2 stars for ambiance. Minus 3 for everything else. As we entered and checked in, there were screaming children at the bar. At the elevators, we could still hear them. We wanted to sit in the lobby, but there was trash at the fireplace. The lobby was unclean ie the couch, table, fireplace area. There was no coffee or cream in our room. It took 40 minutes for them to come up. They brought cream and sugar and no coffee. We called the front desk twice to rectify this issue. There was a phone in the room that did not work and no phone cord, which is a huge safety issue. There was yelling and slamming doors at 6am outside of our room in the hallway. There was also no body soap in the shower, when we showered this morning. We will not be returning, as this was another disappointing stay. read more

Wonderful Bridal Shower The Archer Hotel was the perfect spot for my daughter's bridal shower. We had the luxury of having the AKB restaurant and bar area to ourselves. The food was excellent! The service was attentive but needed to be more accessible to the guests with their orders, and serving water. Plus telling guests about coffee, desserts, and cappuccino (which was forgotten). I still gave them five star for their efforts. But wanted to mention these things for the next party. All in all people loved the Archer read more

Really enjoyed our stay at the Archer Hotel Florham Park over the holidays! We've finally found a nicer hotel nearish to our families. It's a newer hotel located in a business park, not far from the highway. The lobby is industrial chic, and it was decorated festively for the holidays. Staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We really appreciated the free parking and their well stocked NOSH/amenities section (think water, sodas, milk, protein drinks, salty snacks, sweet snacks, toiletries...all at reasonable prices). Our room and bed were comfortable! The bathroom was unusually large. Would have preferred a standup shower but the bathtub was fine and helpful for anyone with kids - had a rubber ducky! While there, we enjoyed daily use of their nicely maintained gym/fitness center. They have 3 or 4 treadmills, 1 Peloton bike, a few other machines, free weights, mats, and some TRX equipment, as well as towels and water. Thanks for a comfortable and peaceful stay. We'll likely be back on our next NJ visit. read more

Checking in, I was the only one standing there. One "customer service" person was chit-chatting with someone, the other was talking to another employee. The chit-chatting one moved away to the next desk, completely ignoring me. Finally, the person she was talking to said that she should help me. The person apologized - not the employee. So I was finally acknowledged after about 5 minutes. Checked in, and headed to my room. Went into the bathroom to wash my hands, and saw a used Q-tip under the vanity. Ugh. Went to the window to open the drapes, and discovered I couldn't even look out the window. Wondering why the window was blocked, I heard something like a motorcycle revving. Turns out there are generators outside that they didn't want us to see. TV seemed okay, until it started going off every few minutes. So I just decided to get some ice and try to relax. The TV was an issue, as was the noise. Went to work the next morning and returned to find the room cleaned, but they didn't bother replacing the tiny bar of soap. In a hotel that is over $1,000 for 3 nights, I shouldn't have to go down to get soap! TV was still an issue so they sent up an "engineer". Rebooted and said it might not have worked. It didn't! Gave up on that. Next day spent 13 hours at work, got back to my room after 8pm, and they didn't even bother emptying the water out of the ice bucket from the night before! The service at this hotel was worse than some of the cheap motels we have stayed in over the years. I will let my company know to cut ties with them, so we can stay at a better hotel that actually provides appropriate service. read more

Nice hotel in a quiet and convenient location. They allow dogs on property, weekend breakfast buffet for $20, and free coffee in the mornings. I also appreciate a large lobby and bar for gathering as well as water bottle filler on the first floor. Rooms come with 2 bathrobes, 2 sets of slippers. Our double king room had a nice sized bathroom with 2 sinks. Bath products smell great! While there I didn't have time to check out the gym or pool. Staff was friendly and each room has some caramel treats and 2 small Fiji water bottles. read more

The hotel side is a five star. The food is a one star. The restaurant was a disaster! 45 minute wait for food that was not cooked. Server tried hard and was clearly frustrated by the backup in the kitchen so not his fault. So sad for him so he was tipped well. Will stay there again but not eating at the restaurant again. read more

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, the privacy of the rooms supreme. I've worked in hotels for ten years, my only complaint is the balconies. They're not functional. They have sharp floors that are grated. We stayed while it rained and made sure we were on the 3rd floor for coverage, but it doesn't matter. The rain comes through, we just wanted to sit and have coffee. There's a light you cannot turn off, and the heating/cooling system is on every balcony so even if you turn tryouts off you hear everyone else's. You might as well have no balcony. But it's still worth the visit. Such a great hotel but the balcony's are awful. And no privacy, can see the people above you and below you. It's honestly just for show. Other than that I'd stay again and not get a balcony room. I think it's to deter smoking but it's not even cozy, it's sharp, and not private. Great view but there was a wedding so saw everyone on the balconies and can hear and see everyone, they need to be designed to be functional not for show. read more

I enjoyed a one-night stay for a business trip. Check-in was simple and I immediately ordered wings at the cafe. The buffalo wings were really good and the portion size was ample. My room was cozy and I enjoyed the robe and slippers! The books on the nightstand were such a nice touch. Room service is available with no extra fee and the coffee bar was excellent! The cafe was busy on Thursday evening yet, the service remained great. Unfortunately, I missed breakfast on Friday morning but my co-workers enjoyed it. Review of Archer Hotel Florham Park Reviewed today The Archer Hotel is off the beaten track unless you are specifically heading for this locale. While there are office parks in the area serving as home to corporations like BASF, training facilities for the New York Jets, the Anderson Cancer Center and Fairleigh Dickenson University, one would not normally frequent this bedroom community. The nearest mall is located in Short Hills about ten miles away. However, due to corporate presence in the area the Archer has all of the amenities that one would expect from a property in the NYC area. The rooms are quite large and the beds, linens, and extras like slippers, soaps & shampoos, etc. are top drawer. There is plenty of room and hangers in the closet and drawer space abounds. The sitting and makeup areas are comfortable. We were at this hotel as a result of being invited to a destination wedding and spent time in the bar/lounge off of the lobby. The bar was fully stocked and the waitstaff/bar tenders were very knowledgeable about the various wines and whiskeys that they carried. The cocktails were made with a decent pour and were accompanied with some munchies. While the hotel does serve breakfast and will provide burgers and other bar food, the property does not do lunch and to my knowledge dinner unless there is a function as they do have meeting rooms and a ballroom. The breakfast food was set out in steam trays. However, when we tried the buffet, we found the food somewhat cold and a little dried out, especially the eggs and home fries. The bagels were not New York style bagels, but light and fluffy like you would get in your local supermarket. Otherwise, there were many choices. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable and provided information regarding other dining possibilities in the area. There was a diner about 4 miles distant. I would not recommend it as it did not live up to "Jersey Diner" standards. If you have business opportunities or are invited to a function in the area, I would definitely recommend the Archer. It's easily accessible by taxi from the Jersey Transit's Convent Station, about 15 minutes away. read more

I enjoyed my stay at the Archer. The hotel is very modern, and the staff is very nice. They have a great bar and great breakfast options. The room I stayed in was comfortable and pleasantly beautiful. It had a beautiful chandelier in the entry way. The bathroom was large and filled with nice fluffy towels and great body wash, shampoo, and condition in addition to other little things you would need. I usually cannot get a good night sleep in hotel rooms because I find the bed uncomfortable, but thankfully the bed at the Archer was super comfortable and I had a great night of sleep. We really enjoyed our one night stay for a wedding in May 2022. Front desk staff was pleasant and efficient and were able to check us in early. The hotel has a great esthetic and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with lots of nice touches like books at the bedside and complimentary salted caramels and water. We enjoyed our 2 night stay here for a wedding, as the hotel and grounds are stylish, well kept and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet has an excellent selection of food, with free coffee and tea available in the mornings daily. On the first floor of the hotel there is a bar and restaurant area and a 24-7 snack and drink section. There's a good amount of seats in the lobby. Our room was on the first floor and it was clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice with a rain shower head. There are complimentary water bottles in the room on check in and there is also a nespresso with tea and coffee available, two pairs of slippers, and they gave a nice candy/snack on each night. For those with smell sensitivities/allergies, the soap bar is a strong smell. All together it's a very nice boutique hotel to stay in the area with plenty of rooms and parking available. read more

Nothing particularly special from the outside, but they do a nice job of creating a funky, boutique style hotel experience out here in the suburbs of New Jersey. Terrific front desk staff and responsive service. Reasonably priced rooms. There was a wedding in the hotel the weekend I stayed, so the lobby bar was a buzz on Saturday evening. Public spaces like the halls could probably have used some more housekeeping attention, I'll write that off to a full hotel for the wedding and what is probably difficulty finding people to work. read more

What should have been a great stay at this hotel was not - mainly due to their lack of attention to detail. At first, we were impressed with our room until we realized the drawbacks. The bed is so high I had a hard time getting in and out of it. The location of the desk with the TV over it made it difficult to sit there working on the computer - you would get a neck ache trying to watch the TV. It was a nice touch to have complimentary bottled water, but why not put them in the refrigerator so that they would be cold? The Nespresso coffee maker was a delightful surprise until we went to use it. The coffee cup was not large enough to accommodate what the coffee maker put out so it spilled over when we moved the cup. The bathroom looked so inviting. The shower was extremely large. The rain shower was just okay - not very forceful. My husband was the first to use the shower only to realize that of the 3 dispensers (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) bolted to the wall, only the body wash worked. We called down to the front desk and someone came while we were out of the room. However, they only fixed the shampoo; not the conditioner, and left a bottle of cleaning solution on the sink countertop. My husband went down to the front desk with the bottle of cleaning solution in his hand and requested that someone come and fix the conditioner dispenser. Quite frankly, even with the reduced wedding price of $179.00 plus taxes a night, we were not impressed with this hotel. read more

Beautiful boutique hotel with extremely comfortable beds and spacious rooms with gorgeous bathrooms. Well worth the value. The pool was very nice as well as the fitness center. The only thing was the safe didn't work well and the room walls were quite thin. We had noisy neighbors next door as well as above us. I would definitely come back and stay again. This hotel seems like the four seasons compared to the wyndham across the street. Clean, modern, and cool setup. The check in process was easy and there wasn't a line at checkin. The staff are very friendly as well. You need to use your room key for the elevator which was a lot more complicated than I thought. I ended up figuring it out but I am glad the extra security is in place. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom is bigger than I thought too. The desk is in front of the tv so not sure you can do work and watch tv unless you want to lose your eye sight. The bed was comfy and it was quiet so no complaints here. It also has a small gym with only 3 treadmills and 2 that work. The gym isn't as big as other hotel gyms but it does the job. I recommend staying here over the wyndham across the street. It has a more luxurious feel to it. You won't regret it! read more

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Archer, as it was a great hotel room in a safe location. You could tell the attention to detail was there- they had some free water in the room, candy for the first 2 nights of my stay, and the little robes and bath shoes were amazing. Check in staff was very kind and let me check in early, which was much appreciated. I loved the onsite bar and restaurant, as they had a pretty good burger and the wait staff was usually quite kind. It seems popular amongst locals as well as most seats were always taken. I had one of the suite style rooms with a balcony and pretty decent kitchen, mini fridge and microwave and all. You could order room service which was an interesting touch. The bedroom was great, dark shades, a comfy bed, and the AC blasted well. The bathroom was large and had large shampoo/conditioner bottles. Overall loved my stay! read more

Rooms are good size and comfortable but quality is a little lacking (curtains don't operate smoothly, refrigerator drawer difficult to close, sink drain loose/disconnect, metal exposed on chair seat, carpet wrinkled). The restaurant and bar make up for anything lacking. And the service was excellent! I wish it was located in a more vibrant area but there certainly were plenty of guests (just nowhere to walk outside). Overall, a great hotel! read more

I recently stayed at this hotel. The staff and the service of the employees at the hotel were wonderful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the management. Namely, the hotel Director of Guest Services, Victoria Caravella. Prior to arrival, I was sent a text message from the hotel welcoming me and asking if I had any special needs or requests. I replied to this message that I would be bringing my dog and that he was a registered service animal. I suffer from anxiety (it is unfortunate that I have to share that with the world, but given the treatment by Ms. Caravella I feel compelled). Having my dog with me often forces me to get out of bed when I am having a moment that I am immobile, hence the service paperwork. I received confirmation on that message from the hotel. Upon checkout and return to my I home, I realized that the hotel had billed me a pet fee. This is actually waived for those with registration under the Americans with Disabilities Act. When I contacted the hotel, I was redirected to Ms. Caravella. I relayed that I had provided information prior to check in and that I request to have the charge removed. She apologized and asked that I send through my paperwork, which I did. She then replied to that that my card would not suffice, that she needed a signed doctor note. I replied with the paperwork I received at the time I received my card (which does not expire btw). Ms. Caravella the replied that signed doctor's paperwork was only good for 1 year and that the date on mine expired in July (mind you my card does not expire...just this signed note) and that "she could not accept it". "She could not accept it."...let's talk about that. What can you not accept? Waiving an arbitrary profit item of $150 for someone with a disability? Because their doctor's note is out of date. In the time of COVID, where I have relocated to a new city and not needed to travel. I apologize that I have not had the time to visit a psychologist and re-up my travel paperwork...you do realize people have not been traveling? There is a level of compassion that we should all have for each other as human beings. I will remember the lack of compassion shown to me by this establishment. In a sea of Marriott's in the middle of nowhere this botique hotel is a breath of fresh air. Great service - I had just flown in on a red-eye from California and they let me check into my room right away. Room quality - this hotel is clearly new and designed very well. It has a modern feel and is extremely spacious. I loved the clean linens and giant rain shower in the bathroom. I honestly wish my room and bathroom at home looked like this. Extra touches - the local chocolates, the fiji water, and the Intelligentsia coffee downstairs pleasantly surprised me. There is a little bit of construction going on, but I had a great experience overall and will be back! read more

We booked a four night stay at the Archer Hotel a few months ago. Great prepaid rate made it a no brainer. From check-in to check-out, we loved everything about our stay. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and personable. We were in a classic king room. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of under counter storage and two drawers, which isn't common in my experience. The bed was so comfortable as was the temperature on the room. Loved the daily note and treat--nice touch! As were the books on the nightstand. We ate breakfast 2 of our 4 mornings. Excellent selection of pastries, hot breakfast as well as fruit, cheese, cold cuts and olives. Well worth $10. We considered dinner Christmas night with local family, but the restaurant and bar were closed that night. Plenty of nearby options--glad some hotel staff had the holiday off. The whole vibe of the hotel exudes upscale hospitality and comfort that is set apart from other hotel chains. More like a boutique hotel experience. Well done, Archer. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and from the first night I complained of a porta potty smell in the bathroom. They told me that they would send up maintenance to take care of the problem. The second day I called again, saying that the smell was getting worse and they offered to bring up air fresheners (which was a bottle of cleaner.....more chemicals to top off the toxic fumes that I was already breathing in) and told me they could not switch rooms. Day 3 the smell continue to worsen, and they offered to again send maintenance up and bring me air fresheners, and stated that they cannot change rooms and that nobody else complained of this issue. The smell is beyond intolerable. The whole hotel has a foul smell, but my room is literally like being stuck in a porta potty and trying to sleep in it. This is the worst hotel experience of my life and I'm in hotels weekly! read more

This is a very new hotel and we stayed here because we were in town for a wedding. If you're not from around here let me just say this is a very cute, small town. There's a ton of greenery and great restaurants, especially if you're looking for Italian food. You could tell the hotel was really new because some of the rooms had fresh towels that have never been used, and there were still some wood shavings on the borders. This didn't bother us at all because it was very minimal and our experience was great. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are enormous. Very large mirrors everywhere and excellent lighting. There is an indoor gym, restaurant, bar, complementary tea and coffee, as well as a cute little shop near the front desk to pick up any necessities. Very friendly staff and huge parking lot. The decor was beautiful, fireplaces and rustic games everywhere. There's a lot of seating in the lobby, this is a beautiful place! read more

The manager of the hotel, Nate, went far "above and beyond the call of duty" to make our stay wonderful. He solved a very tricky room problem on a weekend when the hotel was sold out with 2 weddings. He could not have been more professional and courteous. We were completely impressed. The hotel is very nice. We had a suite with a kitchen and sitting room. Very well appointed. My only "complaint" is that there is no secure WiFi. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Nice hotel nice room but they just refuse to be safe in the middle of a plague. No masks on housekeepers in your room and in the hallways. No masks in an indoor gym. No masks in the bar area. No masks on the staff in the breakfast/coffee area. No masks on front desk staff. No mask requirements for guests. The BS they feed you regarding "we are following cdc guidelines" is pure crap. They are parachuting through loopholes in the cdc guidelines to make as much money as possible and have the least amount of responsibility as possible. 90% of staff and guests maskless+no checking vaccine cards =no safety in the hotel. #archerhotelfail #shameonyou read more
