I was in a predicament, because the only person I trust for this service was back home in LA. When I discussed this problem with my cousin, she recommended that I went to Larisa. Normally I would be skeptical, but my cousin only trusts the best when it comes to her skin stuff. To get to the point, Larisa gave me a facial and my skin cleared up within 2 days; comparatively speaking, it seemed to be twice as thorough as any super high-end facial that I get in LA. It's been a couple months and I've gotten lazy with my skin care routine, but still no sign of breakouts!!! They typically do very well at match mart and Marianne takes great care in ensuring my nail beds never got compromised during removal. Unfortunately this is not the standard for all salons. Whoever helped me exclusively used a drill, I am assuming because she wanted to save time. I had to tell her multiple times that my nail bed was getting too hot and even jumped in pain. Only once ever did I get a removal service like this elsewhere and I never went back - unfortunately I won't be back at this location either. Two weeks later and my nails are still splitting as the grow up and in incredible pain. In short, It took me weeks and weeks to grow my nails out and now I have to start from square -10. This is hurts like crazy, I told the lady she was drilling too much and she said "that's what she had to do". This is just unacceptable.

They did reschedule my appointment because the original nail tech couldn't do DD. Gulzat handled my manicure and did a very nice job, we talked about perfumes (Baccarat Rouge, she complimented me), she offered me a drink, changed up the color when I asked for more sparkle, and did a neat and clean job, nice cuticles. The manicure was a bit more compared to the other salons I've been to recently, and my hands were dry (no lotion). There are other beauty services offered at Legen--I'm allergic to--dary, so I might check them out. All jokes aside, I think my manicure at Legendary was nicely done. We've been happy with our treatment and stylist, but a friend recently switched to Jasmine and said the results were better than ever. My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!
