Twin Peaks was a show that hit the exact right chords for me. Having cherry pie and a cup of coffee here was a bucket list item. We stopped by for a Tuesday morning breakfast, and the staff was super friendly and the foot was surprisingly good and plentiful. There are bits of Twin Peaks memorabilia (including a book of fan made memories of David Lynch). The pie and coffee were might fine. Let me start by saying, I haven't even seen the show, and this place was fantastic. I'm not even close to your regular connoisseur of 'basic breakfasts', and this breakfast was just phenomenal. If I were to ever get a 'basic breakfast', I'd come here. The server was quick and the perfect amount of friendly. The place, of course being from Twin Peaks, felt super special to be inside. The food was right in the middle of the scale for me . This is diner food at it's middle of any of diner food They do have their gimmicks like all small places do , his is one thing I believe in. I got the mushroom burger and just by looking at I can tell it is a premade patty. It was good as any premade is but it did come with fresh tomato and onion along with lettuce. My gf got the tuna melt . She said it was good . Both can with fries. The service was good , although I could have used a check in or a water refill. There are fresh treats in the treat case ie : cookies and rice crispy treats. I do believe there is pie somewhere in diner too. The atmosphere is a bit of everything. We stopped by Twede's Cafe after a hike to refuel with some carbs, and it was such a fun stop. It's famous for appearing in Twin Peaks, and we loved looking at all the memorabilia. We ordered two of the mix-ins without realizing just how massive the portions are. When the plates came out, we were honestly shocked by the size. Mexican Mix-In - Really flavorful and loved how cheesy it was. This ended up being my favorite of the two. Jalapeño Mix-In - Also tasty. The jalapeno had a good kick. Both dishes were a super hearty mix of potatoes, cheese eggs, and toppings -- classic comfort breakfast food. The portions were huge; we barely made a dent and probably only ate about a quarter before we were completely stuffed. How could I not visit THE Twin Peaks diner. Yes, I made my fiancé drive the opposite direction of our plans just so we could get breakfast here. It was about 40 minutes east driving from downtown Seattle. I'm so happy I did. It's fun living in pop culture. Parking was easy to find, it was right along the cafe. On our visit (it was a weekday), it felt like a healthy mix of locals and Twin Peaks fans. We were seated immediately. Our server was super sweet and attentive. I love that they had a budget menu with me sized portions! I always want pancakes, meat, and eggs, but can rarely finish a big breakfast. This was the perfect option for me and quite delicious. My fiancé got the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and the meat was burnt. He wasn't the biggest fan. The hash browns were nice. We of course got some coffee and cherry pie. If you like a dark roast, this is the cup of coffee for you. I LOVED THE CHERRY PIE. I don't go out of my way to normally order pie, but when I do I dream of it being as tasty as this one. The soft serve vanilla ice cream on top really elevated the whole thing. It was fun to see all the Twin Peaks paraphernalia in the space. There was also a book filled with art and letters from fans. I especially loved the nail sets. I loved the nostalgic feel of this cafe. If you're in the area (or even not haha), I'd recommend checking this gem out. read more

If I'm not wrong, this is the spot famous for the cherry pie that Kyle MacLachlan's character loved to eat in the show "Twin Peaks." Like several of the businesses in town, the cafe features wonderful retro design and signage. We can vouch for the pie as well - it's amazing. We inhaled the pie. I had no idea of the famous roots of this place until we actually ate there and almost everyone dining there was because of the Twin Peaks tv show in the 90s. Learning this gave me high hopes but I was quickly disappointed. We did have to wait a half hour to be seated but I figured that was normal with it being a weekend in the summer. It took almost an hour for our food to come out and the restaurant was only half filled. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my husband got the half order of biscuits and gravy. My Chicken fried steak was pretty good which is why I gave it 2 stars, everything else was lackluster. I asked for my eggs over medium and they were barely easy. Something I couldn't eat. Our waitress also took our sodas for a refill and never brought them back and we still had half the meal to go and were not checked on after that. When checking out I did express our disappointment with the hostess who told us to just come back another day. Unfortunately we're not from the area so it's rare for us to be out that direction more than once a year. We'll look at another meal location next time.. read more

As Twin Peaks fans, my husband and I were so excited to stop by Twede's Cafe to try some cherry pie and a damn good cup of coffee. Thankfully, we were not disappointed. When we first walked up to the cafe, you're welcomed by the giant sign at the front. As soon as you open the doors, you're welcomed with the exact same warm, welcoming cafe interior that you see on the show. They kept everything the same, which was such a treat! We were seated very quickly and were luckily placed in a booth near the back, right by a picture of Norma where she sat in season 3. Our server was also very kind and got us everything super quick. The coffee itself is exactly what you'd expect - coffee. The milkshake was quite decadent with the chocolate, needing a lot of mixing if you really want to use the straw. Otherwise, a spoon is perfect for the sweet treat! Finally, the cherry pie was warm, comforting, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The crust is nice with just a bit of crunch to it, which matches perfectly with the cherry filling. I'd come back just for the pie! This is a great spot for some food and an even better spot if you're a fan of the show. I pretty much made Twede's my personal kitchen while in town. Here's how that went: Day 1: Cheeseburger/fries. The burger had shredded lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise and was very good, even a little on the salty side (and I don't say that too often). Bottomless fries were okay but even at okay, I'm eating them. I don't even care for shredded lettuce, but I wiped that plate clean. Being on Sunday, this was the busiest of all my time here. Staff was great thanks to Arianne and Levi. Day 2: Hash browns, crispy bacon, chocolate chip pancake (1). Portions are huge, and I should have inquired how large the pancake was as I could not finish this. All was very good, especially the hash brown, which basically took up the whole plate. I didn't get the name of the nice lady working this early shift. Day 2.5: Roast turkey dinner (vegetable was corn) with a roll and side salad (thousand island dressing). Turkey was good, mashed potatoes were Really good, cranberry sauce was perfect, corn was not very warm, but was edible. This was a great, but filling choice. Enjoyed this at a booth away from the windows. Thanks Jacob for making cool conversation. Day 3: BLT on toasted white with ruffled chips and cole slaw. The ideal send-off for me since it left me pleasantly full, but not overstuffed. Cole slaw was actually really delicious; strange as it may sound, I swear it almost had a buttery taste which sounds odd but whatever it was, it worked. Brandi, you were awesome! As for dessert, I'm honestly not a huge pie fan but for obvious reasons, I had to try their cherry pie. I 'tried' this twice out of my four visits (had I been able to take this on the plane, I would have had a third 'try'). This was so good; cherries were more sweet than tart (my preference), and the crunch of the crystallized sugar on top of the perfect crust made it even more enjoyable. Sat at the counter for the first couple times as not to take up a booth for multiple parties. However, I finally took over when I realize coming at off-hours helped so I didn't have to think about taking up all that extra space. Smaller people like myself would do best at the first counter stools; the back ones sit higher up, but so does the counter. Parking: they have their own lot which was packed when I first came here, but I found a street spot easily on my other visits. No meters (or I didn't see any), I think 2-hour limit. The only non-edible item I bought was a pin to add to my bag since I already had ordered a RR mug to my place before Christmas. Only those 'in the know' will understand the following: No logging trucks drove by, no weird plaster-masked kid was in the parking lot with his grandma. I realize now there was no jukebox here, but they had classic rock playing lightly in the background, since there's always music in the air. I hope no one goes (or has gone) 'MT Wentz' on this place, because that would be tragic. However, I get everyone will have their own experience, and I'm so happy to say mine was a great one. read more

Come enjoy your damn fine cup of coffee and cherry pie from the iconic television series twin peaks. The outside is going through some construction but the inside is still modeled to look like the television show. Food is excellent and worth the visit even if you are not a fan of the show. Inside was very crowded, but wait times are not too bad. Usual wait time was 30 mins and will send you a text when your table is ready so you can explore the downtown area. With the addition to the coffee and pie I also enjoyed the corned beef hash with medium eggs and a strawberry milkshake. Both of which I had to get, along with a chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, and corned beef hash. This breakfast spot is always busy, so there was a considerable wait for our meal, but the service, kitchy ambiance, and giant portions made up for it! Sadly, the vegan and regular cherry pies were not very good. I wish the crusts had been flakier and the filling had been less processed; the whipped cream did not taste fresh and was more like Cool Whip. This place rules. Friendly, awesome service. Easy to get on the wait list. They (almost) always get you in sooner than they say. The coffee is of the highest diner quality. The burgers are delicious and they have so many vegetarian/vegan options. The pie is amazing. They also have milkshakes and soft serve. A pastry case if you're still hungry after all that. The servers are incredibly friendly, attentive, and on the ball. They have also fully embraced the Twin Peaks connection so you're basically eating at the R.R., if that means anything to you. I got to sit in Bobby and Major Briggs' booth today. We used to have a lot of great diners in Seattle and now most of them are gone or not any good. It's worth it to drive to North Bend for a proper diner experience. read more

I'm a huge Twin Peaks fan, so in some way this was basically guaranteed to be a slam dunk for me. It's cool that they've maintained the aesthetic, and they have some Twin Peaks memorabilia for you to peruse. However, I don't think that alone would have been able to propel the business for 30+ years, their great food and service have done that for them. My first meal (breakfast) was good enough that I made sure to visit a second time (for lunch) before the end of my vacation. The peanut butter and jelly burger was a delicious oddity, the chocolate malt was also excellent. The hash browns were perfectly crisp. And of course, the cherry pie was fantastic-- the filling was closer to a jelly, and was just incredible. What a wonderful treat! It was a pleasure to visit Twede's yesterday. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive; the other staff were nice and welcoming, and we enjoyed the campy Twin Peaks atmosphere and memorabilia. Our food was delicious. That's a damn fine café! Twin Peaks association aside (if possible), my wife and I absolutely loved everything about this incredible little diner. Family-run (or so it seems), with friendly, attentive and efficient staff, a sizeable menu of primarily breakfast, lunch and brunch staples, desserts (cherry pie, anyone?) and, of course...a damn fine cup of coffee! My wife and I ordered the mushroom swiss and jalapeno burgers, respectively, and her burger was, in her own words, "the best she'd ever had!"...and this is coming from the woman who claims that she's "not much of a burger person". Lies! Maybe that was true once upon a time, but I've worked my magic on her, and this is decidedly not the case anymore! And after this weekend's visit, I expect her tune to change! Similarly, the jalapeno burger was juicy, saucy, spicy and delicious. I always say, if I don't have to ask for a bottle of A1 sauce, then it's a good burger. In fact, it's a damn good burger (starting to notice a trend, here?). To round things out, we both had a mimosa, referred to by our awesome server Jacob (if I remember correctly) as "happy juice", and of course, a slice of that cherry pie! Portion sizes are absolutely absurd, but somehow the prices do not reflect this. How they manage to keep the doors open is a bigger mystery than the fate of Laura Palmer! The food is not great. Not even for trashy dinner food. I'm not yelping this for the quality of food. I'm yelping this because I'm a Twin Peaks fan. We got a patty melt, that came with bottomless hand cut fries, "damn good" coffee, and "twin peaks" cherry pie. The patty melt was fine, but not for the price, the coffee was so burnt, and the cherry pie not baked long enough. The service was ok. They seemed stress from a rush but whatever, they are serving a bunch of weirdo fans for a weirdo show from the 90s. All that said, I really enjoyed it. I bought merch, the best the town had to offer, ate an ok burger, drank terrible coffee and ate bad cherry pie. I would go again. We came here on President Day, a busy Monday late morning. I'm not a Twin Peak fan but I'd say this place looks like a cute cozy diner in the neighborhood that I'll come here to have a big breakfast every now and then. There were still some seats available on the bar so we took them since tables were required to wait. I had veggie omelette and my partner had three pieces of French toasts. It took a while for us to had our food since it was a busy hour. But my we both agreed it was worth the wait. I liked my omelette, first, the portion was HUGE. Egg was nicely cooked. Second, there were lots of veggies in it. Flavor wise, omelette was a bit bland so I had some salt and pepper and it became just perfect. Hash brown was good too, crispy and crunchy on the outside. Staff are always friendly even when super busy. They try to accommodate people as much as possible. Since I have only ever gotten pie to go I cant speak much of the food.
