What a gem! From start to finish, Millie's delivered. The wedge salad was ah-mazing with the best blue cheese dressing -- the kind that makes you want to lick the plate. The pork nachos, made with their homemade potato chips, were a clever twist and super delicious, with fresh jalapeños that really rounded out the dish. The Florida sweet rum BBQ burger with fresh-cut fries was hearty and flavorful, and the filet and shrimp fondue, served with braised green beans and rustic potatoes, was equally impressive. Dessert sealed the deal -- the peach cobbler and bread pudding were clearly homemade, full of quality and love in every bite. Don't let the smaller-looking portions fool you; we told our server we'd be sharing some dishes, and they came out already plated separately. Our glasses were never empty, and the server was friendly, cool, and kind -- such a thoughtful touch all around. The atmosphere is quaint and rustic with a homey vibe, plenty of cozy booth and table options, and decorated with beautiful local art and photography (some available for purchase). From the outside it doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you -- Millie's is the real deal. All that food, and our check came to just $117. The food and service were great!! This a a gem next to a T-shirt store. We tried the alligator ribs and the steak and mushroom soup. I had the pork nachos and a side of grits and fondue. Bf had the drum special which was wrapped in prosciutto. All tasty and so much food we loved the soup. The most and the fondue you really could drink. I also loved my whimsy dessert of worms in dirt but adult style. So good dark chocolate and yummies. We will def be back!! Love that they Use resy too!! read more

We enjoyed our dinner here. The fish of the day was "golden tile", unfortunately it was not flavorful. The burgers were very good here. One of the best I've had in Daytona Beach. The service was excellent and the place itself is clean and tastefully decorated. Now the best part; the bourbon maple pecan bread pudding dessert was exceptional! This had always been one of my favorite places in the area, but this last trip was very disappointing. The service was very slow. We were always looking for our waitress. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were mini tacos each taco had one shrimp in it. Portion was very small and this was my dinner. They also seem to have changed the menu. They do not offer gluten-free pasta and there's now is an up charge for sides like mashed potatoes. Don't let the low profile fool you, this place is a gem! The food is farm to table and so fresh! The fish is catch of the day and today was the grouper, it was delicious! The Millie's burger is delicious, I like mine medium rare. The potato chips are home made and delicious. We had the key lime and coconut bread pudding which is seasonal, very good. Geat place. Hard to get into for a reason. Service is fantastic. Food is killer. I had tile fish special. Wow. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. A lot going on but all the flavors worked. Wife had the pork chop. Cooked perfectly to medium well and not dry. A bit too much goat cheese. It covered the entire top pretty thick. The fruit compote was not noticeable until she took off some of the cheese. The pork chop and fruit were enough alone. Saw lots of happy customers. A lot of them so get reservations but do go. This is another review I would prefer to give 4.5 stars. Everything was very tasty, the menu was not overly long, but it had a good variety of dishes. Drink availability was OK, although I would have liked to have some draft beer and the prices were a tad high for the beer. The food was excellent. Portions are not big, but this is not the kind of place you go to pig out. Every single item was cooked perfectly. I had a piece of grilled grouper on some delicious mashed potatoes and some very tasty green beans. The item that really shot them up to a higher ranking was the crabcakes. My wife has a very very picky standards on her crabcakes. I can name you dozens of very good restaurants that got knocked down in her rating because the crabcakes didn't have enough lump crab meat, had too much breading and other fillers. These are probably the only ones she has really liked since we went to Baltimore several years ago. We were hoping so, in general, you can tell how good the crabcakes should be based on their price, and these were up there. Worth every penny. Service was very good. We were surprised that it wasn't that big of a place, given all of the high ratings and regards that we had seen for the place. But like the food, it doesn't need to be large to be good. read more

What a spectacularly beautiful restaurant. Our first time we had to sit outside because they were very busy. They keep our drinks filled at all times. So even though it was hot, it didn't feel so. Our food was magnificent. Farm to table homemade everything. We did family style and tried gator ribs, ceviche, street corn and pulled pork nachos. We enjoyed our experience so much we went back the next day for lunch, was able to eat inside. Tiny place but so homey. The staff was so friendly. They were family style where, each of the staff was asking to help and offer anything needed. The staff took time to ask about us and spoke as if we've known them! Such a neat place to eat! The appetizer was good the entrees were awful. We have been going here since it opened. Last visit was sub par. The fish came out overcooked and they also served my wife a piece of fish with the bloodline still running through it. Fishy awful taste. The owners wife did not even offer to replace it. The waiter was very knowledgeable and let us through the highlights of the menu. We ordered grouper prepared two different ways and the crabcake dinner. Heard about Millies restaurant through the show Diners, Drive ins and dives. First off,dont trust the show. Been to 2 other restaurants shown on his show that sucked. But we decided to try it anyway. Pricy, but I don't think there's better food being prepared in Volusia county. My wife and I both cook and consider ourselves foodies.We had the Gator ribs and they were delicious and filling. We both had a burger. Cooked perfectly to order, home made potatoe chips and a pickle complimented this feast. The menu offers something for everybody. When you get there ask for Charlie.
