Meanwhile, they were loudly talking shit about customers throughout the store where everyone could hear them. By the time I left, I made a point of saying "have a good one" loud and clear, and they were still going on about rude customers who don't respond. Maybe if you're going to complain about your customers, don't do it within earshot of the entire store. It made for a pretty uncomfortable shopping experience.
