. All other guests were so friendly and warm. They are in the middle of some changes, the lot itself is massive so it's a large project I'm sure. But what we did experience was perfect. We would love to stay there again in the future. Thank you so much Hunter's Hot Springs!!

Stayed for one night while passing through from Salt Lake City. We were blown away by the beauty of the valley and enjoyed walking around the property. It was pretty quiet, and we enjoyed a nice, reasonably priced dinner in their dining room. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the geiser and history of the hotel. There were a few quirks about the hotel; no door on the bathroom, no peep hole on the front door, the sink dripping all night. Overall, we enjoyed and would recommend as a fun stop for low-key travelers looking for something off the beaten path.

I have so much to say about this place! First of all, it changed hands about two years ago and Jim, the new owner, is wonderful. He is a very busy man operating the place on his own with his son and he diligently responded to my every need and inquiry to ensure my comfort and happiness. He gave me a remote room for quiet, he showed me where to go jogging, he made sure I got in the hot pool, he left me alone, etc...! Not only is this place a historic property (do more research on this history via the website), but also a modern wonder. This was being documented by a PBS film crew the day of my stay. Jim has the bar and lobby heated using geothermal water piped into the buildings. Not only this, but there is a nice greenhouse on site that is also heated in this manner. Additionally, Jim and his son are growing herbs and vegetables for the restaurant on site. That means optimal flavor and freshness and efficiency and responsible use of resources. The community is showcasing this with the hot geothermal topic in town. Anyway, if you are a local foodie like me, this is something to see...and I just stumbled into it. History, alternative energy, gardens. Then the rooms. Keep in mind it is old and a work in progress that will likely never be done-there is so much to do! But the room was clean and operable and quiet and safe and wonderful. The internet fast and no trouble. The rate is a fantastic value. There is plenty to do in the area though I never explored Lakeview itself, the Warners and surrounding region offer ample things to do. Stop in and meet Jim. I intend to return for many visits in the future.

Erica (pronounced more like a-REE-ka, she says it SO much prettier than I can) was amazing! She runs the front desk (I believe is an owner) and is so welcoming and helpful. I totally agree with Michele R's review, especially what she wrote about cultural differences and pride/care in ownership not being the same as bad attitude. I read her review before going and was thinking that I should just keep that in the back of my mind if I took something as a negative attitude (remember that it could definitely just be a cultural difference), but that time never came. Maybe it was because we strive to be respectful anyway, so our attitudes were not coming from a place of entitlement. Yes, there are signs up at different places stating some rules, but that is to protect their property as well as make everyone aware of what the rules are. I would much rather know what to do or not do than to get "in trouble" for doing something wrong or breaking something. This lovely hotel used to be a senior living center, but obviously a really nice one. There are not many options in this really small town and as far as I can tell, it is the best one. We have stayed at the Best Western in town and did not have any problems, but the Fremont Inn is now our favorite by far. We were in room 111 and it had a little kitchen area with a larger refrigerator than most hotel rooms, a microwave, desk, two large closets (one with built in shelves), a nice shower and short tub (with accessible bars, if needed), and a queen-size bed with lots of pillows. I also love the facts that the entire property is no smoking of any kind (Don't even try it! You will be fined... and I, for one, really appreciate that!), the room doors open into an interior hallway, and the entire property is all on the ground floor. Their lobby and dining area are so much nicer than you would expect in a small town hotel. We were there during the time that they are not serving a complementary breakfast, so I cannot speak to that, but I am sure it would be good. They do everything with a lot of care. I had trouble with my tv at first. I could not get it to turn on. Erica called over the housekeeper and they both came to my room to help me out. The housekeeper (sorry that I did not get her name) fixed it quickly, because a cord simply was a bit loose. Erica also showed me how to use the thermostat while she was there. I had not looked for it yet, so that was helpful. It is on the wall between the kitchen area and the rest of the room. This is just a peek at how they went above and beyond during our stay. I most definitely recommend the Fremont Inn.

This hotel had availability to park a 26 ft uhaul pulling a trailer and our 1 ton truck pulling two jet skis. We thanked the lady and told her we would be there in 10 minutes. There was only 5 cars in both parking areas. Checked in, went to room ~ nasty and it stunk! It was the nastiest place I had stayed in a long time. We threw down towels on the sheets and went to sleep. We were leaving at 6am so this had to work. I went to check out ~ no one to be found. There was a note on wall to leave the key in room. What? That was weird. We went across the street to the best restaurant ever! That place saved the day from the hotel nasty! I received my next credit card bill and this place charged us an extra $100 the next day! WTH! I called the hotel and the lady tells me she charged an extra $100 because she "claimed" we smoked Marijuana in the room and it took 4 days to get rid of smell. Again, WTH! Didn't happen! She charged the extra $100 early morning the next day! I call card company they tell me to request the original receipt I signed for the night we stayed. I did, she claims she didn't have to do that and more or less the card will eat it. I told her she didn't have permission to charge my card the extra fee. I needed my signed receipt from the night before to show what I agreed upon. Now she had no email or computer to do so. WtF, now! After 3 calls she finally sends transaction receipt where she charged my card the next day. Scribbled on it ~ smoked Marijuana in room. Wow ~ lol! WE DID NOT SMOKE MARIJUANA IN ANY HOTEL ON OUR TWO, CROSS COUNTRY, TRIPS TO MOVE. I think this lady does this, on a regular basis, to one time travelers. My 3 phone conversations with her is what made me feel she has pulled this before. The place is a dump! I wouldn't have left a bad review because we did have a room for the night at a cheap rate. We wouldn't be staying again. BUT! ONCE she charged my card on a fraudulent charge I thought NO! Everyone should know how nasty and thieving this hotel is! My card said she has till Jan 7th, 2026 to reply and she has not replied yet! Hmmmm ~ on our last trip moving, Nov. 2nd, we did stop at the Town Hall Cafe in Lakeview for the best breakfast. We had not received our card statement showing the fraudulent charge yet OR I would have probably gone over to hotel, and recorded our interaction concerning her thieving. Do not stay here. If you are stuck like us, be sure you have her come and ok your room before you leave, AND RECORD IT! I HAVE TRAVELED MY WHOLE LIFE AND NEVER EXPERIENCEDTHIS KIND OF B.S.! I AM OFFENDED TOO TO BE ACCUSED OF SOMETHING I DIDN'T DO!
