His quote,including his mobile fee, was less than all the other quotes for my repairs . I was told I needed a new alternator, tuneup and Possibly a cracked engine block. when he checked the charging system It was fine. The only problem was a loose battery terminal. No alternator was needed, nor a tuneup his only charge was $50 for his visit. He didn't even want to charge me for an oil change. He said everything was fine.come back at 85,000 for the oil change. Dealership also quoted me that i needed a new harness along with the part he replaced - after further inspection from Zap he saw it was just not plugged in properly and saved me a ton of money! I've never known a mechanic that honest (the dealership surely wasn't) - he could have easily replaced the part and charged me for it but he was honest and for that he will forever get my business. Keep in mind I just put new tire on my car a year ago and I mainly work from home. I questioned the guy on why he recommended new tires when I literally got them a year ago... he said the tread was bad. I left and went to a tire shop. They said my tires are great and I just needed an alignment done and to tighten lug nuts. Never had a problem since. I went there a second time( fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me), out of desperation. My car AC stopped working and needed someone to take a look. They looked at it and quoted me a couple grand to fix it .... (Which is close to the full value of my car). I went to a different mechanic , and explained my situation. He looked at the car and kept it overnight. Minor leak that was fixed, and I was out of there for $200. "Honest" 1 wanted me to get a new compressor and evaporator and more. Then whe I asked a breakdown of how much labor costs per hour, he said it varies.... I've never herd that before. I also had a loose bolt that connects the sway bar to the suspension I asked them to tighten bc of a noise and they said that wasn't it. I went home and tightened it myself and the noise was gone. I should have trusted my gut and never went back after the first experience but I usually don't judge a place with one visit. This time I wish I had. I would not recommend this place. Please do your research better than I did when picking a place to service your car.

I had a follow up with a question which was why don't they install parts pre purchased - because I'd like to have a warranty on my parts . The response was "we don't provide warranty " , which I knew they wouldn't provide warranty on my parts since I pre purchased my part with its own warranty and they didn't answer if they do provide warranty on their own parts and labor . My main question was why don't they install pre purchased parts and I was hoping they gave me another option alternative option. It was a missed opportunity was they didn't give me another option for the service, such as offering me warranty on parts and labor if I used their service/business . Maybe even educating me as a future client as to the why their business doesn't do that . Overall the response was quick but my question wasn't answered . Drove there on a spare on '19 and was rudely told after waiting 15min in the lobby that they "could not fit me in today" after telling me to come in earlier and that it would be no problem. They had my number and could've easily called to let me know, but decided a customer isn't worth that courtesy. Went to the Goodyear next door and got a great deal and very timely service. Will not be coming back to Precision!
