This hotel probably dates back to the 1980s so expecting the Four Seasons is not realistic. The hotel also features quirky "vintage" items such as the popcorn ceiling and older Mitsubishi air-conditioning units (the gym) that age the building. I found these features charming. Having said that: * Staff said YES to all my demands. Yep, I said demands. I got a complimentary room upgrade. Joke aside, Anna, Connie and others went above and beyond to help and did not look annoyed with me at all. In fact, they were all genuinely friendly and made the stay that much more enjoyable. * Having the pool all to myself for an early morning swim was a 10/10 experience * The gym has everything I needed. Despite the older Mitsubishi air-conditioning units, it has clearly been renovated with new flooring, wallpaper and equipment and working out was fun in this space. * Pivot has some gastropub like menu items that I really enjoyed. Since I am not a sports bar person I would just bring my iPad, iPods Pro and read a book while enjoying my morning coffee * Having access to Yemeni coffee (5 minute walk), the Olive market subs and Black bear dinner made the neighborhood a genuinely unique experience. * the bed mattress was the kind of hotel mattress that makes you wonder where to buy one, as well as the pillows (no surprise there) I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat

Second time here and it was not as good as my last visit. Everything was great besides the bathroom. It was very dirty and needs repair (see pictures).

Found out I had company last night as I found this guy in the bathroom!

Found this guy on the bathroom floor this morning!! Found long black hair among towels and on the bathroom floor and shower tub. Room just wasn't very clean. The walkway to my car was smeared with dog poop! If you're going to allow pets then you should be prepared to deal with the mess!!

Always great hospitality. Never had a problem checking in, or a dirty room to come to.

I appreciated that there were spots just right in front of our room. SERVICE We opted to not receive room service so I can't attest to its quality. However, our check in and check out processes went smoothly. Very quiet, no complaints of noise around us. ROOMS We were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite which was plenty of space for just the two of us. Ours was located on the second floor and I didn't look too hard but there weren't elevators around-- just a heads up for those who might need one. The two rooms and two bathrooms were spacious. The living room had a pull out couch. There was a booth dining table that seats 4 and the desk worked perfectly for my husband who needed to work. Each room also had their own desks. The kitchen was equipped with a stove, microwave, and fridge-- ample for anyone who has to stay for a longer period of time. I always appreciate when hotel rooms have a full body mirror, so thank you for having one. AMENITIES We didn't get to enjoy the pool but we were impressed with the gym! It had 3 treadmills, 1 Peloton, 2 ellipticals, and 1 low bike. They also had medicine balls and dumbbells, but no bench or barbells. Unfortunately, the temperature inside was locked so it got warm pretty fast. BREAKFAST I appreciated their made-to-order omelets on top of their regular continental breakfast which included eggs, bacon, waffles, and fruits. There were plenty of seats in the lobby with TVs around. OVERALL I would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Pleasanton! Great value for its price.

This hotel is set-up much like a nice apartment complex. Her room was the One Bedroom King Suite. It was very spacious and has everything you may need for a long stay. The bed was comfortable (but lacked in pillows in my opinion). The sofa easily converts into a bed which is nice for having guests over. The kitchen is fully loaded with all the necessary dishes and utensils. The bathroom is a little small but the vanity is huge. The closet is also very spacious. There are large TVs in both the living and bedrooms which is a nice touch. The amenities are great too. There is a basketball/pickleball court, pool, grill, and hot tub outside. It feels very communal. People are always lounging out at the tables and around the pool. There are also fire pits to relax at. There is a nice gym, market, and small lobby bar. There is also complementary breakfast every morning (which is actually very good). They offer omelets made fresh to order with other items that rotate daily. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating! One thing I did notice is that after a while, even with the constant room service and a clean room, the room develops a little bit of a stale smell. Unfortunately, the windows don't open, but if you leave the door open, it will air out. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The bed was very comfortable and there are sound machines in the rooms - every hotel should have these! The room had everything I needed including an iron, blow dryer and fridge. The ice machine offered pebble ice, water, and then ice and water which I thought was pretty unique. The hotel gym was small but had a peloton bike which I'd never used before. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very inviting. The only aspect of the hotel I did not love was the surrounding area - there isn't much to do within walking distance of the hotel. It is very safe and quiet however. Shout out to the woman working the front desk overnight Aug 2-3 who saved me when I did not have a tampon at 2:30am. Overall I had a great experience at AC Hotel - Pleasanton and recommend it!

Pool are is nice with options of cabanas, group seating and lounge chairs. Too bad that is where it ends. The windows are old and single pane. The hotel backs up to the freeway so we can be lulled by traffic all night long. They put in a sound machine but it doesn't help. We picked this hotel for a staycation due to the pool and poolside bar and onsite restaurant. We checked in Friday to Sunday. When checking in we were told that the bar and restaurant were closed "sorry for the inconvenience ". Ok, I made us resy for a restaurant nearby and we had a nice night out. Next afternoon we were told again that the restaurant and bar are closed "sorry for the inconvenience". I asked to talk to the manager and she said she could not find staff so that's why it was closed both days. I empathized with her issue but if we were informed that wouldn't be available all weekend we would have looked for another leave to stay. Needless to say we won't be back.

First off the exterior and lobby look clearly remodeled. The rooms are dirty. The gym is absolutely nasty. The walls are super thin. I had issues with my bathroom sink not draining. Carpets were clean and the Hotel was clean and modern. Air Conditioning was very loud in our room so we couldn't use it, pretty warm. WiFi, like almost every Marriott, is just terrible. Not sure how they attract any business people at all. Our room had almost NO WiFi at all, and it was only useable if you went to the lobby - and that was their solution - hardly a solution when most of the business that we conduct is in our room, early in the morning, with a decent WiFi connection. We travel a lot for business, so much that we are Platinum at Marriott, but they clearly need to do something about their business model, get some decent WiFi for their rooms!
