This is a hotel to service the nearby airport. If you just need a place to stay before/after a flight, this will take care of you. Anything more- don't have expectations. Location- fantastic! Easy access from main roads, plenty of parking even late at night, I can see why it's popular. Yes you do have to pay for parking. Check in- easy! They went through the hotel map and allowed us to pick a good option for our needs. We felt very welcomed and informed. However, when I noticed the business lounge door lock was broken and I couldn't get in- the front desk person just didn't respond. Room- mix! The kitchen area was spotless and I was VERY IMPRESSED with the included tools, silverware, dishware, cleaning supplies, and how clean everything was. If you did want to do an extended stay to cook, you are set. But the rest of the room is so bizarrely laid out. You have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom, there's no solid door between the two so hope you're close with everyone and have an eye mask for the light! The air vents go directly on top of the bed so you may need more bedding with the AC going. The water flow varied- sometimes great, sometimes not. The only long mirror is in the bathroom- without much room to step back. I've never been so disappointed in a breakfast before. The bread/pastry items were all badly stale, the basic breakfast items went low and took forever to be replaced. Nothing had any seasoning on it. The layout of where plates/plasticware are made no sense. Even the juice was bad. There's one small trash bin that is difficult to put stuff in. Absolutely nothing good to say. We had a fine stay for a place near where we wanted to be at a decent price. Bring your own food and an extra blanket and plan your toilet visits and you'll be fine. If you're here for the airport, this is a good choice. read more

When I arrived, there was a line of three guests to check in, but no one at the reception. After about fifteen minutes, I opted to get dinner instead of waiting longer. When I came back, there was finally someone at reception to check in. Despite the initial inconvenience, I had a pleasant stay here. I like the Hyatt House hotels since it is like a little apartment, with a kitchenette, desk space, and small seating area. The bathroom and closet space were quite large for a hotel. The bathroom fixtures and faucets were on the older side as evidenced by the loose handles, but they were functional. The hotel location is in the outskirts of Morristown, so it is pretty quiet. However, it is still convenient enough that you can get to downtown in about five minutes. Breakfast is included in the stay, but it is pretty much the same things everyday and not great. The oatmeal is watery, the eggs are rubbery, and the fruit cocktail is from canned (1 star off). Aside from the breakfast, I would recommend this hotel if you are in the area. read more

Minor maintenance issues ( peeling caulk or soap scummed stained caulk at seams in shower doors) figuring out how to control the thermostat was fun. They have those motion sensor things I keep turning it off. Make sure the little fan is spinning lol. Getting in and out of the place is hard as you can only go one direction and then have to make a u-turn to come back half mile away. Other than that great location. It's so upsetting when hotels (which are in the service industry) have such bad customer service. I stayed here with my family during my wedding weekend and my fiancé had sent over some mochi (ice cream), flowers, and croissants the night before our wedding day. When my sister went to pick up the items on my wedding day, the mochi was missing (it was in a lunch box with ice packs). It was NOWHERE to be found. And the front desk said they hadn't seen anything like that. Then, my fiancé came later that day and talked to the woman who he had given everything to and then she goes "ohhh that's what's in the office. I was wondering what that was". Are you kidding me?! No apology or anything. She gave him the lunch box with the melted mochi back and didn't say anything. I sent an email to customer service, they told me I should hear back a couple days later but here we are almost 2 months later and have not heard anything. Not even an apology! read more

I accidentally booked this hotel again thinking it was a different Hyatt. Terrible experience. Constant road noise from a thin window, no room service, ignored an AC service request (it was freezing). Empty conditioner, dirty bathroom, and I could hear someone yelling at night. Also, they charge $5 for a bottle of water, so I tried the tap and it tasted like a glass of moss. Don't think anyone ever cleans the tap. Was so disgusting. Avoid this place like the plague. I am not usually a person to write reviews, but my family and I stayed in this hotel last year and again this year and there is a steep decline in our experience. This hotel was dirty and poorly managed. We got two rooms, and only one was ready when we arrived at the designated check in time. This is super inconvenient for anyone, but we were also traveling with small children and the delay created issues with our plans. It was hours later that the second room was ready, giving half of our family no place to land. When we checked into the one room that was ready with our hands full of bags and with a small child with us, we asked if they had luggage carts available and neither staff member offered to help us get one, she just pointed to a hallway and said "over there." The main elevator was broken, so it took 10-15 minutes to get from the lobby to the room each trip. Not the fault of the staff but definitely an inconvenience since we were the farthest room off the one working elevator. Everyone in our family noticed that the hallways smelled horrible, there were literally bags of trash in the halls at multiple points (not while housekeeping was working.) I found a dirty sock in my room, and my family member found old food in her bed behind the mattress. One of our family members checked out a day early, but we kept our room a second night. On that day our keys were disabled randomly and housekeeping entered our room 3 times despite a do not disturb sign and me calling down to the desk to remind them we were not checking out for another night. The interruptions woke up our kids from their naps and were very intrusive. Once is an accident that is forgivable but this happened three times. You also now need to pay for parking which was not true a year ago and isn't at all common for a suburban hotel. We will definitely not stay here again even though we travel to the area annually. read more

I recently had my wedding this past weekend, and had about 50 rooms booked through our block for guests. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience with Hyatt House, and I would not recommend booking them if you have a large block size (or at all for that matter). The time leading up to our stay had been good, we worked with Molly who coordinated rooms, was very responsive, and helped with transportation. Although working with Molly was wonderful--she was not there working during our stay. Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk watched us struggle to carry everything across the building as the main elevator wasn't working. After we brought up all of our stuff, the manager apologized and offered to help us--but at that point we had already brought everything in. The rooms were clean, and well kept. But several rooms did not get hot water, which of course was a huge problem. The biggest problem is guests were arriving for a 3pm check-in time for my 6:30pm wedding and rooms were not ready. Guests did not get into their rooms until at least 5pm (two hours after check in time). What made matters worse, is my guests witnessed the front desk staff arguing around 3:30pm when one came in with an iced coffee (her shift was apparently at 3pm) and she said well I'm only a half hour late and proceeded to fight with eachother. Something small, which of course bugged me--is when I was holding my bridal dress waiting for the elevator bringing my wedding items to the room, a cleaning attendant goes I'm cutting you, jumps on the elevator and closes it. Although we got good rates for our rooms, they were clean, and Molly was easy to work with. Save yourself the headache and embarrassment and book somewhere else. read more

I'm surprised there are so many bad reviews on here. I had a great experience at Hyatt. I got in pretty late Sunday night and they made my check in process very speedy so I could get right to bed. There was a hot breakfast in the morning. Someone on hand was making omelets. Then they had eggs, potatoes, bacon, oatmeal, fruit, assorted pastries and cereal. A big selection. My omelet was tasty. The room itself was nice, big and clean. I love the apartment style room. It was a short stay so I didn't get to check out any of the other facilities. There was a Starbucks only a few minutes away which is a win in my book. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I stayed at morristown nj hyatt house. The staff was great, but the hotel is bad. They show rooms with a bathtub. There are no tubs in rooms. They say on the website that they have a shuttle service. FALSE. You're there without a car you are stuck. Carpet needs to be cleaned, doors don't shut properly, water pressure is bad, can't hardly rinse your hair. Will never stay again. read more

It looks great, but I had pests and instincts in my room, when I reported it to reception they told next time they will come to spray it. They don't give free water at all. The place is located in the middle of nowhere surrounded by freeway so you can not walk to any grocery or pharmacy or atm, you have to take Uber whenever you have to go anywhere. Rooms are great, clean, spacious, I felt like I am staying in one bedroom apartment. Breakfast is the same every day. I stayed 10 days and it was pretty annoying. Elevator which where closer to my room didn't work, so the receptionist offered me to take stairs. I was on the 3rd floor. read more

Great rooms, location and staff but poor management. Stayed here for a week for work the rooms are equal to a one bedroom apartment very spacious with kitchen, living room and separate bedroom and bath. Front desk was very helpful and efficient in any requests the driver tony was on point and shuttled us around town when slots were available. The H Bar restaurant had barely anything to offer on a Sunday night and that continued throughout the week so we stopped eating at the bar. First night now korean tacos the second night no chicken for quesadillas or salads by the third night there were no flatbread pizzas either everything was 86. It seems management does not do inventory or stay on top of things for ordering when they know there are tons of business travelers. I feel bad for the night time bartenders who come to work and have a great attitude but have no food to sell. Breakfast was good each day and made to order omelets were the highlight. read more

Really nice hotel with terrific suite like rooms. I was really kind of impressed with this hotel after staying here a few nights while competing in a Warrior Dash close by last year. Modern rooms with a kichen area, and everything seems pretty new and well maintained. Kitchen is the real deal - sink, fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, utensils, etc. Seperate bedroom and living room area. King bed was super comfortable and the AC worked great. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Couch in living area with it's own flat screen tv. Free wifi throughout. Parking lot is a bit on small side but had no problem getting a spot each evening. Terrific breakfast each morning with more than enough options. Pool and small fitness center. 24 hour market to buy snacks and drinks. Main street area with dining, bars, and historic sites are a few minutes drive away. It's kind of spoiling to stay here and we didn't really want to leave. This is my first time staying at a Hyatt House and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very nice with a big comfy bed and nice pillows. The living area was also very comfy too. Made it very east to relax at night. The breakfast was great. I loved getting a made to order omelet each morning. The evening reception was nice too. I did have two minor issues. The coffee was really bad and there is no HDMI inputs on the TVs. Other than that, I really enjoyed my two week stay. read more

4 starts for room. 2 stars for service. The room was great and looked brand new! It had a living room, bedroom, and great kitchen (bigger than my kitchen at home) with a dishwasher, oven, a fridge. The bathroom was also very nice and had a great shower; I just wish that there had been a door separating the sink area from the bedroom area. The TVs looked pretty old and the screen wasn't great. Also, they only give you shampoo, conditioner, and soap, but no lotion. The housekeeping staff was pretty rude. One morning fairly early (around 8:30am) they came by our room for housekeeping service, and I asked them to come back later because I was busy right then and they told me no.... I thought that was a bit weird, so I told the front desk and they said that was unacceptable, so somebody came by later to clean which was nice. Our last day, I requested a late check out at 1:30, and housekeeping came by twice that morning to see if I was gone yet. I couldn't believe it. The same lady, too. Then I got a phone call from the front desk at 12:30 telling me that check-out was at 12! I told her that I had requested a late check-out and would be checking out at 1:30 and she was just like "hmm ok". She was not very friendly. Then when I checked out, I asked her to keep my luggage in the office for awhile since I would be waiting in the lobby for a few hours, and she looked reluctant to do that. I loved the concept and the room layout, but there were too many customer service issues to ignore. I was given the key to an occupied room -- embarrassing for both me and the occupant. When this has happened in other hotels, they have offered some sort of perk in apology. Our room lock had an intermittent problem. We had someone come to the room to mess with it several times, but they never really fixed it. The staff was friendly and helpful, just overwhelmed and under-empowered. HORRIBLE! My fiancé and I were in the area because he was working. We stayed at the Hyatt house and at first glance it was nice. We got back to the room around 2am and went to sleep. 10 minutes later I felt something crawling on me and grabbed it and turned on the light. COCKROACH!!!!! We packed our stuff and went right to the front desk. It was only the night supervisor and he gave us the hotel managers business card. My bf and I have stayed here three times (since July 2012)...Each time we've come back we've noted that the place gets progressively better... +Price: Great deal for the area and for the quality of the room/suite you get. +Rooms: Awesome. They are all modern apartment styled with all amenities you could want including a dishwasher and TVs in all rooms. The last time we stayed we were upgraded to a two-bedroom and were very impressed with the size and comfortably of the suite. We secretly wished it were our permanent residence. +Grounds: Are well kept. While we've never used the pool during any of our stays we have walked around and noted how clean everything is. +Complimentary Breakfast: You get so much for free. While it isn't exactly five star cuisine it is definitely tasty and will leave you full. Since it is buffet style, you can go back and reload your plate until you are stuffed (although I wouldn't suggest this). +Staff: Great staff. Super friendly and helpful. Even as the kitchen staff clean and refill the buffet they speak to you and ask if you need anything. Overall, this place is a yay! Marketed like a hotel Managed and run like a hostel Kids running up and down the hallways screaming and yelling at all hours. Adults having multi-room parties. Now I know why the hotel offers complimentary ear plugs. Even when we called the front desk to let them know about the noise they didn't do anything about it. We had to stick our heads into the hallway and tell people to be quiet and dare I say considerate. Adequate accommodations...housekeeping is actually good. My sister got married, and I performed the ceremony. That sentence will always be weird to read, so why not throw it out on the internet for all to see. This hotel was about a half mile from the place where we had the wedding/reception, so it made sense no matter what to stay here. But after spending 3 nights here with my family from out of town for the festivities, I can easily say anyone staying near here for any reason should definitely consider the hotel. We had a large group, and they were generally able to keep us near each other. The rooms are spacious with basically fully functioning kitchens. Breakfast each morning was solid with tons of options. But out of everything, the staff was most impressive. We are not always an easy group to deal with, especially when you've got about 30 of us in one hotel. They were friendly, they accommodated us as much as possible, and when they couldn't, they were nice and came up with alternatives. There aren't really that many reasons why you would stay in a hotel near my little neck of Jersey, but if you did, this should be your hotel. read more

I found this place on Priceline. I thought it was phenomenal! Very clean and spacious, helpful and friendly staff. My room was essentially a furnished apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, living room with large TV, and bedroom (with another large TV). It was huge! Quality of everything was superb. When we bought a bottle of wine down the street, I was about to buy a corkscrew when I called the front desk at the Hyatt. She informed me that, naturally, my fully equipped kitchen had its own corkscrew and wine glasses (which it did!) I'd stay there in a second next time I'm in the neighborhood! read more

For this quant little town, I'm guessing this hotel gets alot of business during wedding and event season. It's located nicely off a highway and only about 2 mi from downtown. The hotel was good. It was nice, that it was a suite and if I stayed longer, it might have come in handy. Seemed like a decent sized pool and breakfast in the AM. In the room I had, the living room TV was stuck on channel CNBC and could only be powered on manually so that was a bit disappointing. At least, this had service compared to the hotel I was at in Vegas, a few nights prior. But everything else for the hotel room was what you'd expect for a Hyatt house; clean with amenities. Bed was a bit too soft and you could feel some of the springs so it wasn't the best night's rest. My hopes other Hyatt House's are a bit more updated so I'd have a better night's rest but if I had to, I would stay at one again. Room/hotel: 4. My biggest complaint/concern about the hotel was my check in experience. And it obviously soured my entire experience where if I had to, I would NOT stay at the Hyatt House in Morristown again. I get into the room and you'd think I'd be excited to relax, shower, get some food, whatever, but my first reaction was, this is weird and my stomach turned thinking something was wrong. The room was spotless, which is fine but my bf has been here since Tuesday. I do a search of the room and there is nothing. Did he have to bring his stuff to the country club? Most likely not, but pinged him to ask but obviously wedding parties are generally pretty busy the day of so I didn't expect an answer right away. I thought what are the chances this is the wrong room. I also thought, if I go shower and this is the wrong room, random people will come and startle me. I also thought, if i just go get food, what if someone sees my stuff and then it disappears. Now, what do I do. So I just watch TV, staring at the door and staring my phone. The bf texts and it's the wrong room. Based in my check in experience and a tad bit of panic I had, I wouldn't stay again. I kind of got an apology but not really. Have been to this hotel 4 weeks so far this year. Every room I've had has been of good quality and very comfortable. Morning breakfast is just 'ok' and I expect a little better than that, which is why this is 4/5 stars (Rubbery pancakes, undercooked waffles,and those are the treats). Front desk staff was always friendly (although sometimes hidden) and helpful. Not part of the review but to note: This hotel is just barely in morristown, I believe half of it is actually in hanover. I've had family stay here when they visit, and knew the rooms to be spacious and typically clean. Good reasons to choose them for our wedding room block. Dealing with them, was a nightmare. Many of my guests who had made reservations had to call multiple times to verify and be placed in our room block. My own reservation required 4 phone calls to be placed, as the bride I had more pressing matters to be concerned with. With the many times I had called in, the staff was unable to find my room block which led to a phone call to the General Manager. The sales manager got back to me instead and despite her assistance, there were still problems. Many of my guests were not given their welcome bag at check in, nor was one placed in their room. They had to be asked for. One of my guests was placed in a room where someone had been smoking previously, and was told the only thing they could do was spritz the room with air freshener. Another guest of mine staying in a 2 bedroom went without having housekeeping tidy up one of the bedrooms. The day of my wedding, we were arranged to have 2 shuttles run from the hotel to reception at 2 different time slots. The front desk had given my guests bad information which resulted in multiple panicked phone calls to verify what was actually going on. read more
