This hotel exceeded our expectations. At first we were unsure of staying in a hotel in a shopping complex. However, that turned out to be one of the best features. The location was very convenient and the shops and restaurants around the hotel were very upscale. The hotel itself is very clean and quiet with comfortable beds and furniture. Never heard people in the halls and the staff is friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that I am not a fan of these new sliding glass bathroom doors with motion sensing lights inside the room. I know the corporate design team is trying to be original but they should also be functional first and foremost. The doors transfer sound and light to the main room no matter what time of the night. read more

Absolutely loved my stay at Hyatt Place Eugene! The location is convenient, you're surrounded by good shops & restaurants. The parking is free & it's in a covered parking structure with security patrolling. You initially park in the 3rd level get into the elevator & push level 5 & you're in the lobby. The feeling of clean the moment you walk through the lobby/halls was so refreshing but that did not come close to the level of cleanliness in our room. The breakfast buffet was delicious, I don't even eat breakfast usually but they had such a good selection that my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Huge shout out to the staff, they all said hello each time you passed & were warm & welcoming. I would love to personally thank the breakfast staff but since I can't I will write about it. People were very demanding of them each morning I went & they never lost their cool & had a smile on their face at all times (I personally would give attitude back from how these grown guests were acting). I'm bummed I didn't get to go to their sky lounge, it looked so pretty but there just was not enough time to go. Definitely staying here again! read more

This was my second time coming. The first time here I went to the rooftop bar and they were out of everything. Second time out of some things. But I oredered the mac n cheese and this has got to be the worst Mac n cheese iv ever had. Kraft was better then this. And for $11.50 it was so bland and lacking flavor and cheese! It was more like pasta with peppers. The drinks were okay. The ONLY thing they have going for them is the atmosphere. So if you want mehhh drinks and don't prefer food come here. John and the other guy with him at the front desk were so kind, understanding, and willing to help us out for our brief stay in Eugene, and remained both professional and personable with each question we had. Such a great place! Almost brand new! Really easy to make a last minute reservation online. Quick and easy check in. The room was a king bed with a sofa bed and a high view. Nice view and very tidy. All the accommodations. Very satisfied with the feel and cleanliness. Pet friendly for $75 more a night. This is by far and away, THE BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff is friendly - and not friendly because they have to be. Friendly because ... well .. they're friendly. I only stayed one night, and it was a last minute decision, but I will definitely be back. We did have a bit of a problem with the air conditioning in the room. It worked great, and if you stayed in one area of the room you were very comfortable. It just didn't circulate well. It in NO way impacted out stay like we thought it was going to. The pool and hot tub area. One of the nicest indoor set ups I've seen in a while. The hot tub is HUGE! The only thing I could complain about here - and let be honest it's not that huge of a complaint - is that it's right off the rooftop patio/lounge. Big windows. If you're self-conscious keep that in mind. Their complementary breakfast is quite good. There's a lot to choose from and there is quite a bit of seating if you want to be social. Seriously one of the hotels I've ever stayed in. I will definitely be back. read more

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially to a young woman traveling alone, unless you want to have your high end luxury car (Tesla model S) keyed by a razor or box-cutter with the word "SEXY" in their "secure" parking garage by a possible worker/employee. The paint was like new. I had called twice to follow up and report the incident in which both times they said they would look at the footage and contact me within 24 hours--that never happened. All I got was just a fake, "we are sorry" line with no follow up. Sounds like they are evading responsibility to hide their potential liability. Very rude and unprofessional. This hotel did an awesome job during our stay this past weekend. It was Clean, Comfortable, and Collaborative to say the least. Clean: our room was in impeccable shape, from the decorum to the up to date furniture. From wall to floor, ceiling to door. Comfortable: The beds, even the fold out couch just gave us that deep enriching sleep we so desperately needed. Even the height of the toilet suited our tall family just fine (no toddler toilets here). Collaborative: The entire crew from the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast manager, to the fitness and pool area tech were pleasantly supportive of our every need (Hi Kenzie and Lisa). For the price ($120-240) depending on your package, you will not regret staying here. We have found our new home away from home when we visit Eugene, OR for sure. * Side note: the juice bar in the connecting mall is fabulous but stay clear of the Mexican restaurant... We decided to have a staycation night. + It's pretty neat how they have it elevated above the parking garage so all of the floors have a view, including the lobby level. The staff was just a pleasure. Everyone was very friendly and the very best they could to get great service. We loved the bar! Great drinks in the outdoor patio is very unique for Eugene. - The lighting in the lobby and on the way to the pool is way too bright! It was burning my eyes LOL. We brought our blacklight flashlight for fun. Whst we found was not funny at all. There was human fluid on the sheets. We were in a pet room and thank goodness that we decidedly not to bring our pets. The floor was covered in dog urine that was glowing under the light. We have no idea what was on the couch that was glowing. Of course we have pictures for proof. Told the front desk they offered to change our sheets..I told them I would do it due to covide. We checked the sheets before making the bed and they were clean. They never offered to give us another room or credit us in any way. It is sad that during covid that they would not thoroughly clean their rooms and take care of their guests. I will never stay in this hotel again. TAKE YOUR FLASHLIGHTS FOR YOUR SAFETY!!! read more

My family just stayed with the friendly staff at the Hyatt for 8 nights due to the local wildfire and evacuation orders. The experience was the best I could imagine under the circumstances.. my two kids really enjoyed the pool reservations daily and breakfast options. The cleaning between pool uses was amazing as well as the rest of the hotel. The staff at the front desk knew us by name by the end of our stay and often assisted us with local dinning options. Stayed last night while picking up our daughter at the University and was really impressed with the overall design of the hotel. Contemporary, fresh and very clean. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. I liked seeing a full bar for take out and we ordered pizza from Pegasus downstairs and it was fantastic. Great restaurants and shopping that is walkable! Had we known that, because of Covid protocol, that the UO football team was staying there ahead of the game we would have requested a top floor room! Lots of door slamming and heavy walkers at night and in the morning! But what can you expect from these young adults?? Go Ducks!!!!! Would definitely stay again!! read more

The room and amenities were great. The only downside is that I stayed in a room that faced the rooftop bar (open until midnight). It was a Saturday evening but after a long day of travel/work event, it was pretty loud. If I would have known this, I would have requested a room that faced elsewhere. I would 100% stay here again but it would have been nice to have been informed of the room location. Other than that, the hotel grounds and surrounding shops/restaurants are wonderful. read more

It is so exciting to finally have an open air bar here in Eugene! It was my first time there and the patio was just gorgeous. The twinkling lights and big open patio was very inviting. The ability to order at the wall up bar without going inside was a nice touch. The heat lamps kept the space warm and cozy even on a cool night. The drinks were fairly priced, and very tasty. When my friends drink was too strong, the bar tender very kindly made her a fresh drink. We are already planning our next visit! read more

The experience I received here was top notch in so many ways. I was upgraded when I arrived, loved the skybar and the fact that there is a brewery on the 1st floor. They were absolutely amazing, especially when I pulled in later in the night with a flat tire on my rental car. It had no spare, and the flat was in the rim so I had to get it towed. One of the workers helped me out while AAA came and the other made sure I had a wake up call in the morning to take care of everything so I would not miss my flight while dealing with this. I am blown away impressed and wish I knew their names. In today's world it is so hard to find great, hell even good, customer service. They were proof it still exists. read more

I am only one night into my 2 night stay, and I am already blown away. This is one of the best business class hotels I've stayed in: 1. Rooms - The rooms are all upper floor rooms (located on the 6th and 7th floors of the building; the parking garage encompasses the first 4 floors), which minimizes noise from the street below. They are modern, but not antiseptically so. They are clean, bright, functionally well-designed, and well-maintained. Outlets are ample and conveniently located. The hallway noise is minimal (which is usually a problem ). My only complaint (and this is a technical one) is that the HVAC unit in the room is noisy, but they always are. Fortunately, the HVAC unit does not cycle endlessly, which frequently happens at other hotels. The Wifi is speedy with no problems during my stay. 2. Gym - The gym is clean, decently-sized, well-maintained, and well-appointed. The treadmills, bike and elliptical machines all feature individual TVs with Netflix and various programming options. There are free disposable headphones for guest use. There is a cable station with pull-up bars, and a decent amount of free weights. 3. Bar - The service at the bar is friendly and attentive. The space itself is spacious, modern, and well-stocked. The outdoor patio is phenomenal and features rooftop views, a fire pit (which was not in use during my stay), and ample seating. 4. Breakfast - Complimentary hot breakfast was quite good, and featured waffles, roasted potatoes, sausage, eggs, fruit, yogurt, carbs, and Seattle's Best coffee. 5. Service - Everyone is friendly, helpful, and attentive. 6. Parking - Ample and conveniently located by the elevators that take you directly to the lobby and guest rooms. I may be biased, I love Hyatt hotels, this one doesn't disappoint! Fun thing it the hotel starts on 5, so your up and away from the road noise and shopping center noise. It is attached to a shopping center with food and shops. There is a pool and hot tub on 5 inside. the entire hotel is clean and modern. I stayed here with my infant during the COVID 19 pandemic. This hotel is SO extremely clean. I was so shocked, and thrilled that a hotel (even the public restrooms by lobby, which had tampons, pads and even folded TP) were perfect. It was easy to reserve a room, the room was clean and I was confident to have my baby touching everything in sight. The price is unbeatable for what you get and I would 100/10 recommend. read more

I looked at several choices, and I'm also a Life long Marriott member. The Hyatt Place at the Oakway center more then fit my needs. Check in was fast with the wonderful Lindsey who couldn't have been more helpful even with all our questions. Courtney, who handles taking care of our room needs is kind, courteous and has a smile every morning. And our wonderful Host. Who stopped by a few times during our hotel wandering to make sure we had everything we needed. The deluxe queen room had a wonderful view, comfortable beds and more than enough outlets to keep our many electronics running. The morning buffet was plentiful and constantly restocked. The grandkids loved the pool and the adults fully enjoyed the sky bar and patio. We remarked several times that every member of staff was polite knowledgeable and always had a smile and a kind word. We have 2 more days here and we are looking forward to and planning our return trip. We commend and thank this wonderful staff. read more
