I came by another time after work with just the intention to say hello and look at the new switch games. It was 5 minutes before closing and I saw that they were taking preorders for Pokemon US/UM so I asked if I should come by another time because I knew they had to close the store soon. James insisted it was fine and let us stay way past their closing time (Sorry!!). I came by again the other day in order to preorder Splatoon and a different sales associate rung me up. It was a completely different experience and I didn't feel as welcome. It just seemed like he was trying to get rid of me when I wasn't even there for more than 10 minutes. When he handed me my receipt he didn't say anything at all and turned around to continue talking with his coworker. :-(

The staff there informed me they were out of stock but confirmed that the Torrance location had 5 copies available. Based on this information, I drove 20 minutes to the Torrance store. Upon arrival, I spoke with a gentleman named John. When I asked for the game, he told me they did not have it. When I explained that the Long Beach store had specifically seen 5 copies in their system, he dismissively told me they didn't have any. He was very rude throughout the interaction. The owner of the shop (I believe their name is Gina going off other reviews?) was very lovely, and instantly understood what needed to be done to get my Switch's game card reader working again. Needless to say, I learned my lesson with regards to handling my console, but I am very thankful to have found such a useful shop that I'm happy to recommend to game enthusiasts who want to keep their hardware working. Just because i wanted to off load this stuff i was like sure whatever, he then tests the systems and they all work. He then comes back to me and makes me a different offer for them "I can give you $40" it got lower??? Anyways it's better to go take your business with a place that's more honest. They provided about 8 chairs for exterior gaming. On a hot day, I suggest putting up canopies for the "extras" you may order from them, plus guests (parents) who might want to hang near the truck. GameTruck: The truck/trailer needs at least 3 car lengths of space in front of a residence. Game selection was excellent across all platforms and satisfied 6yo - 14yo players. Cool mood-setting RGB lighting in the interior. Clean and excellent condition physical space and hardware. Mixed feedback from guests about the A/C but my b-day boy said he was perfectly cool. Service Acquisition: Business was conducted 100% over the phone. Told owner that my discovery and background knowledge was via Yelp. As such, service area limitation premiums $$ and travel fees were not referenced nor communicated in the procurement conversation. The business educated me about them after invoice was provided.
