Not gonna lie this is probably one of my fave bars at Downtown Melbourne right now. My friends and I love their line dancing lessons and we always have a great time! Last time we were there I ordered some food- nothing too special but it hit the spot after an hour of dancing. Pretty cheap too!

Really enjoyed stopping in here for a break and a drink. In the early afternoon it was quiet and relaxing to hang out and chat with friends. Cute decor and friendly staff.

Love the slushee bar! The bartenders I've experienced were friendly & welcoming. Friday nights are a good time & wed 7-9 is happy hour. The music is what you make it.

For a bar at midnight on a Saturday not a bad crowd! Reasonably priced drinks. It's a country bar so be prepared for some honky tonk!

This place was freezing cold!! The frozen drinks made it worse. I am not sure why it was so empty on a Saturday night. It is huge for an in town location. People were line dancing and there was a birthday party underway.

I don' t like countey music, but even I had fun. Country western restaurant & bar setting with pool tables. Free line dancing lesson wed beginners & Fri advance. Dance floor was packed for a wed, mix of young & old. Wed ladies night lots of $3-$4 drink specials. Got their grill cheese your choice of meat & cheese w one side, I got creamy potato soup only $9. I didnt have high hopes since its bar food, but I was pretty impressed. Waitress was very friendly checked on us often & filles our drinks.

Have I been transported to Nashville or some sleepy Texas town? Or maybe a movie set? The free line dancing classes are epic.

Excellent Smoked Wings and Great Happy Hour Spot…read more Stopped by Broken Barrel Tavern at Palm Bay Road and Babcock and had a great experience. Service was prompt and friendly, and the happy hour specials made it an even better value. I ordered the wing basket with 8 smoked wings and onion petals. The onion petals were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the spicy remoulade sauce. For the wings, I tried both the Carolina Vinegar and the Hot Garlic flavors. The smoked wings themselves were outstanding, and the Hot Garlic sauce was especially memorable because it featured real garlic, which added incredible flavor. These are definitely wings I will come back for and highly recommend to anyone visiting. My partner ordered the BBQ pulled pork quesadillas with seasoned fries. The fries were more like freshly cut chips, nicely seasoned and delicious, and the quesadillas were excellent as well. Overall, Broken Barrel Tavern delivered great food, quick service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the Melbourne area and looking for outstanding smoked wings, this place is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

Went for lunch on a Friday and they had two servers and only one working the dining area. We sat in the very dark dining area. Every surface was painted black. Lighting was pretty poor and it was hard to read the menus. Ordered a pulled pork platter and a pulled pork sandwich. They both came with "fried chips" and the platter had another side and we chose beans. Bourbon Bbq sauce was our choice. The pork was good. Good portions on both sandwich and platter. Beans had some "heat" which I don't favor but my son really liked. The chip fries or fried chips - whichever they call them were seasoned with a garlic salt it tasted like. However they could have used about another minute I the fryer. The bigger ones were raw in the middle. May have been a byproduct of a large party in their event room throwing off their timing. But if cooked a bit more they would be a unique side for the area and good. Server was stretched thin. Freshens my son's drink but not mine until he brought the check. By then meal was over. I had water. Not difficult. Rib special looked good from a distance and I heard they are known for wings. Maybe next time. Noticed there is a private room for events that most restaurants do not have. So a point to consider.

There was plenty to take home and have a second meal, and she said it was all delicious. I ordered the soup (clam chowder) and house Caesar. The soup was nice and hot and tasted great. The salad was good, though a tad heavy on the dressing. A general note about Miller's and its kids' menu: I have eaten at a few of these places around the state, and I find their policy about adults eating off the kids' menu to be weird. Some servers are fine with it and some claim management won't let them allow you to order of the other menu. Most items on the kids' menu cost about $8. The (adult) meatloaf is $8.50. The fish and chips are $7.99. So, what is the big deal about an adult ordering off the kids' menu if the costs are the same? Some of us don't want a 1/2 pound burger. The kids' menu has a 1/4 lb. burger. Also, we sometime dine with our disabled nephews, and they usually prefer "kid friendly" dishes. I wish Miller's would review this policy.

We live just down the road in Vero Beach, so discovering a neighborhood tavern with this much charm practically in our backyard was a real win. We had already eaten lunch at Nini's Cuban across the parking lot, so we stopped in just for a beer. Within minutes we were pulled straight into the atmosphere. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively. We have not tried the food yet, but the vibe alone guarantees we will be back and we will be coming hungry. This is the kind of place where you settle in, meet the locals, and let the afternoon drift. For the record, our beer of choice that day was "Cougar Bait." It is as much fun to drink as it is to say!

From the moment I slid onto a barstool, I knew I was in for something special -- and not just because the beer list reads like a love letter to hop heads and casual sippers alike. Each pint poured is thoughtful, crisp, and refreshing, with local craft brews rubbing shoulders beside tried‑and‑true favorites. I lost count somewhere around the third flight, but honestly? Worth it. And then there's Nancy, the bartender -- sweet lord, if every tavern had her warmth and precision, we'd all be happier people. She recommended beers without braggy pretension, anticipated refills like a mind reader, and managed a perfect balance of friendly conversation and professional grace. Her service alone is worth the trip. Great food, killer beers, and a bartender who makes you feel like a VIP? Village Tavern doesn't just raise the bar -- it is the bar.

Stopped in at an off-time and on a somewhat off-day - it was about 4-ish-pm and it was on a Memorial Day Monday. The bar was busy, the outdoor seating was too, but inside it was nice and quite, and more importantly A/C cool. Let they us sit down where we wanted and we were promptly seen by a waitress who took our drink orders and left us to choosing what to pick from the menu. For an appetizer we choose these unique quesadillas stuffed with chicken. It was a very large appetizer that easily can go as a meal if you wanted it just for that. My son had their grilled cheese sandwich - which he loved; my wife had a sandwich which I can't recall, but she enjoyed as well. As for me, I had their gyro stuffed full of lamb and all the expected fixings. It was so big, there was really no way to handle it so I just ate it with knife and fork. Waitress was polite and somewhat efficient, would have liked for her to stop by a time or two more (considering it wasn't busy by any stretch) but it wasn't entirely a big deal. I can see that on an on-time and day this place must be hopping mad with people - and with the food they serve, I can see why. If you haven't given them a try - I humbly suggest you do...

Unfortunately, the burgers just weren't my favorite. they didn't stand out compared to the appetizers. The space itself is pretty large, with a strong bar vibe. There's a pool table, some games in the back, a big bar area, and a separate dining section, but it definitely feels more like a sports bar than a traditional restaurant. Service was good overall. Friendly and attentive. I'd come back for the appetizers and the atmosphere, but probably skip the burgers next time.
