Huxdotter is the local coffee shop we didn't know we needed. Their cool new building was completed right when COVID hit, but their drive thru service is great. They walk to your car and take your order while you wait in line so your drink is ready to roll. And they somehow have hired the nicest, friendliest humans around. My kids die for the Italian Sodas. I wasn't sure what to order but the lady in the drive thru was so sweet and asked me what flavors I liked and we settled on trying the Caramel Silk. IT WAS AMAZING. My husband and I are in town working on a cabin about 20 minutes from North Bend. We searched for a breakfast place nearby and Huxdotter popped up. It had great reviews so we decided to try! IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! The staff there is super friendly, the building itself is super cool, and the coffee is superb! I got a SF white chocolate mocha with oat milk and some honey on the side. It tasted better than if I had a mocha with sugar! Seriously so delicious. And you've got to try their iron horse bfast sandwich along with a chocolate croissant! read more

We were on a trip across the state and needed some coffee for the long drive. We do what we always do and Yelp to see what's around and what people think. There was several places but happened to see this one first. Wow were we glad we did. On our way back we took a detour just to stop at this place again. We stayed in North Bend for 2 weeks and came here almost every morning for coffee, we loved it so much. The drive thru is super convenient during COVID and the staff take your order outside when the line gets long, so it goes quick. The cold brew and lattes were always on point. We also tried the donuts one day which were incredible. Sometimes we brought our dog with us and she always got a treat at the drive-thru window. I would absolutely recommend coming here for coffee and pastries! read more

I'm gonna be honest really did not have the best time here. Ordered food and once we got to the window everything we ordered was not available. Then from there spent 20 minutes speaking to the lady at the window trying to figure out what to order. She made it insanely confusing by constantly changing want is available after we'd make a decision. Had to change our order four times. It was again so insanely confusing and even though she spoke with a high voice it did not change how confusing it was. Once we were handed out sandwiches we thought we'd be getting our salads as well only to have been told "oh no we don't have that anymore" when minutes prior she said she did? Love their newly opened large space. It's a bit back from the freeway but worth looking for. Big tables, couches, little tables for studying. They serve Counter Culture coffee, which was a nice surprise. Foamy lattes, salads, sandwiches, and pastries from Macrina. They even have Manini's gluten free brownies. Got the veggie breakfast sandwich. 1 piece of onion and 1 slice of bell pepper on the sandwich. Mostly just egg on my English muffin. Tried to use hot sauce to give it some taste but none of the packets would open. They didn't have and of the pastries available as listed on their menu. Won't be back unless the only other option is McDonald's read more

After a long 8+months of waiting for the new and improved coffee house. I am disappointed by the items that have been removed from the menu and that the pricing went up . I do like that now they offer more outdoor seating and perhaps that they have more food options. the drive in aspect is a bit confusing if you arent from the area. , otherwise it is nice to see the old staff and wish the new employees luck, hopefully they remember how far smiles go. read more

Beautiful new building with ample indoor and outdoor seating! I was a bit confused when there menu did not offer any prices. I asked if they had a print out menu so I could get an understanding of their menu offerings and what I was getting myself into. Admittedly, I don't love spending $7 on a latte so I tend to pay attention to the dollar amount and find some thing that I think is unique and priced well! The staff member was a bit thrown off by my request and was unable to provide a price menu. I then felt a bit awkward asking how my much drunk would be at the end. A bit flustered, I ended up with what I would consider and overpriced drink (maybe I should have splurged for one of their fun specials?). Will say that the views, ambiance, and outdoor seating made up for it all! Would pay and return for a nice afternoon working at the store - but would skip out on grabbing drive through with ambiguous pricing. read more

Great coffee spot, the shop looks great on the outside and nicely done on the inside. The staff is friendly and fast, great coffee selection with alternative milks. Its an overall great spot to check out. Good amount of seats to meet with people or come in to do homework or do some work. Its for sure worth checking if you are in the area. read more

I won't recommend the ham and cheese crossiant we just stopped here after driving 3hrs on our way back home. The crossiant bread was good but there was more bread than ham and cheese. It was nice and warm however but wasn't worth the almost $50 we spent. The staff was super nice and helpful but food was a bit overpriced for the amount. All the doughnuts were good but we got shorted one apple fritter. read more

My wife and I visited Huxdotter on our way across the state! The location isn't quite as convenient for travelers as Starbucks, but is less than a half mile off i90 and is well worth driving there! Coffee quality was very good in both of our lattes! We appreciate good espresso an Huxdotter did not disappoint! Even better than the coffee quality was the quality of service! The two ladies working the stand were SO friendly and kind! We felt welcomed as soon as we drove up to the window. They helped us select our drinks and were happy to serve us. 5 stars for their Chai Lattes alone. They put enough cardamom in there... mmmm. inside it is a bit loud and it echoes but the seating is ample, it's clean and pleasant, and the view is nice. Staff have always been friendly. The coffee is probably good too, but I can't pass up their Chai So I can't really remember their coffee. read more

This is one of a few local coffee shops that I frequent regularly here in the valley. Huxdotter' does a great job. It's locally owned and operated, which is important to me. There doesn't seem to be a lot of turnover, which suggests that they treat the help well. Service is prompt and pleasant, and I don't think I've ever had a bad drink there. It's a great drive-through in the heart of town, far better than the mermaid joint over by the interstate. read more

I left Huxdotter's completely disappointed today. The times I have gone there before I have asked for an egg and cheese sandwich and they happily handed over just that. Today I asked for an egg and cheese sandwich and she asked if I wanted sausage or ham. I said that I am a vegetarian so no meat. She said they don't have a plain egg and cheese and that she could just peel the meat off. Wait...what?! I can understand that for someone who may just not like meat being ok with having a sandwich that has been smothered in meat and just had that meat peeled off. This is something that they should tell people. The first time I ordered it the girl knew I was a vegetarian. I guess maybe she didn't have any common sense because I think most people would take that to mean that I'm not okay with a meat sandwich that had the meat pulled off. read more

This coffee shop is a small stand that my girlfriend and I happened upon one day after driving back from three forks dog park. And I'm glad that we did. I got the Mexican mocha. It was delightful! The cinnamon inside made the coffee for me, and the espresso itself wasn't bitter at all. I find that a lot of coffee shops try to make the shots of espresso strong, but end up just making it bitter. This place nailed it in my opinion. My girlfriend got a white chocolate mocha and she kept going, "mmm" so, I'll take that as a good sign :) On top of that, they usually have little dog treats for your pup and that's always a nice touch. The girls working there are super nice and great to talk to. I've already been back a couple of times. If you're in the mood for some great coffee, give this place a go. read more
