The music in here today was incredibly loud. A couple of times the person waiting on me had to say "what did you say?" The music was so loud that I couldn't understand what the person waiting on me was saying. And I'm not hard of hearing. I asked a couple of times if the music could be turned down. After a while the person waiting on me turned the music down. The person waiting on me was nice. This place was an utter disapointment. It deserves zero stars but that is not an option. I try to test other restaurants when I am in town. I learned my lesson. This place had a limited menu. I not sure they even had a smoker. Boiling the meat does not qualify. They place this sauce on all the meat destroying the meat. I tried to scrap it off. The sides were limited. Disappointed. I went here for the first time today and I was told they were out of mac & cheese, which is fine. And that it would be about 25 or 30 minutes on Ribs. That should've been a red flag to me, but I wanted to believe lol I wanted to trust and I wanted some ribs lol. So I went and ran a couple of errands. I came back. My food was ready and when I got the ribs home, they tasted like.... nothing. They just tasted almost like they were boiled or quick baked with barbecue sauce... I don't know how they prepared these ribs, but it definitely did not live up to their name, off the bone!? Needless to say I won't be going back. I'm glad I used a Visa gift card and didn't pay out-of-pocket for this meal. Although the collard greens and the potato salad were good, you go to a place called off the bone for ribs that are falling off the bone and actually taste like they've been marinated and seasoned. Went in on a Friday afternoon & was greeted when I arrived. I ordered the rib dinner with collard greens, macaroni & cheese, and cornbread. I am not a huge fan of ribs, but it wasn't Sunday so I couldn't order the turkey wing special that I really wanted. The ribs with the half half sauce were delicious. The baked Mac & cheese is great. The cornbread is the perfect amount of sweet and savory. They were also out of red velvet cake which sucked. The pound cake was good, but of course I had my mouth ready for red velvet. My partner had the pulled pork sandwich & said it had the perfect amount of sauce & loved it. The tiger hood ( half pink lemonade and half sweet tea) was so good, I finished the entire drink before I got home. You can call in to place your order ahead of time. I didn't need to because my food was ready about 5 minutes after I placed my order. Will definitely be back on a Sunday for the turkey wing dinner. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!! This place is horrible. I gave it another chance, and somehow this experience was even worse than the last one. Once again, there were no rib tips available, and this time it was only 4:00 PM. That alone was frustrating, but what happened next was completely unacceptable. Today, with some hesitation, I took my uncle to Off the Bone for the first time. He wanted ribs, and he did not realize this place was right down the street from him. I told him I would take him there, but I warned him that this restaurant is very hit-or-miss because they often do not have the food you actually want. Unfortunately, today proved my point. Not only were there still no rib tips, but because of his health, my uncle did not want to travel farther just to find some. So we settled for ribs instead. Trying to stay positive, I ordered 2 rib dinners and 4 slices of cake. I specifically requested sweet barbecue sauce only, because neither my uncle nor I eat mustard. Of course, when the food came out, the ribs had a mix of sweet sauce and mustard sauce on them. I was told it was "some other sauce," but it was absolutely not what I asked for. I immediately asked the young man to take it back because I do not eat mustard and that was not my order. A few minutes later, he brought the food back. In the same container, they had simply poured more red sweet sauce over the food that already had mustard sauce on it. I was shocked. At that point, I immediately asked for my money back. He said, "Give me a minute," walked away, and then came back again, not with a refund, but with the same food in the same container. This time, it looked like they had tried to wipe the sauce off and put new sauce on the same ribs again. Who does that? By then, I told the young man I was getting very upset and that I only wanted my money back. Again, he walked away and came back, but still did not refund me. Instead, he brought out another rib dinner. This time it appeared to be a fresh plate, but with even less meat than before. My uncle looked at me and just shook his head. By then, he had already started eating his ribs with the mustard and sweet sauce mixed together just to keep the peace. Rather than continue arguing in front of him, I accepted the replacement plate and sat down to eat with him. The young man then asked me if I was okay, and I told him plainly: No, I am not okay. I explained to him that I am also a business owner, and this is not how customers should be treated. I also made it clear that I would be posting this review. I paid over $55, and this is how I was handled. To make matters worse, I had forgotten to tip the young man when I first ordered, so afterward I bought 2 bottles of water specifically so I could leave him a $10 tip. Looking back, after the way this situation was handled, keeping that tip felt like an insult. When we walked out, I said, "Never again." My uncle immediately said, "Never again too." Bringing me back the same food three times was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about food quality and proper handling. Refusing my refund twice was poor customer service. And after everything that happened, keeping my $10 tip felt like a complete slap in the face. Like I said before: DO NOT GO THERE!!!! read more

The first thing that immediately stands out is the friendly service. I was greeted by Mariah who was very sweet and helpful. I ordered the smothered pork chops dinner with mac n cheese and collard greens and it was wonderful. The meal also came with a piece of cornbread which was combo sweet savory. Delicious. I will definitely be returning to try the ribs and desserts. They have sweet potato pie! One other thing, I am not a fan of sweet drinks but I ordered a small sweet tea and I am glad I did. I love Off Tha Bone! This location is better than the original because they have a bigger menu. The staff is always extremely kind when I come in and they know me by name because I come so often. The owner is super sweet and always comes to speak to me and thanks me for my business. Now the food is amazing. I'm a pretty plain girl so I always go for fried wings, mac and cheese and yams. But I also love the barbecue chicken and you get great portions for the price compared to other soul food restaurants in the area. It's also in a convenient location right next to Publix so I can order my food go grocery shopping and pick it up on the way out. Keep doing what you're doing guys! read more

I had been wanting to try this place. I decided to go with the chicken dinner and two sides and I ordered an extra side of collard greens. The dinner did come with the cornbread as well. I did get the barbecue sauce which was the most popular sauce. Everything was really good. There is quite a bit of parking in this parking lot. There is seating for the inside I did get this to go. AMAZING service. When you eat here you're eating with family. Not only was the food amazing but the people were so kind and accommodating. Portion size was wonderful! It is an absolute must try. Always love to support family owned businesses!! I got the rib platter with chicken and for sides got collard greens, Mac and cheese, & candied yams (only on Sundays) everything was beyond great!! The best BBQ not boiled is at 68th street and Seminol Pratt Whitney rd in Westlake FL. In Palm Beach County. His ribs are smoked on a pit you can see and never boiled,Ever. Real Pitmasters don't boil their ribs, only boil/bake masters do that. I challenge h8m to a BBQ Cookoff anytime he's ready but he ain't ready for this smoke. This was definitely not good BBQ..... you can get better at Lucille's. The best thing overall was the sauce.
