There aren't many reviews here and that's a shame. Hytech did our install at the end of January. 5 months now and we couldn't be happier with the project. From start to finish Hytech was professional, courteous and communicative. Especially Leigh, so easy working with her. Besides the hardware on your roof the system comes with a fantastic online service which enables you to monitor your system. Once you sign up you can view usage and solar collection data!! A very powerful tool. There are many posts with pictures on other more traditional social media platforms but I'll post a few. Hopefully more people go solar and if you do i would highly recommend Hytech. read more

The reason why I leave such a bad review is because I paid so much money for my solar panels and they have the worst customer service. They are supposed to monitor the solar panels and notify when the system is down, well they don't. The homeowner ends up doing that and trying to figure out what the issue is. They came to my house over a month ago to take a look at my solar panels and no call back as to what the findings were found but yet they were quick to send me the service bill to pay. Prior to all this, I've had numerous issues with the solar panels and they don't get back to me. read more

Last Saturday, i received a message saying I had micro inverters not operating. I left a message not expecting any answer until Monday. On Monday I called again. I spoke to Vladimir. He told me service would be $185 an hour. I said ok. He told me his manager would call back to schedule. I did not get any call back The next day I got another error message saying gateway was not responding. Called again. Since than I have been calling every day. Skyy Mussetter and Hytech lied to me to steal my business from a competitor. Skyy and I connected when Hytech did a home energy audit and he was my Hytech representative. When I told him I was going to get solar, he asked about the deal. He told me he could beat the price I was quoted by 50%. Once the contract was signed, Skyy was very hard to get a hold of. More than two months later, he contacted me out of the blue to let me know that they were going to have to cut the number of panels in my home by half (from 13 to 7 panels). This is not the first time Hytech has done home solar, therefore such a drastic reduction goes beyond engineering assessment mistakes. It goes beyond mismanagement. It is an outright lie. Save yourself the trouble and look for an honest broker instead. read more

The supervisors were extremely knowledgeable and explained/answered everything in terms that I was able to understand. They made sure I knew everything that was going to go on for the install and kept me up to date as the install was going on. The installation was seamless and my home was left as clean as, if not cleaner then before they arrived. Very efficient crew and they clearly know their profession. Update, no answer than the system work good in my house, and nothing else but to install another 18 or 14 panels to fix the issue of mis-calculation on my house Don't try them , go somewhere else. They installed a system in my house that barely can stand my consumption ,I end up by paying the loan and paying the electric bills, way more than I used to pay monthly . I called their tech( David) , he came for a visit , end up by offering me another installation of 18 more panels, with $ 22k more, with a new loan. His excuse is my hot tub is consuming more , and this hot tub was before the data collection for the system with complete 8 month. So on behalf of admitting the calculation mistake , saying that my consumption went up, what a joke . I'm not happy with them , as this can be avoid by doing the right calculation from the beginning. Now I'm stuck and don't know what to do. Really looking on forward for fixing the issue , the company is decent , but this mistake end up by scamming me. Update: So far a phone call from 2 weeks, trying to convince me to change and remove the review that I post it. I explained that people need to see the good and the bad in any company, and this is a problem that need to be take care of. First thing, turned out that i dont need another 18 panels and that my system can get fixed without adding that much of panels. However , they have to go back to the owner and get things through him first and get back to me. this is 2 weeks now when in the phone mentioned that they wil need couple of days. As i mentioned earlier, they did the wrong calculation from the beginning and never have the production right to cover the consumption. In the mean time, i still stuck paying more the loan and the bill to PSEG, which is more than what i use to pay without this loan for solar . waiting on solving it, and will keep update in case they call with solution or not. I dont see any bad reviews updated from any customer. really frustrated when see the company only reply the good reviews when they should take care of mistakes they done with my calculation, and only ask me to change the take out the review I wrote with honesty, hope to see they will fix it. Update : So far no call from any one in this company to fix the issue , I have to call them and the only thing I got is David will not contact me again. Finally they realized that he did offer me 18 panels and then additional 18 panels is just nonsense.Their only concern is to take out this review from the internet. I had been thinking about purchasing solar panels for a long time and when Hytech visited my home, I was sold. They installed solar panels in January and made the process so seamless. In October I was told my job would be completed by the end of the year. I was told that the towns permitting dept was terrible but that even with terrible turn around time I would still be set. I asked again mid December if this was going to happen and was told no. So, I cancelled. I don't feel comfortable with people on the roof in the dead of winter and permitting has still not been approved. When I called to cancel a very defensive Valerie told me that I would be responsible to pay $1600 in engineering fees...but then a short while later said the sales rep would have to pay that. I explained to Valerie that I am not in anyway questioning their integrity that I just have simply changed my mind. A few hours later I received a call from and even more defensive Leigh. I said I changed my mind and that is all but thank you! A little while later I received an invoice for $10,350? dollars!!! I was infuriated. I called them and told "Leigh" who seemed to be annoyed just answering the phone and more annoyed I had the audacity to ask what her name was at all.... I yelled told them they're a joke and hung up. I then received another emailed invoice for the 1600 that Valerie said I wouldn't have to pay! Invoice due now date on it was especially triggering! I was lied to from day one about pricing and the finances. I did go with another provider that was honest with me, however the lies From the Hytech rep delayed my install date and the price went up a few dollars a month (because by then COVID was here and I couldn't get installed). Shame on Hytech, your rep is dishonest and I paid for it in the end. read more

I received a phone call solicitation from this company. I told the woman I was not interested and asked her to please take me off of their calling list. She said NO and promptly hung up. I called the number the solicitor called from and it is not in service. I don't think I would trust any company who defies following the rules for NY state's do not call list and uses sham numbers for making phone calls. Buyer beware. read more
