TL;DR - Food was good, service was serviceable, ambiance was quite (though it was an off time). If you haven't been here - it's worth the try... Stopped in at an off-time and on a somewhat off-day - it was about 4-ish-pm and it was on a Memorial Day Monday. The bar was busy, the outdoor seating was too, but inside it was nice and quite, and more importantly A/C cool. Let they us sit down where we wanted and we were promptly seen by a waitress who took our drink orders and left us to choosing what to pick from the menu. For an appetizer we choose these unique quesadillas stuffed with chicken. It was a very large appetizer that easily can go as a meal if you wanted it just for that. My son had their grilled cheese sandwich - which he loved; my wife had a sandwich which I can't recall, but she enjoyed as well. As for me, I had their gyro stuffed full of lamb and all the expected fixings. It was so big, there was really no way to handle it so I just ate it with knife and fork. Waitress was polite and somewhat efficient, would have liked for her to stop by a time or two more (considering it wasn't busy by any stretch) but it wasn't entirely a big deal. I stopped into Gator Dockside and overall had a pretty mixed experience. We started with the gator bites, which were delicious--definitely a must-try. I also had the gator sausage dip, which came with pita bread and was really flavorful and enjoyable. For our mains, we both ordered the gator/pork burgers, one with sweet potato fries and the other with an onion blossom. Unfortunately, the burgers just weren't my favorite. they didn't stand out compared to the appetizers. The space itself is pretty large, with a strong bar vibe. There's a pool table, some games in the back, a big bar area, and a separate dining section, but it definitely feels more like a sports bar than a traditional restaurant. Service was good overall. All you can eat wings night. Spent 20 minutes trying to get servers attention to order 2nd round. Its now been 35 minutes AFTER that waiting for the next round of wings to come out. I also ordered a side of sauce that has now been 35 minutes. Twice. Figured id go ahead and write this review while i wait, since i seem to have plenty of time. Restaurant is not that full. This is what was advertised as a "smash burger". The patties were barely smashed, unseasoned, and didn't even taste like hamburger nor look the part. I also ordered their birría quesadillas which, first of all barely had any cheese, as well as the consomè tasting NOTHING like it should. The quesadillas themselves had almost no cilantro, and neither the soft shell nor the meat was dipped in the so called consomè. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I am a first timer. I arrived on a Monday or Tuesday for lunch to meet a friend. The restaurant was huge for the amount of customers I saw when I arrived. Perhaps they just opened but there were not many people in there. I think I only saw one server. There were some people sitting at the bar watching a sports game. The food came out quick and the quesadilla was delicious. The server was quiet but not unfriendly. She didn't go above and beyond for service but I wouldn't give her any bad remarks. And I heard this restaurant is dog friendly on the patio. I will probably go there sometime when they don't have any parties on the patio, which was the case one other time when I was going to go there with my dog. Yesterday, my office did a fairly large order for lunch and we picked it up. Once back in the office, we realized our drinks were missing. When I called back, the manager on duty quickly resolved the issue. Also, I had to call back for the receipt this morning before they even opened up. The General Manager-Lindsay Knox, quickly emailed me the receipt and apologized for the mix-up with our order. Our food was excellent! Everyone LOVES the gator chips. First time here. The appetizers were very good... pretzels, gator nuggets & mushrooms. Unfortunately, the goodness did not last. My bro-in-law's chili came out cold as did most of his main dish. I've been going to Gators in Melbourne for at least five years and unfortunately, it is going downhill in my opinion. They have very few items that are fresh. Maybe it will turn around since today they had a whole new menu. My friend wanted to go there because he wanted the avocado salad and he said it was good. Today I stopped by for lunch. Having never been to a Gators Dockside I wasnt really sure what to expect. I was warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. My server Sabrina was not just very friendly but sweet. She was very informative about specials and the loyalty program. She brought me some iced tea while looking over the menu. I decided to try the lunch special Gator Patty Melt with Gator Chips. My order arrived promptly and I am happy to report that the patty melt was very tasty and the fresh made Gator Chips were also very good. I tried the apple crumble for dessert. Gators Dockside is a nice place along N. Wickham Rd. It sits in front of a fairly large strip mall and relatively easy to find with more than adequate parking. Now the goods, for starters the server was very polite and the place is very clean and has that sports bar kinda feel, lots of TVs positioned all around. I opted for a gator bite appetizer.(afterall, it's supposed to be a gator place). It was an excellent choice, very lightly breaded and deep fried, tasty too! Also, I got the Cuban sandwich with fries. It was another good choice (I devoured that thing in no time)! Furthermore, if you're into cold draft beer, they have quite the selection! read more

It is what it is. I go there for the football games and they are great with supporting what ever team you want to watch.

We ordered DoorDash and glad we did. Wings and flavors were well seasoned and flavorful. My husband got grilled lemon peppers and I got the Caribbean jerk. I messed up my order by ordering tenders but was able to call the restaurant and they accommodated. The roasted corn and plantains were amazing. My son enjoyed his wings also, not sure what flavor it was since it was from kids menu and no option to select flavor. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place. read more

Let me start by saying that I only have it 2 stars because the waiter did a good job. Now on to the food. I ordered the steak poutine and let me just say that they have absolutely no idea what poutine is and how it's made. What was brought out to me was some French fries with a little gravy and a slab of what looked like fried cheese not even close to cheese curds. Very disappointed. If I was Canadian I would have been insulted! My wife ordered the gyro and again very disappointed. She said the pita it was served in was awful! All in all a very disappointing experience. MANAGER IS OUT OF CONTROL My friend and I have been coming to Gators on Wickham Rd for many years; ever since Gators purchased the building. They have Golden Tee Golf which we play once or twice per week. On this last Wednesday of August at 2:30 in the afternoon we had just finished our game and we were finishing our last beer and had already paid our bill. My friend commented sarcastically "When are you going to close?" There were only three people in the whole restaurant and we were two of them. The waitress got upset and charged to the kitchen. Moments later the General Manager charges out and exclaims; inches from our face; to GET OUT. We are barred from ever coming there again. He exclaims we are hurting his business with the attitude. He then threatens to call the police; WHICH HE DID. My friend leaves and I was finishing my beer. As I walked out the manager followed me into the parking lot and repeated my license place to the police. At this point I decided I was going to wait for the police. Two Sheriff Duputies show up. I spoke to them; both very friendly helpful officers. I left without any problems. I have never seen a General Manager act in such an aggressive un called for manner. This was WAY OVER THE TOP. This guy is going to cause a serious law suit for this restaurant; and get someone else hurt. read more

Been to this restaurant quite a bit. Service is usually pretty slow but I'm pretty patient and understand staffing issues/related issues with running a restaurant during these times. During nba/nfl season I come in and order their beer tower which is a 128oz container of beer. They brought out our tower and we instantly noticed there was something wrong with the beer. After a beer was poured, all the carbonation was completely gone after about 30 seconds leaving the beer flat. They sent 3 people to our table all of which denied an issue with the beer and said there was nothing they can do. I showed everyone the freshly poured beer with zero carbonation but they insisted it was our taste and not the beer (even though I've ordered the same thing minimum 15 times). Wouldn't recommend going here in the first place unless it's for cheap beer prices but they can't even seem to get that right. read more

I have eaten here a few times and the food has always been decent. My parents come here with my daughter for Kids night on Tuesdays. The wait staff is pretty on top of it and the fry temp is always on point. Good select of beers and drinks. Kid's menu has a good assortment of choices...
