My time at Hyde Park Village was essentially an elite level window shopping experience with my mother, and honestly, I would not trade that day for anything. She was with me for my hair appointment, so we turned the whole thing into a full blown mother daughter day, which made it special regardless of what we did or did not buy. Hyde Park Village is absolutely perfect for strolling, wandering, lingering, and people watching because if you want to observe how the well heeled set moves through life, this is your front row seat. You will see retirees with serious jewelry sitting at cafés for hours, young professionals dressed like they have brand partnerships, and valet attendants casually opening doors to cars that cost more than some people's homes. It is fascinating in the best way. As for shopping, I will say this with humor and humility, it is way outside of my budget. I can admire the displays, appreciate the tailoring, and mentally style outfits I am not purchasing, but when I look at the price tags I am reminded that I am there for the ambiance and not the transactions. That does not make the experience any less enjoyable because there is something wonderful about walking through a beautifully curated space without the pressure to buy. For me, Hyde Park Village works as a place to enjoy a gorgeous Florida day, grab a bite, observe the scene, and spend quality time with my mother, which is what truly mattered. I may not have left with shopping bags swinging from my arm, but I left with a memory of a really lovely day, and sometimes that is the better purchase anyway. read more

Last night was a nice night for Xmas lighting in Hyde Park Village. I liked that it was not jammed packed and it was easy to walk through. People are walking around with their dogs and pretty happy here. This event took place from 5-8pm with the tree lighting at the end. We wish we saw the nutcracker ballet, but when we got there they were finishing up. We were able to get parking in one of the garages which they just opened up again when we got there. That made it way way easy since there was a good amount of parking inside. We were worried about the parking and it was fine. There was some vendors here and there but not too many. I wish we took pics by the vw van, but we didn't. They did have free ice cream from Oddfellows that we got. They sold mixed drinks and cotton candy and flowers and some food here and there like Birria Bros and The Mighty Fine. We didn't get any food and drinks while we were there. It was a nice relaxing night that made it even better with the Christmas lights and fresh air. read more

Hyde Park Village is a beautiful area in Tampa to enjoy shopping, dining or just walking around. A lot of high-end shops here. The restrooms are very well maintained. The weekends can get very busy here. It's so much more enjoyable to come during the weekday. There are paid and free parking options throughout, but you definitely have to hunt down that free parking. Our family of six visited Hyde Park Village twice during our stay in Florida. During our first visit, we walked around, grabbed lunch at Sweetgreen, then made our own candles at The Candle Pour. We had to come back and pick up our finished candles so we returned a couple of days later and shopped a little bit, too. The Village is beautiful and has lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the view and the nice weather. There's street and garage parking. We parked in garage both times with no issues. Hyde Park Village is a beautiful part of Tampa that is definitely one of the most upscale areas. If you aren't even a little bit dressed up you will feel out of place here. It's a lovely place to walk around, enjoy the small park if you want or take your pick of dozens of shopping choices, restaurants and a few other activities like candle or bracelet making. As mentioned, it is upscale shopping so the selections are not cheap- prepare your wallet or understand you won't buy anything. Places like Sephora, Lululemom, Anthropology, and Nike are here, to give perspective. But again, there's a lot to do and even just people watching is very entertaining. It's super dog friendly and there is usually a lot of parking though weekends it is so packed it's stressful irregardless trying to navigate in and out. read more

Hyde Park is about a mile and a half away from downtown Tampa and we were excited to get a walk in to go explore. My first Impressions was that it reminds me of a mini Rodeo Drive. I live down the road so I'm often here on walks and evenings out. It is beautiful and well maintained. There is a good variety of places however with time this has dwindled. In the last 2 years, almost all of the reasonably affordable establishments (goody goody, franchescas, etc) have gone and are being replaced with extremely high end clothing and boutique restaurants (100+ for 2 people). I do like the vibe however it would be nice to have a few casual places sprinkled in. Hopefully they can re-diversify in the coming years. Love the free parking read more

The Hunt Park Village area has more than six blocks of shops and dining to explore! It's a great location to just kind of walk around do some shopping and grab a bite or chew! This is a lovely outdoor mall with a mix of upscale stores and restaurants. Finding parking on the weekends can be a challenge, we ended up having to park in a nearby park, next to the basketball court. The shops are really nice, and it's a really relaxing area to walk, or have a meal. If you're a fan of flowers and plants I recommend stopping by the store 'Leafy Love' store. really beautiful plants at great prices. I ended up buying a plant from here. If you like outdoor shopping and farmers market combined on weekends.. Then Hyde Park Village is for you! This is similar to Winter Park Village in Park Avenue. Tons of shops and restaurants. Not much good options for eats in my opinion. The stores are not that bad. Good area to people watch and stroll and on weekends they have booths for farmers market ambiance. During the holidays this place is beautiful with Christmas lights etc. Free parking inside the garage! But some slots are blocked for "residents". Hyde Park is always a nice place to come hang and eat. They not only have lots of shops to browse but also great eateries and coffee or tea shops. The center court area is also a great place to sit and relax. They have a beautiful water fountain that makes for some beautiful pictures. They have benches and tables available as well as free books to read should that be your interest. Some of our favorite places include -- for eateries: Bartaco, Goody Goody Burger; for desserts: Sorrento Sweets, Sprinkles cupcakes and of course gourmet popsicles from Hyppo; and shopping: Vineyard Vines, Francescas. If you're looking for some fun craft spots consider The Candle Pour (which is in my list to try) and Color Me Mine (pottery painting). I LOVE Hyde Park Village. I've been visiting since I was in high school. Although all of the stores have changed since then, it's still one of my absolute favorite places to visit. Back in the day, they used to have live music in the summer - not sure if they still do that. I remember it being a singles hotspot and I would meet a lot of men at the summer concerts. Now, it's definitely a great place for families or for girlfriends to hang out (not so much to meet a date lol). I prefer going on a weekday when there is less people and traffic and I don't have to wade through a bunch of tourists. I'm usually able to find street parking, but if not, I'll park int he free garage. I love that they've added new high end stores, like Zimmerman, Alice & Olivia and Veronica Beard. I'll window shop for clothes, grab a salad from sweetgreen and or juice from Clean Juice and just hang out. Sometimes, I'll pop over for a few minutes to get take out from Goody Goody. I love that Hide Park Village is in a beautiful residential neighborhood near Bayshore and it's just a chill place to go to - but only during the week :) read more

I took a quick and cheap Lyft ride over to Hyde Park Village after reading through the reviews and choosing a place for lunch. Nestled in Hyde Park neighborhood, between the craftsman and colonial and Spanish style houses, this cute and appropriately modern shopping center was quite a delight. I was dropped off in the common square where there was a festive Christmas tree. This was a very nice area with plenty of seating. I walked around and went to several cute stores and boutiques. There are probably around 30-40 stores of all different types of merchandise. I bought some locally made hot sauce, some cute jewelry, and a little purse. I would have bought more, but I was limited because I planned on a long walk. After grabbing lunch and wandering into one more store, I took about a 30 minute walk back to downtown down Bayshore Blvd. Not bad at all with lovely views! As far as parking / ride share - I saw garage parking and street parking available. My Lyft ride from downtown was only $7. Quite a lovely change from downtown, and just a mile away! read more

Writing this review solely to bring awareness to the poor design of the Hyde Park garage. The parking space stoppers are incredibly large and can easily cause damage to your car. As was the case when I visited a few weeks ago. When backing out, the stopper got caught underneath my bumper and nearly ripped it completely off. Luckily, I was able to get it fixed for cheap at "All Makes Collision Center" on Nebraska Ave. The garage is extremely narrow and not easy to maneuver around, this coupled with the obnoxiously large parking spaces stoppers is simply a recipe for disaster. I highly recommend finding street parking when visiting Hyde Park if you can find a spot! read more

Street parking was nonexistent so we parked in one of the parking garages before going to dinner and shopping. On our last visit to the area we had dinner at the Meat Market and lunch at Goody Goody. We bought a cupcake at Sprinkles ATM and stopped into Sorrento Sweets for a to go order. For shopping we went to Brooks Brothers, Downtown Dogs, Sur La Table and West Elm. This is such a cute outdoor area to walk around on a nice day! Parking is free and all the stores are within a 10-minute walk radius. Living in St. Pete, it is worth the trip across the bridge to walk around here. Not only are the vibes amazing, but there are amazing food options, and a good selection of stores to walk around. Always people walking their dogs, running, and sitting outside eating. Great great activity there is also a free parking garage which is a life saver because it is hard to find parking on the street in this area, which saves the stress of finding a spot. I wish the village was bigger, but it is full of charm! It is one of my favorite places to go and bring family and friends when they are in town. One of my top recommendations for someone to visit when in Tampa. I have definitely seen this area grow over the years. When I was younger everyone lived in Hyde Park (we were all working young professionals who loved to go out on Friday night.) As I have aged (rapidly), we have all moved to Westchase. However, we still love going down to Hyde Park to shop and eat (two things that are somewhat missing in Westchase.) There is a cute mix of locally owned businesses, higher end chains, and restaurants. Also, there is the only Anthropologie that is in this area (how is there only one?) I love all the restaurants and haven't hit a dud yet. They also have events that are super family friendly. Best part, parking is free! They have free covered parking garages, which takes away any excuse not to go here. It is walking distance to Bayshore, so my idea of a perfect day, weather permitting, is to grab brunch in Hyde Park, take a look at the shops, and go for a nice walk by the water. read more

Hyde Park Village is a pleasant place to shop, nosh, workout or do some window shopping. The premier shopping center has something for everyone and every taste if you've got the funds to blow. Several stores of different varieties populate the nicely appointed shopping area. Bear in mind that there are more high-end stores, as this is a more affluent area. I enjoy visiting the shops and boutiques and they keep adding more! I enjoy the new additions of Kendra Scott (BEAUTIFUL store interior, Suitsupply (a Dutch brand-check 'em out), Sur La Table, Vineyard Vines, Goody Goody, and Sprinkles Cupcakes to name a few. I also love the standby and anchor stores and restaurants. Watching a movie at the nicest theatre in Tampa Bay, CineBistro, is a delight. The LA Fitness there are is a great place to workout. Lululemon also offers yoga in their store on the weekends so be sure to check the schedule for that. You can also create your own power walking mission around this safe and nicely lit area if you so choose. You might (edit:should) want to walk off that heavy meal at Piquant or On Swann and Hyde Park Village is perfect for taking an after dinner stroll. There are various events and activities that take place in this aesthetically beautiful "village" shopping center. When I'm here it doesn't feel like I'm in Tampa but I love it. The Fresh Market of Hyde Park is an awesome monthly event that takes place on the first Sunday of every month. Sprinkles Cupcakes is a fabulous new addition and they have a cupcake ATM, yo, so you can get your sugar rush stealthy on the down low. I love Hyde Park Village and you should too. It's a great place to spend a few hours perusing and window shopping or if you have time to kill. Make it a family our friend outing and visit Color Me Mine. Sur La Table has cooking classes which would be fun. Last time I stopped by they had a cooking class on making NYC style bagels! It's nicely decorated during the winter months and family friendly for taking photographs. I've even seen photographers taking family portraits here. The fact that anyone could give Hyde Park below 5 stars in the last 6 years seems bonkers to me. They have absolutely done an amazing job with this shopping and dining center. Does it get crowded? Sure! Is parking limited? Technically yes. The garages are so nice though. They even have A/C in the stairwell, y'all. And they do a great job letting you know when lots are full. This plaza is home to some of Tampa Bay's best local restaurants. It also packs in some awesome national brands, and even features small boutique brands. There is something for everyone and it's all in a gorgeously maintained, perfectly curated park. Lately, they have been putting up some fun murals too. I don't know if I will ever see myself going to a mall again, so outdoor shopping centers like this are so so ideal. 12 years ago Hyde Park was barely hanging on but now she is THRIVING. read more

What a great area! Hyde Park Village is very clean and well kept. There are different stores and restaurants that line the street. You can easily spend a few hours here! In the middle is a "park" area with benches and tables. Right now it's decorated for Christmas. The parking is very easy. Not sure who would complain about it and I drive an SUV. You can park along the street if there is a place available or we just opted for the parking garage. It was easy to get in and out of, was free to park in and we had plenty of room for our suv.
