forgot to take when it came out lol, but this is boneless lemon pepper w/ side of fries.

The perfect lunch spot. We came here on a rainy day with nothing to do. Was a little packed at a random time like 2pm, but that's better than it being completely empty . Food and service were great. My lemon pepper wings were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The fries had no seasoning, but were still edible. Place was a little crowded, but had plenty of TV's and Music to stay entertained.

Good option for American food at the beach! This place was right across from our hotel so we went to check it out. The menu has lots to choose from and the inside is big with lots of seating. The waitress took a bit to come to us since she didn't realize no one had taken care of us yet. The chips and queso were a great appetizer. The burgers are HUGE. I got the mac and cheese burger and liked it. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food!

Baja Fish Tacos that were assembled incorrectly and very bland.

Unfortunately from the walking in the door the experience wasn't the best. We should up a little after 3PM on a weekday, so it wasn't even that busy. Stood at the host stand for 5+ minutes without being greeted by anyone. At this point we're looking on our phones for somewhere else to go before we walk back out into the rain. Finally we are greeted and sat. 10 minutes go by and we haven't had anything interaction from anything until a gentleman stops by and says our server is in the restroom and he'll take our drink orders. He returns with our drinks a few minutes later. We again wait about another 10 minutes with no interactions since we got our drinks. At this point we've wasted almost 30 minutes from entering the door till now and still haven't gotten our food order taken. I'm back again looking for somewhere else to go since it's getting ridiculous. Right as we were getting up to leave, our server finally gets out from the kitchen and takes our order. She was apologetic, and said she was on the phone with her son's school. We get it, we have kids too, but probably should have let the manager know so someone else could have taken care of us. Anyways, skip ahead to getting our food. We're at the 50 minute mark. Finally the food comes out. Everything is hot at least. My kids got the cheeseburger and one had the mac & cheese. The mac & cheese had a large chunk of dried up and hard compacted mac & cheese, which I assume was from the bottom of the pan. The burger was decent. My wife got the Burgerito, which she said was good other than they put onions in it anyways when it was requested to leave out. I ordered the Baja fish tacos, and was very disappointed. The fish was very very bland, so only flavor that I would sometimes get was some char which was good. The coleslaw was in the bottom of the tacos instead of the top making it hard to eat. Overall the food was mediocre, and the service is subpar. Wouldn't recommend.

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Stopped in for a quick bite after hanging at the beach. The food was well prepared and seasoned. The coconut shrimp tacos were pretty tasty, but the shrimp were a bit on the oily side. The pineapple bits were refreshing after time in the sun. The gridiron wings were on point, definitely ordering those again next time! Crispy with a nice flavor and heat to give a little kick without being overpowering. Standard wing place decor with sports on the TVs. Service was slow, but not sure if it was just our server or overall. Menu had a nice variety of items other than wings including 1/2lb burgers, tacos, and salads.

I'd never had grits in fried patties like that but man oh man, scoop you up some of that creamy sauce with it & Lord have mercy it was amazing! Unfortunately I also got a small salad before my meal & didn't have room to finish my entree but I definitely brought it home with me. The salad bar was probably the best I've had - those croutons! Yum! The ranch was good too - if like ranch then you know how different they can be - this was the good ranch! My husband got the pork chop & he said it was really good! My son got the creole linguini pasta & said it was great. It looked to be well seasoned & packed full of flavor! I forgot to get a picture of his. While I don't have any little kids, they did have a neat little play area for them with sand. Outside bar (the drinks were a little pricey in my opinion, my husband's small margarita was like $15 - I stuck to tea lol. They have a nice long dock that you can walk out on, the sunset was pretty. The waitstaff was nice, the only thing I'd suggest is for the host staff to be a little more welcoming & friendly. I know they probably get tired of the lines of people & having to repeat the same thing over & over but I'm sure most everyone they encounter is experiencing that establishment for the first time. First impressions are so important & your staff can make or break you. Luckily, the food is so good that I could overlook that in this case. I'd definitely recommend this place!

When we first arrived at the resort, we were in awe by the beautiful landscaping. We arrived early and decided to have a cocktail at the resort bar before our dinner reservation at 7:30PM. There was live music in the lounge area. When we checked in for our reservation, we were seated right away by a window, which I requested. The view was nice. Our waitress was quiet and seemed very busy with multiple tables. For appetizers, we ordered the fried quail knots and a bowl of soup. For dinner, we ordered the duroc pork chop and 10 oz filet. For sides, we ordered Bayside Blue Mac and Potato Hash. Overall, everything was VERY rich and decadent, heavy. The pork chop was tough, the filet was very thick and tough, the sides were salty, saucy, and heavy. Overall, the resort is nice and the view inside the restaurant is pretty but the food was too heavy and rich for my liking.

The first thing that impressed me was the ample parking. The restaurant also has a small private beach area for customers, along with a great bar area overlooking the water. The property is handicap accessible with both ramps and stairs, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Assistant Manager Taylor. He made me feel extremely welcome and even recommended a lunch item from the menu. I took his advice and ordered the Pork Ribeye Sandwich, and it was absolutely amazing. On the side, I had a salad with their homemade ranch dressing. Without a doubt, this is some of the best ranch dressing I have ever had. The bartender, Cody, was outstanding as well. I tried the Lime Margarita, Blackberry Mojito, and the Strawberry Basil drink. Every one of them was fantastic. You can tell this is a place that people genuinely enjoy working at. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the customers all seemed happy to be there. It's rare to find a restaurant that gets everything right, but Avenue Pub comes very close. If you're anywhere near Orange Beach, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be back.

The place itself is gorgeous. The setting is fantastic. You walk in thinking, "Okay, this is going to be a great experience." Then somewhere between the host stand and the check, things begin to unravel. Today finally pushed me into Yelp-review territory. We stopped in around 1 p.m. on a slow Sunday. The hostesses were gathered around the stand chatting like somebody had just dropped screenshots from the group text. The person who eventually greeted us was wearing dark sunglasses inside, which was certainly a choice. Not exactly the polished first impression you expect from a restaurant charging these prices. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our server struggled to explain the specials, answer basic menu questions, or really seem familiar with what the restaurant was serving. Again, if I'm paying Zeke's prices, I'm expecting something slightly more polished than, "I thinnnnk that comes with..." Then the food arrived. One sandwich was specifically ordered without onions because of a food allergy. It arrived covered in onions. Another meal was supposed to come with Brussels sprouts. It arrived with fries instead. Our server disappeared for about 15 minutes after the food was dropped, so by the time she came back, we were nearly finished eating and in need of refills. I mentioned the missing Brussels sprouts and was told they'd be "right out." The Brussels sprouts were not right out. In fact, the Brussels sprouts apparently entered the witness protection program because we never saw them again. Neither did our server. Eventually she returned with the checks, seemed surprised that the Brussels sprouts had never arrived, removed them from the bill, and otherwise appeared remarkably unconcerned that the meal had been wrong from beginning to end. And that's really my issue with Zeke's. Restaurants have off days. Kitchens make mistakes. Servers forget things. I get it. But when you're charging premium prices, service should be the easy part to get right... and after multiple visits, Zeke's consistently misses the mark. At this point, I'll spend my local dollars elsewhere. And if you're visiting from out of town, just know what you're getting into: the view may be beautiful, but there's a decent chance your wallet will leave considerably lighter while you're still wondering whatever happened to your Brussels sprouts.

My advice, find a seat, have someone order at the order window, then head to the bar to order drinks. The wait to order food took about a half hour. It was very quick to get our drinks. We were able to snag a couch area on a platform. It was so comfy and we loved the views. A heads up- if you snag a couch like this, kids will get up on the platform and jump off of it. People will step up on the platform and walk extremely close to you. I had to ask a kid to stop throwing sand by us because we were eating our dinner. It was a little chaotic. We were extremely patient and understand, but I could see some people being very upset and annoyed. After ordering, our food came out pretty quick. I started with the coconut grouper bites and they were phenomenal. Light breading, lightly sweat, and flaky. I had the Gulf Grilled Cobia and it was phenomenal. The fish was tender, flaky, and light. No fishiness at all. The sauce on the fish was also delightful. My husband and son had the fajita skewers and both enjoyed them. My husband also had the peel and eat shrimp and said they were amazing at The Gulf. Our drinks were okay. We had better drinks at other places during the week, but they weren't bad.
