Made an appointment. They didn't show during the 2-hour window and didn't let me know they'd be late. When I called in to find out what was going on, they had an AI assistant answer the phone that barely worked. They finally called me back, put me on hold for a while, and then said they'd be at least another hour. Seems like this company is too big for its britches. I won't be hiring them again--going back to a smaller company that actually cares about the customer. What's my issue? I scheduled an appointment and burned afternoon PTO waiting during a 2-hour window. No one showed, and no one bothered to call. When I reached out twice, I was trapped in a completely unhelpful, robotic AI assistant from India that failed to handle basic routing. After being placed on hold and disconnected (the AI said they would call back), I finally got a call back from operations--only to be told the tech was running another hour late (which would have been 1 and 1/2 hrs past the window). When I expressed reasonable frustration over a wasted afternoon and said this was ridiculous, the dispatcher offered zero empathy or accountability, gave a cold "Okay, bye," and hung up. If your techs are running behind, basic field operations dictating contacting the customer 45 minutes ahead of time--not leaving them in the dark, wasting their time, and hiding behind cold script readers and a robotic AI. Unacceptable way to treat customers. Complete HVAC replacement and switched to a tankless water heater. From start to finish, every step of the way, each team member did excellent work. When they hit a snag (as does happen) they knew where to turn for guidance and support. The team persevered until all systems function properly. They charge a $59 trip charge which you lose if you don't use them to fix the problem, but know that the trip charge only covers a GUESS of the problem. They guessed it was the wax ring which would cost $316. That was on the expensive side... but I would lose $59 at that point to go somewhere else. Then they wanted to charge to replace the flange (the actual problem) but the quote price went up to $800 to fix. Final result: my trip change was $200 to not fix anything, just pull the toilet off! Will not under any conditions use them again!!!! Hired another company who did an amazing job completely for $525. Even with losing the Rock Plumbing Fee (yes I consider it a gamble I lost)... Kaleb still saved me $75 on what I would have paid if I had continued with Rock! read more

A couple months ago we decided to to do a membership with Rock Plumbing, Heating & A/C. So far I can say I'm not disappointed that we did this. With the temperature warming up we discovered that our A/C wasn't working correctly so we called Rock Plumbing and they not only came out to look at it and diagnose that the main motor had failed after we had another company work on it last summer. The technician had the replacement part on the truck and was able to fix the problem the same day. Well worth the monthly membership fee to have this level of customer service. Person was polite but spent most of the time commenting on our water quality and how we needed a specialized filtration system (~$7k). Their replacement estimate was the most expensive of the (3) quotes. Only Rocks charged a service fee. Think twice about companies that need to charge a service fee. Water heater replacements can easily cost $2k+. read more

We used these monkeys to get 2 faucets replaced in our master bath. Not only was their pricing well above average, $450.00 each, we had to have them come back out twice. The first time because one faucet was not plumb (leaning), and the second time because my drain wasn't draining as it did before. The tech. took it apart and immediately took a photo of the lateral pipe between the 2 sinks, showing a tiny bit of gooey substance, and said that was the reason it wasn't draining properly. Rather than just remove it, he stood there and watched as I ran a screw driver through the pipe fora few seconds and it was fine after he reassembled it. However, after he left, the drain plug was no longer functioning. I fixed it myself. The HVAC side was phenomenal. We had an on demand hot water system installed because our 22 year- old boiler had given up the ghost. They promised a 2 day installation, and even stayed until 8:00 P.M. the first night so they would be sure to finish the next day. Their workmanship was top notch, and our gas bill was reduced by one third. I wholeheartedly recommend that side of the company. If I could leave 5 stars for them, I most definitely would. read more

Great communication and great service. But they are outrageously expensive. We had a $36 solenoid valve that took 45 minutes to replace and was charged $328 plus a $99 service fee. If I would have known it was the valve, I could have done it myself. It's that easy. So if you want to pay for great service and communication, Rock is your company. But there are other companies that can do just as good of a job for far less. read more

Josh Eker is incredible! He is extremely knowledgeable, polite, efficient, and transparent. He explained everything in as much detail as we wanted and he took the time to explain the costs completely. There were no surprises, except how much we enjoyed what is normally not an enjoyable experience. Josh got our 20+ year furnace running so quietly we can't even hear when it turns on! He went above and beyond! When we get around to replacing our furnace/ AC/ and water heater we want it to be Josh or no one, so I sure hope Rock knows what they have and keeps him! The cost for Rock is a bit more than some of the other guys, but the value you get for the cost makes it a much better deal. When you call, the phone rings, you're put on eternal hold, then you get dumped into a voice mail system, they MAY, respond in 3-4 days. they don't keep appointments. my Dad has cancer treatments, they don't care. The team at Rock led by Rob Heavilin made a mistake at a customers house and we came in to repair it. They destroyed a sprinkler wire and they destroyed the sod. They sent a kid out to do the "repair" but he couldn't do it do they contracted Landscapes 101, my company, to do the repair for them. We finished the repair and Rock made another mistake of paying the guy who we subbed out to do the repair $600. We asked them to pay directly to us before they cut the check because we realized the sub was stealing from us. Instead they supposedly wrote the check to the sub but I've seen no proof of payment either way. I waited patiently for two weeks to write this review hoping they would do the right thing but they only seem to be interested in picking up the phone and speaking with me when they need something. Now that the work is done they aren't interested in calling me back or making me whole. Furthermore when I told Rob that I would be writing a negative review he threatened to write a bad review for my company out of spite and I will attach the screenshot of that conversation. I wouldn't hire a group who won't honor their work to a company way smaller than theirs. We have 2 employees. If they don't respect me then they may not respect you either. read more

Our boiler stopped working so we called Rock Plumbing and Heating. The technician spent 2 hours troubleshooting our unit and said the heat exchanger was bad. He quoted us $7500 to replace it. Our unit is 12 years old and no longer under warranty. The unit new was only $5000 plus installation. We asked how much it costs for a new boiler. He said $25,000. He later came down to $18,000 and ultimately $17,000. I researched the cost of the new boiler that was recommended and it was $2800. Therefore, the cost of installation was $14,200. We felt pressured to go with the absurd quote as the temperature in our area was in the single digits. I believe the company thought they could use the low temps as leverage against us. We ended up calling another plumbing who was recommended. He came out on a Sunday and took 30 minutes to find a faulty pilot igniter. He sanded the old igniter removing some built up grime then reinstalled it. Within an hour our boiler was working perfectly. He only charged us $60. I should mention the Rock Technician charged us $250 for the wrong diagnostics. read more

Mario and Quentin quickly repaired the problem and also provided me with a cost effective solution to prevent future repeat issues. However, in the midst of this repair and because my sprinkler system was not properly winterized last year, a second more serious problem occurred. Mario and Quentin reassured me they could remedy the new issue (on the inside of the house). I explained I was a first-time homeowner, and he offered to show me everything he was doing if I wanted to learn about the systems. So, I literally pulled up a chair and he walked me through everything. I feel really lucky to have found such a great company and a technician like Zach who is willing to go out of their way to help. He was very thorough and I definitely felt like I was in good hands. I will for sure be calling Zach again when it's time to turn on the AC for the first time! My experience with the office was also great. They answered all my questions in advance of the visit and they were very communicative to tell me Zach was actually going to be early and if that was okay with me. They then called me right after he left to ask how everything went. I realize it sounds like I should be getting paid for this review, but I am just a happy customer.
