I brought my 2004 Ram in for her first service (Just purchased it last November) under my ownership. Not only were they prompt with getting me out on time, the Service Adviser (Jaime D.) was cool as hell and knew his stuff about these trucks. I love the fact that they did not try to sell me on unnecessary repairs (Wipers for $50..Lol) and their communication during the service was actually impressive giving me updates on it as it progressed. After going to five other Jeep dealerships between Brooklyn and Southampton, this was the only one that actually had the Jeep in stock that they claimed was on their lot (plus so many more). At these other dealerships, I had various terrible experiences such as, "Oh, we actually sold three of those yesterday... (NYC)" to "Oh, we just brought them to a different lot an hour ago, and it's too muddy to go there (Bronx)..." etc. One place had me sitting there for about 6 hours, only to inform us the next day that any after market additions would void the Jeep warranty. We were in the market for late-model used 4-wheel drive vehicle, and had narrowed down out search to a few models. We visited several dealerships looking at all the models. After test driving the vehicles, we decided to get a 2015 Jeep Compass. Independent of the model we chose, the service and treatment we received by Huntington Jeep-Chrysler-Dodge, in particular this Commack location, and very much in particular salesperson Ed Bailey was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle, and went out of his way to get and text us extra information about specific questions we had. We used internet pricing, which I recommend because there was minimal negotiation, but most importantly, we felt Ed treated us fairly, honestly, kindly, and with no pressure. He even helped us resolve a finance issue after we bough the car. He really knows his customers and is excellent in customer service. There prices are pretty reasonable, and when compared to East Hills Jeep in Roslyn, they are inexpensive. What I like best is that they have a knack for customer service in a field that typically doesn't have any. I've brought my truck in for service multiple times; the most recent service had them perform a number of software updates on my truck. After performing these updates, my truck began to shudder very violently while going uphill. I called today to schedule an appointment to get this resolved and asked for a loaner vehicle. I was told loaner vehicles are only available to owners who purchased their vehicle at the dealership. I find this policy a little confusing as I'm coming into your dealership, paying you to service my truck. I've previously been very happy with the service you've provided and the one time I need a loaner to get to work I'm denied. Unfortunately, this stringent adherence to policy has lost you a service customer as well as a vehicle customer. I'll never consider Huntington Jeep for anything even though I live around the corner from the dealership. read more

Great service. Their service department explains what the issues are and will let you know if they are common or something to be concerned about. This is much better than previous places I've been to and is a reason for me to trust them. I usually go there without making an appointment and service is done quickly anyway. While you wait the friendly help desk can refer you to great places to eat. I was told about a great pizza place. When I was done with lunch my Jeep was done being serviced. I have purchased and leased multiple vehicles from the Huntington Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram Commack dealership. Since experiencing a problem with my RAM 1500, I took it in for service FIVE times for the same issue before it got resolved. I experienced lack of respect and competency - they even claimed to have replaced parts that were not even touched, and not only completely wasted my time, but have now ruined my vehicle beyond repair. Although I got sympathy from the salesman for my issue, neither the service manager nor the dealership general manager will accept responsibility or accountability for pure negligence on their part. Although they were willing to trade my vehicle for a newer model, they would do so at a massive loss to me and profit for them. Their website reads "...we want our relationship with you to continue long after you have driven off the lot." - unfortunately no part of this is true because they have proven to me the customer does not come first. I can't even get anyone to return my phone calls, as they hope I just give up and go away. I recommend to all my friends and family to stay clear of this dealership - they are other choices that truly value their customers. read more

I pre-purchased 5 oil changes from the Huntington Jeep Chrysler location in Huntington off of Park Avenue. I've tried 3-4 times both in person and on the phone to see if their mechanic had a time to do the service, every single time it was a no. I found out today that they have another location in Commack right across Jacksons Grill and Burger King. I was in and out in 45 minutes including a lunch i took across the street so my car might have been done quicker. I'll def stay away from the Park Ave location since they don't seem to give a shit about clients who bought Jeeps from them and special services. read more

Omg you won't believe what happened to me at this dealership. Im from ct so I called on Friday to confirm that a vehicle was still available and I was told yes so I made a appointment for Saturday morning. I received a confirmation call at 8pm that same night. I took the ferry to Long Island. While on the ferry I got another confirmation call. I drove 30 min more and arrived at the dealership. I went in and got the run around of lies telling me the jeep was being cleaned. I waited a hr in the lot when they told me it was sold last night. As I'm pulling out they pulled in with it for the new owner. One would think that at least I would of got a apology from the sales manager. Nothing!! The salesman VAUGHAN, was THE worst I have ever encountered. We went in tonight, to look and likely buy a car. We were out in the parking lot for 20 minutes and nobody came out to help us. Finally we saw a Man.. (Vaughan) we asked for help about this car. He told us to wait a little while. So, after waiting 10 MORE minutes, I finally went in and asked for the keys or someone can open the doors so we can look inside, he unlocked them from standing at the entrance of the showroom and went back inside. ANOTHER 20 minutes and we are STILL alone by the car. I go inside to ask if we may test drive it. The lady, makes a copy of my license, then asks me who is helping us. I reply nobody. She,then tells me I need a license plate, but she doesn't know how to get it?? so the salesman (Van) tells her how to unlock it or whatever? we drive it and come back. Vaughan, then comes outside, walks to the car and takes the plate, then I asked for him to answer a few questions, he wanted to put the plate back BEFORE answering. Finally, I said 'well cant that wait'? so he stood there clearly ANNOYED by us. Then he kept asking about purchase. To be honest, we were and ARE ready to buy, however, his attitude from the beginning of this really really SUCKED. So, we go inside to talk..he is VERY arrogant and again, clearly annoyed by us, saying he is the ONLY sales man there,however we were the ONLY customers!! The price he gave was fair enough. Again, his attitude is clearly a factor in the purchase of this car. We were and ARE ready to put a deposit on it tonight, and would have picked it up by Saturday. Again, he lost a hefty commission and the dealership a lost sale tonight, because of his nasty attitude. I am sure I can get another salesman to take my money and who will be NICER to us. I just went to this dealership to have an oil change and inspection done on 2 of my 3 cars. The guy behind the counter said he couldn't do it till tomorrow which was fine. He was entering my info and stopped to asked me where I purchased one of the cars. I told him smithaven dodge. He said "well I suggest you bring your vehicles to smithaven because based on your last review (which was to the dealership not the public) we no longer want your business". I never write reviews I happened to be at work one day and had a little downtime when I received a email from the dealership asking about my last experience and I gave an honest review which I guess he didn't like. My thinking was hey everyone has a bad day and the work performed is always good and they are right around the block so its convient I drop the car off and walk home. (problem was with the service desk) I'll give them another shot. I never argued with anyone, and never said a word to anyone last time I was there. I just left and wrote my review when they asked for it. I guess they can't take hearing the truth. My wife's lease is up on her Infiniti in August and she wants a grand Cherokee summit edition. I guess I'll take that business elsewhere as well. THE WORST service department I've ever dealt with. They are rude and arrogant. I've had constant issues with my brand new Jeep since I've bought it. Each time I bring it in, they give ME an attitude and tell me they're not really sure why the issue keeps arising. Well if you don't know how to fix it, how the hell should I? The loaner cars they give are pieces of crap that make all types of awful noises, and last time that I was there, they gave me a loaner car that was practically on empty (meanwhile, the loaner agreement that is signed states that a full tank of gas is given and a full tank of gas should return). When I said something about the tank not being full, they went to put gas in it, but only a half tank! What the hell is wrong with these people? Management should really look into clearing out the SHIT employees that they have working here. I tell everyone I can to avoid this place at all costs! read more

I had issues with a 2014 grand cherokee I leased from this dealer. with only 3500 miles on the car they agreed to buyout the lease and write a new lease on a 2015 grand cherokee. Certain upgrades and items I was told were done in writing via email by the service manager earlier in the day - only to drive away in the car and realized they were not. when I questioned why wheel locks were not installed when i picked up the car I received an answer that" they were on order" ?. when i questioned why the Nav upgrade was not done the service manager who told me earlier in the day that the work was already done told me that "it was not on the work order. when I picked up the car it was almost dark but when i got the car home in my well lighted garage I noticed the paint was chipped on the front of the car from either the prep dept or the service tech who changed a few parts and I was even more disappointed. I sent the dealer a picture of the chipped paint and then requested they touch it up or give me a bottle of the touch up paint only to not even get a response from them. I understand accidents happen but to not even take the time to touch up the paint before they gave me the car OR offer to me to stop in and touch it up is a shame how they choose to handle the whole experience. this was the 3rd car car i got from this dealer and used to enjoy recommending both sales and service to others but sadly I can no longer do that . in fact because of how they handled everything I think it best to make others aware of my experience so they don't feel as disheartened as I am . a hard lesson to be learned but in hindsight instead of taking their word from all involved with the change of the trucks who clearly knew what I expected I should have had everything in writing from them but i guess i put too much trust in them . read more

I had a mixed experience at this franchise. I brought my 2014 Dart down to the Commack building because my radio all of a sudden just shut down completely. I stopped in and an extremely rude girl named Tiffany told me that they wouldn't be able to fit me in until next week. I asked her if she could just have someone quickly look at it and she told me they didn't have anyone available. I look into the shop through the window right there and saw several technicians just standing around talking. Not only is this girl extremely rude but also quite stupid as well. So I left and went into the Hyundai/Jeep building where I was personally greeted by the service manager Jon. He called up a technician right away just to look at it,like I asked at Commack,and a very cute little technician named Colum came out with me to look at it. He knew every little aspect of my radio and he had it back up and running in minutes. Then he paired my phone and taught me all the tricks with the radio itself. We went back inside where Jon told me there was no charge and he apologized for what happened at Commack. That place needs more people like Jon and Colum and less people like the ones in Commack. I've been calling and waiting for over 6 months to get P60 Alternator recall fixed. I call every month for over 6 months. The dealership I purchased my vehicle from, Huntington, NY Dodge Chrysler just keeps telling me they are waiting for parts to be shipped from Chrysler and blames it on Chrysler Corporation. So they are basically telling me they have no alternators in stock and have no way of getting a proper alternator anywhere. The recall states "vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash." The driver will have limited or no detection of the alternator failing, which can result in vehicle shutdown while driving and/or an underhood electrical fire. Huntington, NY Dodge Chrysler keeps me waiting for over 6 months? UNACCEPTABLE! I just got in touch with Chrysler Corporation and they put me in touch with a local dealer who said they have it in stock and scheduled me for an appointment next week. The dealer I've been going to for over 3 years couldn't get it done, but a dealer I've never used before is taking care of me. Service is what keeps customers happy and coming back as repeat customers. Huntington, NY Chrysler Dodge dropped the ball on this one. read more
