I love the Hyatt at Olive 8. First, the valet parking was so easy - although it's $65/ night that appeared to be the going rate in downtown Seattle for the convenience of parking in the hotel. Check in - so efficient! I reserved a corner king room, and had a decent view of some adjacent office rooftops. The room was clean, they provided a keurig coffee maker, Stash tea. The water was a refillable aluminum bottle with refill stations located on certain floors of the hotel. The gym on the 2nd floor was really spacious - lots of treadmills, bicycles, weights, Precor machines and a room for yoga. I thought my stay at the Hyatt was pretty pleasant and I would stay here again. All of the staff was so helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We usually stay in Bellevue but hotel rates during Super Bowl weekend was 2x to 3x for some reason. Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Olive 8 both looked decent from reviews and are literally next to each other. We went with Olive 8 and wound up with an awesome stay. 1. First, the parking is VALET only at about $65/night with in/out privileges. You text a special number and usually the car is ready in 7 min. They do have self parking garages nearby at lower rates, but note they may not have in/out privileges. 2. The hotel is sleek, boutique hotel with an awesome spa and gym on the 2nd floor. Their main locker room also serves as the restroom and is fully stocked with lots of amenities - comfy sofa, water, shaving equipment, and showers. Love that lemony lotion. 3. Rooms are large and comfy with tons of storage space. We had two restful, quiet nights of sleep. 4. Dining includes a bagel shop, pizza vending machine, and Tidal+, which is sit-down breakfast in the morning and a full seafood place at night, specializing in fish and oysters. 5. They have refillable aluminum water bottles in the room with filling stations throughout. You won't see plastic water bottles or free coffee here. Instead, you can get excellent coffee at Tidal+ or across the street in places like Anchorhead or Starbucks Reserve. 6. Proximity, very convenient walk to Westlake Center for shopping, AMC for movies, and short drive to Chinatown. We will definitely consider staying here again.

I just stayed here for one night. I'm a Hyatt globalist and was upgraded to a suite that was pretty large. I got in pretty late, so ordered room service. It just came in a paper bag versus a full room service cart like I'm used to, but it was fine. I liked that they gave you two aluminum water bottles and they have water refill stations throughout the hotel. One of them was supposed to be on my floor, but I looked all over and couldn't find it. It was easy to find in the lobby though. I used the sauna and steam room in the locker room, which were pretty basic. They also have a nice pool and hot tub. You can't use the lockers in the locker room if you're not getting a spa treatment, but you can use the lockers in the pool area. I ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was good.

I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt at Olive 8. Check in was quick; they have a seafood restaurant with a happy hour (this is great, if you love oysters); they have a small coffee shop in the lobby; it's in the middle of downtown and near many activities and restaurants; the hotel was very clean and I did not encounter any unpleasant staff members. Things to know before you book: if there's an event happening (Taylor Swift concert and conference for my visit), expect a very crowded lobby area (it's not the largest space); valet parking is pricey and I believe the only option; double check your card (I was charged again for a pre-paid booking); and you must use your room key for everything in the hotel (entry, elevator, lights in the room, etc. ).

Hyatt at Olive saved my life. I spent the night before at a Hilton Garden Inn in a neighboring town, which made me feel suicidal. So I checked out of the Hilton Garden Inn early and checked into Hyatt at Olive for my second stay there. As soon as I walked in, my depression was cured. The staff are so friendly, and I love the intimate boutique vibe. My room was so peaceful and quiet with a great view. Also, they let me check in early. A woman from housekeeping was near my room, so I asked her to stock me up on extra towels and water glasses, and she was so nice and accommodating. I love the convenience of the bagel shop downstairs for breakfast. My complaint is that they don't have smoked salmon and other more substantial options besides bagels. My only other complaint is that the valet parking price was $64, which is really steep. I wish they would lower this to something more reasonable. I love that you can run across the street to the Hyatt Regency and eat at their fantastic Grill and wonderful Italian restaurant. I had a great night's sleep. I wish I had spent both nights here, but next time I go to Seattle, I will only stay here.

    Oo a white noise machine!

I usually stay at the Hyatt Regency across the street but it worked better to stay at Hyatt at Olive 8 during my most recent trip. I usually love the Hyatt Regency because it has 3 Pelotons. While this location does NOT, it has an awesome lap pool, sauna, steam room (with all the eucalyptus smells!) and jacuzzi! I also appreciated that there was a white noise machine in the room - clutch. It seemed just a smidge more dated than the HR (from an interior design perspective and some of the furniture), but it was still very clean and comfortable. My only gripe is the digital key. It's weird that I'm able to request & check-in with a digital key but the room needs a key inserted to turn the lights on. It makes total sense from a sustainability perspective, but why even let get a digital key if I have to go back to the front desk and check-in anyways? Strange. All in all, great stay though!

Great place to stay. I really like the amenities here (the gym and pool). I only wish there was a breakfast buffet, but there's a great bagel shop in the lobby so that makes up for it. There's a microwave in the lobby as well which is nice if you want to heat up any leftovers. I prefer this gym over the Grand Hyatt's. I think this gym has more machines than the Grand Hyatt's gym. It's pretty busy in the mornings (7-8a on weekdays), but it clears out between 8a-9a. And even when it is busy I can usually find a space to stretch or a machine to do my workout on. They didn't have a squishy foam mat or bosu ball which I use occasionally and the yoga mats are quite thin so sometimes I have to double-up to protect my knees, but it was overall a really nice, spacious gym for a hotel with lots of machines (cardio, weight training, benches & dumbbells) I really like how this Hyatt has pool. And when I go on the weekday evenings it's not usually occupied. There's 3 lanes I think and they're all very shallow (4 ft or under), so you can't dive, but it's good to get your laps in. There's also a hot tub as well that's nice to relax in. They also have a really luxurious gym locker room with lots of complimentary amenities. There's a sauna and a steam room. The showers have stone-like walls, and have the standard shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but they also have shaving cream! The sink counter has mouthwash, lotion, shower caps, disposable combs, hair gel, hair spray, as well as hairdryers. They also have cotton swab, razors, tampons, and deodorants. Pretty much anything you need in a locker room they have. I was really impressed. The room we stayed in was nice and clean, and I didn't find it to be noisy during our week stay. We had daily house cleaning and they refilled the body lotion and the hand-washing bar soap every day, which I appreciated. We had a mini fridge in the room. There was no microwave, but there's one in the lobby. I also like how the Aquafina water bottles in the room are complimentary. The elevator can get really busy during high traffic times like weekday evenings or weekend mornings. Not to mention this hotel hosts a lot of conferences so sometimes there's just a lot of people coming in and out from the 3rd floor (where the conference rooms are). But outside of that time the elevator was timely. I also like the location of the hotel. It's right in the middle of downtown and it's right next to the mall where Din Tai Fung and Pike Place Chowder is (and also the movie theater is), so you don't have to walk too far for food. Overall I really like staying at this Hyatt. Even though it's not the Grand Hyatt, I really like the amenities (pool and gym) and would prefer staying here over the Grand Hyatt.

There's only a small area for parking in front of the hotel and it's also the spot for Valet. You'll likely have to post up in the travel lane to check in or drop off your car. The hotel has some unique amenities but I wasn't able to use them for such a short stay. The King corner room far exceeded my expectations. It's spacious and felt pretty luxurious. The star of the room is the soaking tub. It's deep and the water is hot. I especially liked that there's a separate shower. The workspace is nice and there are plenty of plugs for everything. The Nespresso comes stocked and is free to use. The mini bar, not so much, and it's pretty pricy. The bed. THE BED! If I could have brought it home with me I would have. It's lush and it smelled good. Like fresh dryer sheets good. I don't think I've ever said that about a hotel bed before. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did it was pleasant. I am definitely staying here again.

One stand out is the gentleman at Rosebay craft cocktails serving wine at the 3 o'clock hour. He was exceptional.

I had a great stay at The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown and would definitely consider staying here…read moreagain. I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The front desk had a room available for me a little earlier than normal check-in and had wonderful suggestions for a little snack around the hotel. The room is much more spacious than pictures can show. I really enjoyed the two separate seating areas. The window area settee was the perfect place for a snack and using my laptop to prepare for the next day. The closet has more than just two hangers, which I appreciated being able to hang the clothes that needed to be hung and steamed later. The bed was soft, but not overly so and the charging options on the nightstand helped me keep some of my electronics packed and neat. Being in Downtown Seattle, I really didn't feel like I needed a car. The Sound is situated in a great place to just walk where I needed to go. Less than five minutes away from Westlake where I could catch either the monorail or Link, was very convenient for me. I enjoy walking around to get familiar with the area I'm in and there was so much to see!!! I will be back to The Sound for my next Seattle adventure!

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years.
