We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. The training style used was also based on rewarding Moose with play rather than food or negative reinforcement, which I really appreciate and didn't know much about before. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Highly recommend Dog Wizard and Sam!

Probably my highest review ever for a service I haven't used yet. hear me out…read more I just rescued a Rat Terrier puppy called Raffi from Texas, who showed signs of abuse and trauma upon arrival. I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things. She has a passion for rescues and turning around challenging situations and making dogs (and humans) shine. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have wanted to have and train a female GSD (German shepherd dog) all my life since I was raised from birth with a female GSD, Heidi. I had also spent countless hours researching training methods and facilities. My wife was not convinced that boarding for training was how she wanted to have Heidi trained, but after meeting with Chase Haggerman at Georgia K9 NTC and our beautiful Heidi nipping her heels with 3 month old teeth, she agreed to enrolling Heidi in the basic obedience program. I must say thought the week Heidi was there was not easy for us, but it was tolerable knowing who's hands she was in with GAk9. They have an incredible facility with excellent staff. Chase Haggerman and John Wyrick are two of the most awesome guys I know! They are both extremely talented with K9 handling and have my up most respect and appreciation for setting the foundation for Heidi. A few months after completing basic obedience training we returned for intermediate obedience training and choose to train Heide on the remote collar...another priceless decision. As we pulled up to GAK9 NTC Heidi was very excited and happy to be there! We have taken Heidi everywhere that is excepting to us because Ultimately I hope to work her as a therapy dog. I would like to take her to retirement homes, hospitals, the VA. And put a smile on someone's face. Georgia K9 has an environmental program that we plan on enrolling her in as well as advanced obedience training. We are also going to work toward canine good citizen certification. I have no doubt with the help of the great folks at George K9 Heidi will be a star pupil. If you have read this far I appreciate you attention and assure you that if you want a great life with your four legged family member. And you want your pup to live a happy and safe life call on the trainers at Georgia K9! They are not your average dog trainer and the cost is nothing compared to the benefits of the training. Not to mention after training you can board for an extremely reasonable price and you pup is not locked in a crate like most other boarding facilities. I'll stop here and close with this. You cannot go wrong with Georgia K9. You have a customer and friend for Life! Alex Jess and Heidi

He came out a different dog! Walking on the leash is a joy, he auto sits when I stop walking, walks next to me, sits, lays down, and comes to hand signals. When I pick up the training collar he is so excited to go on a walk. They posted pictures during the time our dog was with them and provided updates. Before we picked him up they reviewed the training with us so we can easily use it at home, provided a memory stick of the training so we can refresh ourselves with the training. Many thanks to Georgia K9. I would use them again for training.

If I could give ZERO I would...BEWARE! Please take your dog…read moreanywhere but here. We signed our puppy up for a 2 week board and train hopeful to get her to walk on a leash better. She had a lot of energy and wanted to play with everyone. She was a regular at doggy daycare and never had any issues or reactivity. Everyone loved her. We worked on basic commands at home, but leash pulling and distractions were an issue. After reading reviews and the 100% guarantee spiel, we dropped our girl off with high hopes. I emailed to check in on Zura, we were told we would get updates daily, and I do not feel the trainer was very professional. Several times he sounded too busy, or was out doing other things. 2 long weeks later, we picked up our pup and I was shocked. She was extremely underweight and came home acting off. She seemed nervous and unsettled. The trainer sent snippets of videos everyday and I asked what our dog was doing the rest of the time, I never got a response. My husband reached out to the trainer and the owner and they gave this speech about her adjusting and being consistent. The day after she came home, my husband took her on walk and she freaked out. She was screaming and was super anxious. Naturally we contacted the owner and at first she was extremely condensing and unprofessional. She yelled at me and implied I didn't know what I was talking about. I have actively rescued and rehabilitated dogs for the past 20 years. This is the first time I had ever outsourced training due to health issues. After a heated conversation she decided that "She wasn't happy with our dogs board and train and she would like to take her for a week". JoAnne had our dog for 4 days. Our dog came home with welts on her neck (both sides) from the shock collar and a scab on her back leg. We took her to the vet and she stated that it looked like our pet had been mistreated. Our dog seemed very high strung and agitated. I would take the ecollar off at night or when she was in her kennel, and she was very reluctant and skittish when I tried to put it back on. The trainer told my husband if our dog wasn't listening to turn up the number on the ecollar. It didn't work, it just made our dog panic. When we first started training, we asked about the ecollar and how high it got. They said it was like a tens unit, and didn't hurt them. That is not true. They turn it up very high and told us to do the same. Our dog left to the board and train a goofy puppy and came back extremely fearful and anxious. Our dog had been crate trained since she was 10 weeks old. After her board and train, she started screaming in the crate, and digging at her bed. She also had several accidents in the crate, she had never displayed that behavior before. My heart was broken for our girl. I reached out to a K9 Behavioral Specialist and after assessing our dog, they agreed that our dog had been mistreated. She associated the ecollar with punishments' rather than positive reinforcement. This place does not care about the wellbeing of your dog, they care about money. It is a franchise, and perhaps they have some locations and trainers who actually know what they are doing, but not here. After everything, there was zero chance we were taking our dog back to them and expressed this to Bryan and JoAnne, she stated "your dog will never be off leash, your are going to have to accept that." I challenged the 100% guarantee and requested a refund. We never heard from them again. The guarantee is not real. They never apologized or showed any concern or empathy for our dog. I have several videos that they provided while she was at training that are uncomfortable to watch. They try to conceal the shocker in their hand while filming, but if you pay close attention, you could tell our dog was constantly being shocked to comply. Please take your pet elsewhere. We entrusted our girl to their care and it is the biggest mistake I have ever made. It changed her completely. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE! Video of Zura after picking her up. More to come https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoUcih4dzCc ***I have attached the text of the date we picked our dog up from the second training session (4 days) and the vet afterwards. I have also attached witness testimony of my dogs behavior 2 days after coming home. My statement is far from false***

We discovered OLK9 and enrolled her in the two-week training. Our trainer Carolina, was excellent! When we got her back, we were able to walk her and enforce the commands she learned there. We still needed to work with her every day of course, and still do. What we appreciated too was that we could take her for a refresher anytime we were having problems and we availed ourselves of this once so far which helped. It's nice to have that kind of back-up support. I highly recommend OLk9 for any dog.
