I stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding at the nearby Palm events center. Check-in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and there are sound machines in the rooms - every hotel should have these! The room had everything I needed including an iron, blow dryer and fridge. The ice machine offered pebble ice, water, and then ice and water which I thought was pretty unique. The hotel gym was small but had a peloton bike which I'd never used before. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very inviting. The only aspect of the hotel I did not love was the surrounding area - there isn't much to do within walking distance of the hotel. It is very safe and quiet however. Shout out to the woman working the front desk overnight Aug 2-3 who saved me when I did not have a tampon at 2:30am. Overall I had a great experience at AC Hotel - Pleasanton and recommend it! read more

Hotel itself is nice. Beautifully decorated in warm neutral tones with a spacious lobby layout. Room was nice with a lot of natural light. Pool are is nice with options of cabanas, group seating and lounge chairs. Too bad that is where it ends. The windows are old and single pane. The hotel backs up to the freeway so we can be lulled by traffic all night long. They put in a sound machine but it doesn't help. We picked this hotel for a staycation due to the pool and poolside bar and onsite restaurant. We checked in Friday to Sunday. When checking in we were told that the bar and restaurant were closed "sorry for the inconvenience ". Ok, I made us resy for a restaurant nearby and we had a nice night out. Next afternoon we were told again that the restaurant and bar are closed "sorry for the inconvenience". I asked to talk to the manager and she said she could not find staff so that's why it was closed both days. I empathized with her issue but if we were informed that wouldn't be available all weekend we would have looked for another leave to stay. Needless to say we won't be back. read more

Only stayed for one night on a Sunday so this review is purely for the room itself. Check-in was relatively easy, as I had requested early check in. There were some events and a wedding happening, so rooms were not available. Had to call the morning of and was able to get a room a few hours earlier. Parking is complementary which is nice. The room was fairly nice. It seems like a somewhat recent renovation. The shower and bathroom vanity looked great. I believe the vanity was missing a soap holder, and the water pressure of the shower was on the lower side. For the bedroom, the lights were a bit dim (didn't seem like there was overhead lighting). I was on the 3rd floor facing the freeway and the noise wasn't too bad. TV does have apps you can sign into, like YouTube and Netflix. Overall a solid hotel if you're only staying there for the room itself! Also near BART which is a plus. read more

Our stay here was nice until we had breakfast at their on-site paid restaurant - AC Kitchen. The server working that morning was Sandy, and she was extremely rude and unprofessional when we inquired about food allergens, telling us that "this isn't your house" and that no accommodations could be made despite us booking a hotel stay with breakfast rate. It wasn't until we walked over to the front desk to ask for a refund that she saw we were pissed and said she'd talk to the cook to see what he could do. We spoke to the Front Desk Manager - Earl - upon checkout to let him know what happened. He said he'd relay our complaint to F&B management and offered us 10,000 points as an apology. From that conversation, it sounded to me like Sandy has had complaints like this before. If this is how she talks to customers, then she has no business working here or in hospitality in general. I've worked in restaurants and hospitality before and would definitely never do this. It definitely soiled my view of this hotel as it was my first time visiting an AC. The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are clean, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is free, and it's within walking distance of the BART station. Outstanding two night stay for business. To start, I was greeted by Ivy at the front desk - she was AWESOME. For some reason she mentioned that there is a hiking trail nearby and I went! As a female traveler, I asked if it was safe and she said yes... so I went! the hotel is across the street from a Macy's mall and the trail head for the "Pleasanton Valley Nature Preserve Loop" was on the far side of Macy's, in a very affluent area up the hill at the "Pleasanton Preserve" sign. In less than an hour and a half, I walked to the trail head and hiked a glorious mile loop in open space and returned, totally refreshed. Thank you Ivy! A shoutout to the maintenance person - I locked the safe and couldn't remember the code. Even though it was late on a Fri night, there was a maintance man on-site who quickly opened the safe for me. I stayed in the King room on the mountain side- it was very quiet. SPOTLESS and very comfortable. Coffee was available in the beautiful upscale and lovely lobby. I did pay for the breakfast, which was fine... there's nothing nearby to easily walk to for bfst, so glad to have this option. Worth mentioning, the mall had JC Penny's closing, so the parking lot was vast and semi- deserted. The Macy's side has a Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen and PF Changs - chains, but makes it easy if you need dinner, which I did with a colleague. One small point, while the AC Marriott has great aesthetics, the toilet seat is horrible - it is cut way too small for the bowl, which is gross. The design flaw is in all the AC Marriots, as I've experience this before and complained to corporate HQ. If I was traveling with my husband, it would be absolutely disgusting, but since it was just me, it was semi-fine. I would highly recommed AC Marriott, except this issue stands out which is why I'm mentioning. read more

I stayed for a week during a work trip. The front desk staff was super helpful, kind and accommodating. Adrienne at the bar made our visit pleasant even at the busiest hours on our first two nights. We liked to unwind and hang out after work. One night we were too exhausted to go out for dinner and figured we would stay at the bar for dinner, we walked up to Myka she didn't greet us for 25 minutes when we sat she was complaining to the cook it was busy (it wasn't) it was the slowest night I had been there. After thirty minutes we decided to go elsewhere. I have to travel once per month to Pleasanton and Adrienne is why I'll come back here every time. read more

This hotel was pretty nice. Here is my experience: The lady who helped us up front was very nice and courteous. The rooms are very modern minimalist in their design. I liked most things about it other than the bathroom door and the toilet. The bathroom door is a heavy sliding glass door that sticks. It seems dangerous and like it could easily come off the tracks. The toilet has a square shape and it feels like you fall into the toilet when you sit down because of it's shape. Other than that, the design feels nice. It seemed fairly clean, other than the bathroom mirror (which had water spots all over the center of it). The bed felt comfortable, somewhere between soft and firm. The pillows seemed nicer than average. Everything in the room worked, however the bathroom light seemed to stick and was hard to turn on and off. It was a button, but pressing it sometimes would do nothing. The bar area is open to either 9 or 10pm. They seem to be a full bar. They also offer food till around 8:30pm. There is a snack bar with items for purchase, including alcohol as well. The pool looked beautiful, but we didn't try it out. Overall it was a nice experience and I'd recommend this place to others. read more

The walls are paper thin. There is an in room "white noise" machine that was supposed to help with the noise, but it's little help because the machine itself is so loud. It is right next to the BART station, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is beautiful. Just know you need earplugs and sleep meds if someone is in the room next door. read more

Good place for our family weekend staycation. We wanted to earn our platinum status before the end of the year. And relax in a nice place with a restaurant. I liked their breakfast buffet. They had a lot to offer. I like the room size and cleanliness. It was nice to have a spacious bathroom and room. We spent most of the time playing board games and shuttling my kids to and from their ice hockey practice and games from the nearby Dublin Ice Rink. The staff are all very nice: had an easy check-in, the bartender was very helpful and patient with our dinner orders, and the breakfast buffet staff were very friendly and efficient: made sure that the buffet table was well-supplied with fruits, bread, meat, etc. read more

It's alright.... Stayed her last weekend for a wedding, the bridge and groom had blocked out some rooms for guests at the hotel so we booked a room there. The gentlemen working the front desk when we checked in was fantastic, I'd give him 5/5 easily. He was very friendly, explained everything to me and even followed up asking if I had any other questions or there was anything else he could do to help me, I wish I could remember his name so I could shout him out but we checked in around 2pm on Saturday 3/23 so hopefully management sees this and recognizes his great work. The room itself was ok. The bed was mostly comfortable and the shower the nice. The floor under the bed wasn't cleaned. There was a lot of dirt and I found 2 coffee straws under the bed, housekeeping needs to be a little more detailed on the room cleaning. There's no microwave in the rooms which was a little annoying as I had some leftovers the next day I wanted to heat but it is what it is. The hallway definitely echoes, we could hear people coming and going throughout the night. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience but if it wasn't for the wedding discount on the room I don't think I'd stay here, it isn't worth the price. read more

Their $18/person breakfast buffet provides endless option from bagels to pastries to eggs, sausage and bacon... all yummy and fresh! Sandy and Joni took great care of us! The rooms were very new and clean, I prefer the king size bed over the 2 queens; the layouts were a bit different. Really great with guests. A few other AC hotels I've been to in the Bay Area charges for parking. They aren't even in San Francisco mind you. This particular one doesn't charge for parking thankfully. I also love the shower heads here. So freaking great! Also who ever put out the hot cider when it was raining last week is a genius! The wear & cleanliness of the floor was unsightly. I twisted my ankle on the warped flooring on the first night. Physically & visually a rough experience for the feet. While the view was captivating during daylight, the bright lights & noise from the parking lot at night was stressful. It goes without saying that the walls are quite thin. The AC system is another loud noise source; at least it's performant. Storage isn't abundant nor ideal for the vertically challenged; optimized for a solo party. BED -- Positive sleep experience. Pillows were A+ quality. Sheets were decent & the mattress had balanced firmness. I regret not recording the brands from this one bc it sleeps good BATH -- On the smaller side dimension-wise. The shower experience was mostly favorable: Strong water pressure, Grohe handheld shower, absorbent & hefty towels. Overall, nice hotel. Check in went well. Slept well (I needed an extra blanket but there wasn't one). In the morning I had to drop hubby off at work. Came back and asked was there coffee. Front desk said sure it's right over there. There was a nice breakfast bar being prepared, so I fixed myself some coffee and went upstairs for a bit. So I go back downstairs to get breakfast, sat down ate and here comes this rude lady (that was setting everything up when I first got my coffee) and laid the bill down on the table. $21.74 for a strip of bacon and a spoonful of eggs. Surprise!!! There was no signage anywhere stating the cost of breakfast. Usually when we go to hotels breakfast bars are included or it has a sign. I don't eat much. If I had known, I would have saved my money. I better start asking since everything has hidden fees. One more thing, the toilet, it's square and the seat doesn't cover the whole rim. Not comfy for a woman. Check out is at 12noon, why did they just knock on the door (8:33a.m.) and said check out. I told him no, not until 12 noon. read more

i booked a one night stay at the AC Hotel in Pleasanton for 10/11/25-10/12/25. at 9am on our check out day (10/12/25) we were fully nude, in the middle of having an intimate moment together when a man, who we now know works as housekeeping, opened our door, didn't say who he was and proceeded to ask us, "you check out today?" me and my partner were in shock. my partner told the staff member to get out of our room and he just repeated the same question again. my partner yelled once again to close our door and he finally closed it. my partner clothed himself, walked outside and by this point the man and his cart were by another room down the hall (weird). my partner questioned him, asking what his deal was, then the staff member just asked the same question a third time. my partner then went down to the front desk to make a complaint & all they asked was if we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door. we didn't think it mattered since we used the deadbolt lock. my partner went back to our room & the front desk called us to offer us an extra hour for check out. that didn't help us seeing as how we had somewhere to be at 1:30 & our original checkout time was 12. then they called back an hour later to offer a free breakfast. we said we simply wanted our money back since our privacy had been invaded for no good reason. this man barged into our room at 9am when checkout wasn't until 12. he didn't even say who he was when he had broken in. this made our stay very uncomfortable, especially when what happened to us wasn't taken seriously by the staff. we have been trying to reach the manager of the property since our check out day but was told she was out till thursday (10/16/25). we tried calling again on thursday when she was supposedly back at the hotel and our call was sent to voicemail. we were told by someone at the front desk on our check out day to look out for an email from them regarding the situation. we still haven't received any email from them. read more

I can't say enough about the team - everyone is very friendly and the customer service is excellent. The rooms and hotel are very clean. Air conditioning worked well. Although our room was on the freeway we didn't hear anything. The pool is refreshing and furniture cozy. Although the restaurant wasn't open at night they have plenty of snacks and partner with DoorDash for $0 delivery fees on many restaurants. I also enjoyed the small crushed ice. We enjoyed the complimentary cookies, juice and aromatherapy sleepy bags. Great location but customer service shined brighter. read more

I forgot to take pictures but this place was dirty. We were so busy while here that I didn't even have time to say anything to the front desk until the day we left. The floors were extremely dirty. They came in to clean the room one day and didn't even change the sheets they just did the bed. They don't have a microwave in the room you have to call and request one. They give you one small bottle of lotion and you have to call and request if you need more which is super inconvenient. There should be enough toiletries for each person staying in the room. The tub was clogged. It took forever for the water to go down. Turning on the shower was super confusing on how to switch between hot and cold water. I chose AC Marriott to stay for our wedding weekend and for our rehearsal dinner. I so wish I could give 5 stars but there are a couple reasons that I have to dock some for. Cons: 1. I started communicating with AC for wedding room block about a year and some change out from our wedding. The communication was absolutely awful. No way around it. I figured maybe they weren't as "on it" because it was far out but of the communication never got better. 2. They came to me with a set price for my guests for the block at $200 a night. I explained that I didn't want to have that set price as the price to the public was always cheaper than $200 a night and so they told me they would change it to whatever price it was to the public. I signed the contract and then when they provided me with my room block link, it was $200 a night. I told them that's not what we agreed on and they didn't care. So, I didn't even use the link-- just told my guests to use the regular site as it was much less expensive. 3. We booked one of their suites for 3 days for me and my husband and to use it for the bridal party getting ready day of wedding. Overall the suite was great. But there was no closet which I found so bizarre. It was just a rod for hanging clothes. Was not ideal for me when I had my wedding dress. There were very minimal options to hang our garments. 4. We rented the library for our rehearsal dinner. The communication or more accurately, LACK of communication with Sam Coffey and Shawn Romeo was truly unacceptable. I understand that this may be another day of work for them but this was my wedding rehearsal dinner. I would email asking a couple of questions and weeks would go by without a responds. I would have to send multiple emails and end with a stern email about my disappointment, to even get a response. If there were more options in Pleasanton for rehearsal dinners, I would have pulled out from AC Marriott pretty quickly. Up until a week before, I still had to pull teeth to get responded to. I had to have a bridesmaid send an email and copy various people to get Sam to respond and when she did, she seemed very annoyed. Just horrible customer service. This dinner was for 40 people costing us 4k. I think for that price, along with our 1k suite cost plus all of the guests I brought to them for the weekend, Would warrant timely responses or at least a shred of acting like they cared. 5. Although the event ended up being great, it was half outside and it was freezing. There was never an option for heaters so I think they should consider offering that service. 6. We were in the DARK on the patio. There was no lighting where our tables were outside. PROS 1. Everyone staff member I interacted with in person during our stay was absolutely incredible. 2. The suite we stayed in was super nice and huge. It was perfect for what I needed on my wedding day getting ready with my bridesmaids (aside from the lack of closet) i love the sleek and modern, minimalist look the AC has. 3. They have bags of lavender by the elevator at night for you to put under your pillow for a good night sleep 4. Our rehearsal dinner was overall perfect. They really did execute well and it looked amazing. The food (a taco bar) was AMAZING and perfect. To summarize, coordinating, communication and planning an event with AC was awful however, they ended up executing it well. I didn't even want to leave this review with the negative as I was very happy with my rehearsal dinner and my suite-- but it's only fair to share the full experience as it was truly the only true stressor during my wedding planning process. I just wish they showed that they cared and even if they couldn't do that, just effectively communicate with your paying customer! read more

Don't stay and park your car here unless you want your car broken into. Multiple cars, including mine had our windows smashed overnight. Hotel helped cleaned the glass up for me but did not compensate me for anything. The star is for the hotel staff that gave me extra time to rest and check out late and for vacuuming my car and taped my window. I do appreciate that. read more

Spent the week in the bay area, and some mediocre and underwhelming hotels. On my last day in the Bay I decided to seek some thing heading back towards LA. Drove to the east bay where I hoped to get a much nicer room for less than I was getting in the bay. Mission accomplished with AC Hotel by Marriott in Pleasanton! I often stay at the residence inn in Berkeley area and this definitely gave me that same vibe. Cheers to a great much needed nights sleep for a great price, might even have a swim! read more

I enjoyed my stay here it was worth it When we got there on Friday they greeted us with wine and cheese while we waited for our room We had the staycation package it offered us 20$ credit on anything at the mini store and late checkout time. It had a bar and food you can eat there.The room was nice and clean, and looked modern.I liked that the tv selection had internet tv where you can watch Amazon prime and Netflix a big plus for me The staff was great it was two workers that stood out the most to me. Earl he works at the front desk really cool guy helped us with everything we needed and made sure we was accommodated. The second person who stood out was L'Oréal she was the one at the bar another great worker good vibes every time we seen her and very friendly. Would I come back again? yess!!
