I booked a 3 night stay in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite at The Hyatt House in Pleasanton. Here's what I really liked about this hotel: - spacious, great layout, nicely decorated room - full kitchen including utensils, pots and pans etc - lots of towels in each bathroom - good lighting in the rooms (several lighting options from dim to bright) - great location - lots of free parking - free internet - free breakfast everyday with a great selection of items I had a great stay here. The only things I'd say to keep in mind are: - no elevator so if you're on the 3rd story, you'll be getting some excersize - $250 deposit

Hyatt house Pleasanton is overall a pretty solid place to stay if you're having to stay for an extended period. The rooms aren't fancy, but they're clean and functional with small apartment style set ups and they're head over heels nicer than your typical Extended Stay hotel. Each suite has a fully functioning kitchen that's stocked with cooking essentials including a cutting board, knives, a handful of pots and pans, silverware, plates and bowls. They're also pet friendly if you're staying with your furry family members, although the designated pet area is shoved in the back corner of the property. We found that taking our pup for walks along a habit drive was the most effective and easiest. Hot breakfast (including made to order Omelets) is served until 9am each morning and they rotate out the food options day to day. It seems as though eggs, sausage or bacon, fried potatoes and French toast or biscuits and gravy are regular occurring breakfast options. They also serve fresh fruit and a number of dry goods so there's tons of variety. The main con for me here is that the three story facility doesn't have elevators and somehow we can never secure a bottom floor room. This is inconvenient for potting our dog since we have to carry his 18lbs down the flights of stairs, but also not fun if you're traveling with a lot of stuff for shorter periods. If you're staying for an extended period, this won't be as much of an issue since you're only loading up once. Also, if you're in better shape than me (I'm 7 months pregnant) then you probably won't mind. Overall Hyatt house is a solid option in Pleasanton for short and long term stays but is geared towards the latter.

I had quite a Pleasant stay in the Hyatt House here in Pleasanton (see what I did there?) The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helped me with whatever I needed for my stay. I also noticed the housekeeping staff was very well organized and able to clean all of these rooms quite quickly while I was waiting for my friend to pick me up from the city. Curtis and the brunette in the front deserve a quick shoutout. The room was a two-bedroom suite and both beds were incredibly comfortable. I slept like a baby and after working 9 days in a row my sleep/comfort meter went way up in such a short 8 hours. I enjoyed the shower and the water pressure greatly. One of the showers did not have water too hot so I just used the other shower which was perfect. I was in building 9 and was super happy that all of the buildings are near the main hotel reception. There isn't an elevator but only 3 floors so it's not that bad of a climb. The room did have a large living room and kitchen with stove, microbe, and full size fridge with utensils and plates for dining. The breakfast was always restocked and the staff appeared to be friendly from what I can tell with limited interaction. I wish the hotel would have had a water station available throughout the day as I ran out of water and had to pay for another bottle at the merchandise/pantry by the front desk. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are staying in either Dublin or the Pleasanton area.

roach my child killed in the kitchen

roaches roaches roaches. 2/3 rooms we have stayed at here have had roaches. After the first sighting we were relocated ACROSS the hotel to avoid another sighting but low and behold we not only found another one but it was crawling on my chest as I was trying to sleep with my two children next to me. The staff have been very kind and helpful but roaches are unacceptable, I should not have to worry about my family's health and possibly bringing home unwanted guests during what is supposed to be a stress free time. Was also told another guest in our old building had to be moved for the same reason.

First time staying here. Was welcomed right away from the hotel receptionist. Very friendly and welcoming. Check in really fast. Pros- Such a big room! Sad I didn't have more time to spend there. Pros-spacious room, full size refrigerator, a big desk, a hard wire internet connection, half size stove with clean dishes stocked throughout. Cons- Stair access only, could be tough with heavy luggage. Would definitely have to get an accessible room on the first floor if you have mobility challenges. The bed is a little hard especially for a side sleeper. Overall, the hotel is clean. The location is pretty nice and the ambiance is really nice. Walking distance to a few restaurants. I think the next time I would definitely get a rental car so I can drive around. I'm giving this place 4 stars because there was a hole in the carpet. That was very strange.

As a female traveler, I asked if it was safe and she said yes... so I went! the hotel is across the street from a Macy's mall and the trail head for the "Pleasanton Valley Nature Preserve Loop" was on the far side of Macy's, in a very affluent area up the hill at the "Pleasanton Preserve" sign. In less than an hour and a half, I walked to the trail head and hiked a glorious mile loop in open space and returned, totally refreshed. Thank you Ivy! A shoutout to the maintenance person - I locked the safe and couldn't remember the code. Even though it was late on a Fri night, there was a maintance man on-site who quickly opened the safe for me. I stayed in the King room on the mountain side- it was very quiet. SPOTLESS and very comfortable. Coffee was available in the beautiful upscale and lovely lobby. I did pay for the breakfast, which was fine... there's nothing nearby to easily walk to for bfst, so glad to have this option. Worth mentioning, the mall had JC Penny's closing, so the parking lot was vast and semi- deserted. The Macy's side has a Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen and PF Changs - chains, but makes it easy if you need dinner, which I did with a colleague. One small point, while the AC Marriott has great aesthetics, the toilet seat is horrible - it is cut way too small for the bowl, which is gross. The design flaw is in all the AC Marriots, as I've experience this before and complained to corporate HQ. If I was traveling with my husband, it would be absolutely disgusting, but since it was just me, it was semi-fine. I would highly recommed AC Marriott, except this issue stands out which is why I'm mentioning.

One…read moredoes not survive decades of hospitality across Europe -- from the zinc bars of Paris to the grand salons of Vienna -- without developing a finely tuned instinct for the unwelcome. A particular chill in the air. A look that communicates: you may exist, but you need not exist here. I had always assumed this gift belonged exclusively to the Parisian waiter -- perfected over centuries, practically a protected cultural institution. And then I met the bartender at AC Hotel Pleasanton. What she accomplished through a single look, a studied posture, and whatever words she deployed in lieu of a greeting was, objectively, extraordinary. I -- MaisOui Le Frenchy, a man who has approached bars on three continents without once questioning his right to be there -- found myself thinking: what did I do wrong? This is not a sensation I know well. It is also not a sensation any guest should ever know. I did not order a drink. The communication had already been made perfectly clear. The room, for its part, arrived with its own atmosphere: a large, mysterious smear on the exterior of the bathroom door, trailing downward in long dramatic streaks, as though whatever was responsible had made a desperate and unsuccessful bid for freedom. I did not touch it. I did not investigate. One night does not require a formal inquiry. Which is what makes all of this so particularly frustrating. Because the hotel itself is genuinely good. The room is well-appointed, spacious enough to breathe, and the design has been executed with care. The lamps by the pool, in particular, are a small but considered touch -- the kind of detail that signals someone, somewhere, actually thought about the experience. For the business traveler who has suffered through the beige indignities of lesser roadside accommodations -- and I have, more than I care to recount -- this is a meaningful step up. It is worth noting -- and fairness demands that I note it -- that the manager, upon being made aware of the evening's highlights, was gracious, competent, and genuinely concerned. She is, without question, working above her surroundings. The bones are good. The execution, on two particular fronts, was not. Three stars reflects precisely that arithmetic: a four-star property undone by a bartender who should not be facing guests, and a bathroom door that should have been faced by housekeeping. Fix those two things, and this review writes itself differently.
