I recently stayed at this property during a business trip to the Davis area. The hotel is clean and modern, and my room was very spacious and comfortable. The check-in experience was sort of odd, as I had to wait over 5 minutes for the desk clerk to arrive. (In general, this place felt pretty understaffed.) The staff I met were definitely helpful and friendly, though. The wifi was strong, and the complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown Davis from here. And, being located right on the freeway, the hotel was a bit loud. It was ok, but I'm not sure I'd seek it out again for a future trip

Middle of the road hotel in Davis. Stayed here for a couple of nights last week. Room was comfortable, with plenty of storage and other amenities. Downsides were road noise from being next to the I-80 freeway, and hotel noise from the barking dog next door! Parking was an extra $10 a night, and breakfast was provided (scrambled eggs, fruit, granola, oatmeal...). Will likely stay elsewhere next time I'm in town.

The fridge inside the room was not cleaned upon arrival

Good: dog friendly, location, and gym Bad: breakfast didn't have cheese or yogurt. Pretty bare-boned. The fridge inside of the room was disgusting and not cleaned. . See picture. And ... it would have been nice if the staff showed they like dogs.

Stayed the night here in Davis to run the Davis Turkey trot. I always enjoy Hyatt House locations. The rooms are huge with the living room/kitchen area. This room has a second room for the beds and bathroom so it's like a 2 apartment type of room. Located off of the freeway, parking is easy, staff are very friendly and they have a great breakfast. Since this is a college down im sure this place can get really busy, also lots of families probably stay here for soccer tournaments nearby too.

Is there street parking in front of this hotel or just lot parking?

Good afternoon, Alicia. We offer parking in our lot. We do not advise parking on the street, as signage states it will tow. Thank you for reaching out!

Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!

Yogurt and granola. All before the menu comes out with a custom made hot breakfast. My wife got avocado toast and I got an omelette. They cook your breakfast fresh every morning and you have a choice between their regular menu items or the special of the day. They also have a yogurt and juice bar. The server told us they operate out of a food truck. So the menu is limited. But what they make is really good! We ordered the lemonade, chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros divorciados, and the strawberry champagne sherbet. Service was very prompt! The actual menu in-person had a couple items that aren't on the sample menu including a couple more dessert options like fig ice cream. We really liked everything we tried! The portions were pretty good. If coming here for food I'd recommend getting here early since food trucks have limited capacity. You're welcome to stroll around the property both the flower farm and the inn side before or after your meal. The parking situation is a gravel lot. So it may not be the most handicap accessible place. We had a lot of fun stopping by Park Winters. They were setting up for a wedding so the inn side would have been closed for the event starting at 1pm. The check also came with a small map of the property for you to keep. This was very helpful in exploring the property. The only caveat is this is the countryside. Wear long pants or be prepared with insect repellent! Even at 10am in the summer my legs were bitten by mosquitoes. (Type O blood. Mosquito magnet here.) I'd like if they burned some citronella candles to help with mosquitoes. The rest of the dining venue was so thoughtfully designed including timed misters (like at theme parks) to help keep the area cool. Definitely check it out if you're curious or in the area.

They comped the meal, and we didn't ask for it; we only wanted to split the check, which was a policy that was never discussed, but their system could do it. So they decided to comp the check, given the many issues. Then the manager calls me after we leave, leaves a message, and says, very passively aggressive, "We comped your meal, but you did not leave the server a tip." Servers live off tips. But don't worry, we took care of her tip. Have a good day." Umm, excuse me? I was a server for over 7 years. First of all, I wouldn't expect a tip after the establishment that failed me by not ensuring they had adequate kitchen supplies to keep a Mother's Day up and running. Additionally, I would have added more staff to the day, which would of course be very busy. And lastly, how are we tipped when you comped the bill and walked away, and nobody had cash? We did not ask for the bill to be comped. So for future reference, dear John I don't recommend calling your customers and bullying them over voicemail. You're the problem, not us.

Because of that history, I never expected to be treated this way. We experienced a genuine family emergency that forced us to leave early and requested a refund for our unused Sunday and Monday nights. These were weekday nights not a weekend or holiday, and the hotel kept 100% of the charges for both nights despite us not being there. What made the situation even worse was the amount of time we had to spend going back and forth during an already stressful family emergency. The front desk staff repeatedly told us they understood and agreed a refund was appropriate, but the owner instructed them not to issue one. For several days, staff members seemed confused about the situation, while the owner/manager refused to respond to phone calls or text messages. We were left waiting, following up repeatedly, and receiving no direct communication from the person making the decision. I understand businesses have cancellation policies, but there should also be room for compassion and reasonable discretion, especially for LOYAL, repeat guests who have spent thousands of dollars over the years and have personally referred many others to stay here. Unfortunately, this experience erased years of goodwill. Customer service is tested when something unexpected happens, and this hotel failed that test. We will NEVER stay here again, and after this experience, I can no longer recommend it to friends, family, or clients. What a HUGE disappointment Cottage Grove. Not the way you treat your loyal customers.
