The staff was very sharp, Carol is the one who checked me in, was very detailed on locations of breakfast coffee bar, etc. as their layout was limited yet the new design made this older building stand out very well. Elevator is right there next to the entry and new carpet everywhere paint and bright art on the walls made this a 2023 hotel that is certainly probably seen many years of use in a unique location very much in need of a hotel like this. The bedroom was clean and fresh, bathroom was impeccable, the beds are my reason for staying at the Hampton Inn, and were extremely comfortable, air conditioning, worked well, and Internet was standard. Everything I'm looking for. This is a very off the road location for me on business but glad I found it and highly recommend it not only to business travelers that service, local industries, but visitors to the lake looking for a nice hotel. My lone complaint was that we stayed here during renovations. They had appropriately provided signage noting that the laundry and gym facilities were closed due to the rehab work going on, but we still had to pay north of $200 for the stay, even with those amenities not be usable. Sort of thought there would be a "pardon our dust" discount. Oh well. The free breakfast in the morning which started at an impressive 6am was excellent. Staffer had it up and running right on time, and the food area was as clean and tidy as I have ever seen with a great selection of items. All in all, a practical place to stay that will soon be a much nicer version of itself.
