This was a great spot to have a quick work lunch. My team mates and I took advantage of the south Florida weather that decided to play along and sat in the open bar area. We were greeted and sat by Jazeera who took excellent care of us. The outside seating area seemed excellent for a game day or Sunday outing for brunch burgers and brews. Everyone's food was delicious and it was served promptly and accurately despite being a little past peak lunch hours. That was a nice touch. I enjoyed the steak and avocado tacos, though they packed more grilled onions than I cared for. Something to note if that's not your style either. What an unexpected lunch treat at the Hurricane Grill & Wings while visiting our family in Boyton. It was suggested that we come here and we would really enjoy everything. They are conveniently located in a small shopping center so it was easy to get in and there were plenty of parking spaces. You walk in to the retaurant past the plentiful outdoor seating where wew all sat at a hightop. Nice big bar and a crowd (at lunchtime) clearly enjoying them selves. Our very friendly server cam right over to say hello and take a drink order. After a short wait we placed our lunch orders. A couple of burgers and a couple of orders of chicken strips. After a short wait all was served [together] and we had our meal. Chicken strips: Crispy on the outside, tender chicken on the inside. Hamburgers: Cook perfectly (medium). Very tasty and served with a complement of lettuce, tomato, and french fries. Everything was perfect and I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit. It was with high hopes when I made a return visit to Hurricane Grill after a several year lapse. It was not worth it. After being told to "seat yourself", we headed inside to the dining room as almost every empty table at the outside bar was unclean, some with plates left on them. "Do you need menus?", the waitress barked without the slightest hint of warmness or hospitality. After being given menus, we waited and waited and waited. A large party entered the room. We decided to venture the outside bar at which point the waitress, seeing us go inside gave a stinkeye look. Sitting at the end of the bar with somebody's half eaten sandwich in front of me waiting to be removed, we waited and waited and waited again. No hello, no invitation for a drink order... nothing. After another 15 minutes wasted, we bailed. Need I add that the bar and restaurant were as sad and dirty as our visit years ago. Officially on our "no fly" list. read more

We had a very disappointing experience at Hurricane's Grill & Bar in Lake Worth. Our waitress, provided poor service and never returned to our table after taking our order. We were left sitting without any updates, no drink refills, and eventually had to go up to the bar ourselves just to get drinks. Unfortunately, the bartender was rude and dismissive when we tried to order, even though we only went to the bar because our server never came back. When our food finally arrived, everything was cold, we never received silverware, and about half of the orders were wrong. No one checked on us to fix anything, so we were stuck eating cold food with incorrect items -- or not eating at all. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially for what should have been a relaxed saturday out. Between the lack of service, rude bartender, and completely messed-up food, we won't be returning and cannot recommend this location. read more

I haven't been to this place in several years but decided to see if it had improved. It hasn't. It's still dark and dingy in the dining room but we got a table anyway. We waited 15 minutes with servers walking by and not one stopped. We decided to go to the outside bar. We sat at the bar another ten minutes without even a hello from the bartender. Even the bar in front of us still had leftover food from the last customer. We walked out. Still dirty. Still smelly and the service still sucks. No idea how they stay in business. read more

I came in unplanned after a friend's birthday gathering next door at Seven Axes. There was a group of 5 of us that decided to come in for a quick drink and a munch before continuing the night festivities. It's a great place to catch a game on television and hang out during happy hour if it's up your alley. I got the Miami Vice (I think it may be right or completely wrong with the name) frozen cocktail. It was part daquiri and part colada. It was enjoyed with every sip and we split the loaded nachos since it is plenty to share. The drinks and food came out quick and the service was good. It was 10 o'clock at night, so it wasn't a whole lot of people in there. It may have been due to the fair going on. It pains me to give three stars, but it is quite accurate for the current experience at this location. It offers a laid-back atmosphere and a great place to watch football on Sundays. The food is solid too, lots of options with a great menu. My problem is with the service. The last few times we have been there the service has been less than impressive. Constantly reminding servers of forgotten items and our order. Also a few times items have run out after the fact we already ordered. I know things happen, but it seems to be a theme here now. We will still go back once in a while but I've had frustrated experiences the past couple times. Ultimately we are glad this location has remained opened after all this time! read more

So I have been here a bunch of times mostly for bar service and one Sunday lunch with the whole family in tow. I wanted to give it a shot because it is across 441 from the Bonefish Grill and I was inspired by the laid back, beachy, surfer dude decor. Plus because their patio is basically on the curb it was the first establishment I could go have a drink during the lockdown last year. So I kinda owe them one, yanno? The food: Well, it is... Meh, just Ok. We had lunch there once, burgers, tacos, a salad. Nothing to write home about so this place got nixed from the list of after church Sunday lunch places. Sorry. Service: I have nothing bad to say about the folks working there. Service is attentive and spot on. The bar: The shining spot! If you want mediocre service, food, and drinks, this is the place for you. We had dinner there a couple of nights ago. Walked up to the hostess's pew and no one there. A few minutes later, someone showed up. She sat us. Took a while before we saw a waitress. She finally showed up and took our order. Then it took forever (over 25 minutes) to get our food. Had the peel and eat shrimp off their happy hour menu for $6.00. It was 6 shrimp, a dollar a shrimp. Lol Had a chicken Cesar salad. The chicken tasted like nothing, the dressing for the salad was good, though. My son had a burger from the kids menu, and it wasn't thoroughly cooked, so I had him eat around the center since sending back wasn't an option. My husband had the tacos, they were "ok" according to him. It's such a shame that it's not better since the restaurant concept and decor is good. In Covid times you want outdoor seating and this place has it, but that's the only thing it has going fo it. read more

My visit last night to this location was A very unsatisfactory visit. I had my 1st date for Valentine's and she mentioned that she likes chicken wings, I chose this place as I've previously visited in the past and no that the reputation for wings. When I sat down the 1st drink I ordered was a captain and sprite however this did not taste like a captain and sprite. I asked the waitress and she stated that the sprite may be flat. I then ordered another drink which was fine. My guest arrived and I then ordered an appetizer which was a fish dip, when it came out the 1st thing I noticed was the fish dip was a very small scoop and almost resembled oatmeal the texture was very strange. When I tasted it the chips happened to be very stale. I then went ahead and sent it back for chips and salsa which came out very satisfactory after the 2nd time of asking. We then ordered wings and when we received the wings they looked very good thick with lots of meat lots of sauce. My Guest happen to point out that these are very undercooked they're falling apart and very soft and need to be cooked maybe 10 more minutes., At this point I could see her trying forget about it and get through the rest of the night but I could see that she was not satisfied and neither was I after my experience with everything thats when I took it upon myself to let the manager know. Upon speaking to this very rude very disrespectful unprofessional manager who denied everything that I was stating as a customer in a business in a restaurant business that I was wrong that we have good fish dip and that the sprite was flat because of A CO 2 leak, well if you know that you need to let your staff know in a pre meeting before you open for business. The manager did offer to comp my tab After our conversation he then came back over to the table to angrily remove everything off the table including the beer that my guest was drinking from her hand stating that if everything is so bad then you don't need to stay here one more minute. After this experience my date felt that it was important to make sure that the waitress was compensated properly because it was not her fault, while waiting for her to find the waitress the manager took it upon himself to make sure that he made one more last comment to me while I was waiting outside saying that I did make a comment about being somebody that complains about food while that is normally true It's OK if it's one mistake or 1 thing was wrong but when every single item from your beverages to your food is not satisfactory then you need to take a look at that as an experience and a lesson learned and figure out a way of how you could do better. After this experience I will no longer return to this restaurant and I recommend that no one returns to a restaurant with unprofessional disrespectful management and food that is not done right or preserved properly. read more

I'm not a wing snob, but I do appreciate pretty thick wings, anything that I bite into it immediately hit bone is obnoxious. The environment got four stars only because their seating arrangements are a little odd. The interior is very nice for family and friends, but if you're really looking for a fun time sit outside at the bar they have a jukebox that you can use TouchTunes I believe is the brand. With a pretty decent catalog. When I lived in Florida I did enjoy going to hurricanes, but they've definitely upped their game recently in the food quality, and in the selection of sauces. Oh and get their truffle garlic Parmesan fries. They are to absolutely die for. The staff are extraordinarily polite and knowledgeable. Had fabulous service at lunch Saturday from Gianna. I ordered fish and chips - big mistake. Received a large single piece of inedible fish over cooked with the batter so hard it was tough to cut w a knife. Took it home and threw it away. My adult daughter ordered boneless wings which were fine. The small order of coleslaw served in a condiment cup was sour. Should have sent the dinner back but just thought it was a bad day for the cook. The manager saw our side order of fries was woefully small snd sent out another order - good catch. Right away the service was excellent, Stephanie was our server and she was on point with the knowledge of the menu and all.of the suggestions. We order the house burger which cooked perfectly and the crab cake sandwich which was absolutely delicious and flavorful. As for the taste, just terrible, it was so bad that I'm turned off from getting something else to eat after we trashed this food. I will start by saying that the look of the restaurant is fun and creative. It's located in a plaza but has the beach theme to greet you in. Open outdoor bar, benches and sand! Loved the look. Today was a Tuesday, we arrived around 8pm. missed the big crowd of families because all kids eat their meal free with an entree. There was a great balloon artist named "Pepe " who managed to create some creative and colorful hats nearby;I got one too! As an appetizer I ordered the conch fritters to split, with the coco loco sauce. The conch meat was delicious, however the batter was a little over cooked and more crunchy then it should have been. The sauce that we used to dip was a great recommendation from our waitress- spicy and sweet. Entrees were 1/2 rack of ribs (honey BBQ) recommended by our waitress with fries. My mother was delighted by the tender meat that came off the bone; ribs were the bomb! My entree was the small wing platter with an upgrade of two side for $1.99 additional. I choose the broccoli with kettle chips. The wings could be split with two flavored- I went with Jamaican jerky and red chilli . Both were good but the Jamaican was my favorite. Wings were not as juicy as the ribs but more Crunchy which I LIKED. Preferable for me anyways. The kettle chips were satisfying but the surprise was in the broccoli- they had a garlic Parmesan season that didn't quit soak them but dipped them. It was not expected but a great change out of bland that you would assume to broccoli. Mom and I have never been to hurricanes before and we applaud the staff for being friendly- had at least 4 people check on us and ask how we were doing( admiration on my creative hat). Melanie was superb! She greeted us with a smile and checked on us often. We loved the look of the restaurant and admired how clean it was after a kids day. Menu offers truthful a good variety of sand and turf and grill. You can pay at the table they have a machine there to play games, orders, and pay. Not even sure what to say... just saw a large dog and small dog almost get into an altercation near the bar.. after the owner with the large growling dog moved to the other side of the bar.. the bar tender proceeded to pet the dog not wash her hands and serve drinks.. oh while the small dog and large dog were about to fight the other paying customers were equally upset... then the owner of the small dog sitting at the bar puts the dog on his shoulders where the dog falls off his shoulders hanging by a harness... the bar patrons and those at surrounding tables shaking their heads in disbelief.... My husband and I got the check and left before ordering food. We will not return.. also I think it's multiple violations. read more

Came here for lunch with my coworkers and I must say, it was probably the longest lunch break we ever had! We were in the restaurant from 12pm-2pm. No exaggeration. I ordered the boneless wings and they were good. Nothing too special. Everyone I was with seemed to enjoy their food just fine. The biggest hassle was getting our check. It's funny... for a restaurant that was completely empty (besides us) the service sure did suffer. We had to ask for our check after waiting for a good 15-20 minutes when we were done our food. So I went there tonight with the family and I ordered a hamburger with cheese plain. Unfortunately it came out with everything on it to include pickles which I hate the smell and taste of so I asked for them to take it back and it came back out same hamburger smelling of straight pickles just a new bun. I ask very nicely and tell the girl that I really hate pickles and if they can just remake it plain please. She goes back and 30 mins later after my entire family ate it came back out this time the cook thought it would be funny to shove a ton of pickles in it. Now I'm a reasonable guy and figured maybe the restaurant would make a horrible dinner right but not at all I think I was lucky enough to get them to take the burger off. Used to go to Hurricane a few times a year.You could always count on good wings and a nice selection of drafts.Went with my family for Father's Day.Free entree for Dad's.Usually a pretty good crowd,not this day.A few tables outside were taken,and only about 2 tables inside had people.The first thing that hits you when you go inside is a strong pungent odor,seemed like it was coming from the kitchen,but not quite sure.We should have changed to an outside table right away,but it was a little muggy outside,and we had my 80 year old mom with us,and it was hard enough just to get her to where we were.One of the things I liked about the Grill was their huge inside bar,and the amount of drafts I can choose from.They took the bar away and replaced it with games, such as a shuffleboard game,which nobody was playing.Bar games are cool,if your in a bar,but not necessarily in a restaurant.Seems out of place to me.So no huge bar also means less beer taps to choose from,the ones they had were mostly,light or IPA. The food we ordered was OK,nothing great,and two orders we made ,they did not have,and found out after we ordered.The server should know ahead of time,what is not available from the menu.Overall a disappointing,dining experience , even the hostess greeting wasn't all that pleasant. A few years ago,I would have given Hurricane a solid 4 stars,I think I'm being generous giving them 3. If the smell problem doesn't get handled ,I do not think this restaurant will stay open too much longer. read more
