We'd called them for a clogged dishwasher drain, and when asked to upgrade some of our fittings, they happened to have everything they needed on hand, and accepted the additional task. Thankfully they also discovered an unknown leak from the water main into our crawl space. It looked like it may have been dripping for some time. They didn't hesitate to repair, even though (due to circumstances beyond anyone's control) we had to wait a couple hours to drain the pipes. They were thoughtful, patient, thorough, fast and skilled. There is no question who I will recommend or call, if anyone should need plumbing services. Their customer service and quality control (everything was checked and double-checked) were extraordinary. AJ, Mike, and Joe were fantastic. On time, knowledgeable, very polite, professional, and tidy. Absolutely the best service and overall experience with a plumbing company that I can recall in my life. A circulating pump on the top of our hot water heater developed a leak and eventually caused the hot water heater to shut down. They assessed the problem and replaced a worn seal on the pump line that was the core problem. Absolutely no upselling....they fixed the issue, flushed the hot water heater (which turned out to be just fine after replacing the pump seal), tested to make sure the issue was resolved, and explained everything so I understood what had happened. Outstanding!! I had called another plumber the day before to find a leak that had soaked my carpets. This other plumber had to call his boss to get advice and ideas and finally left with no idea on how to find the water leak. Still charged me $130. I called AJ and he came out within an hour of calling. and went right to work. He found the problem, a leaking pipe in the wall, opened a small portion of the wall and replaced the leaking pipe. It sure does feel good to get fast service from someone who knows what they're doing. I now have his information on my phone, just in case I need his services again. read more

We had a small part on our water heater that corroded. Unfortunately it did corrode so far the water heater couldn't be saved. HX Mechanical tried to fix that first however and even went to multiple stores to find the part we needed. Since that would have saved us significant money we really appreciated that they tried. They then were able to get our new water heater installed that same day. We had a quote from a bigger company that was $3-4 THOUSAND more dollars. The team was professional and easy to work with. They responded quickly to our initial quote as well. We are so glad we found them and highly recommend them. read more

Incredibly responsive - the only plumber I could find who would come in 48 hrs. They installed a thicker walled copper pipe and was able to pull in a new pex line without having to cut my drywall to pieces. For the pieces of drywall they did cut, it was measured out into square pieces so that a drywall contractor wouldn't have a difficult time patching. I checked on plumbers on Yelp and selected one that looked pretty good. Then while on Yelp I requested a quote. I was surprised by Yelp asking a series of questions detailing what was wrong and what I needed to fix the problem (kitchen faucet that was leaking badly). I answered the questions and up came three names including the one I requested. Yelp then sent the answers to three plumbers to get a quote. To my surprise, HZ Mechanical and one other answered the request in less than 15 minutes. I looked at the estimates and selected HZ and submitted my request. Fifteen minutes later I had an appointment for a Saturday no less. AJ showed up 5 minutes early and got to work. It took a while because of a parts problem but the leak was fixed. Turned the water on and there was another hidden leak. A piece of the faucet was damaged that was not replaceable and I needed a whole new faucet. We got a new faucet and AJ proceeded to install and test the new one. All was well and the job was done. AJ proceeded to clean by the work area and even sanitized the spaces. When I asked much I should write the check for, AJ stuck by his estimate although he spent more time than he thought to start with by at least double. I'm 78 and have owned 13 houses as I moved about the country and this was a first for me. A perfect job and at the price quoted. I only wish I could award 6 stars because he deserved them. By the way, I did not know AJ and this was the result of a cold call. I can't wait to tell my friends the story. Thank you AJ for a great job. read more

We woke up on a Thursday to a complete lack of hot water from our 11 year old water heater. A quick visit to Yelp revealed some well deserved great reviews for HX Mechanical. A little scheduling juggling on their part and AJ and Michael (Father Son team) worked us in not only the same day but they were able to be at the house dismantling the old heater an hour later. Their contacts managed to get us all the necessary parts, including the heater, within two hours and by 12:30 we again had hot water. They were extremely professional, courteous and left the area cleaner than it was before.
