i have been dealing with this dealership for 5 days. Salesman named Kyle. We are searching for our third Palisade Calligraphy. He assured us he could get the vehicle we wanted. My husband and Kyle agreed on a price, for the package we wanted. Today we were told he could not get the All Wheel Drive package we wanted, he said there were only a few within their 500 mile allowance for a dealer trade. There are 61 in that 500 mile area. He offered to do the same deal on a front wheel drive unit, then tried to tell us we agreed on a price for the lesser valued unit. Absolutely No integrity. read more

Nothing done until I threw a fit; now my car is getting the scan done. But weeks before repairs can be done. Not told this until I had the car off loaded from the tow truck. Had the Hyundai security recall done here. First time at this dealership. Service at Patterson Hyundai in Tyler was a bust. This was a good test without too much risk. They did the upgrade well enough and called promptly when it was done. The car was immaculate when we dropped it off and it was returned the same. The service reception area is quite disheveled. Bankers boxes are stacked up in corners. The service personnel are at makeshift desks. It doesn't look very professional. The advisors weren't altogether friendly, just one was. I don't know what dealer/owners are thinking when they don't make service contacts with customers crisp and perfect. This is crucial when it comes to thinking about buying a car from them for me. North East Texas sure could use a top notch Hyundai dealer---it wouldn't be hard to stand out in this area. read more

Tried to schedule service for my Sonata 2 days ago. Service dept wouldn't answer phone. Left my contact info with person who tried to connect me with service dept, and was assured they would contact me. Never called me back. Left a message with their web site this morning, and a salesman called trying to sell me a car. (He didn't even read the message I had left. Just saw that I had contacted the dealership.) Salesman said he would give my info to the service manager and he would call me right back. That was hours ago. This is my 2nd poor experience with this service dept. Just paid off my Hyundai. I took my car to Hyundai of Longview for paint repair and collision repair. I had 1/4 tank of gas in it. It had been detailed beautifully before I dropped it off. It had a 100 % battery. It also had 103,045 miles on it. When I went to pick it up, it's was a disaster. I spent $3,400 on the repairs. It had 103,078 miles on it... The interior was blasted with white dust all over the inside and mud all over my driver side. The battery was completely dead. The gas tank was completely empty. The underbody plastics were broken by them and not repaired, left to drag on the ground. They had the audacity to try and sell me $600 worth of new plastics. They refused to put gas back in the vehicle. So I took it back for a detail. They called to tell me it was all clean again. I went to pick it up and again, not clean. Dust and mud still in my vehicle. So it will go back again and again and again until it is fixed, then I will never return! My suggestion, do not ever use this place for repairs or service, they have no quality in their work and do not care about you. read more

DO NOT GO HERE TO BUY AN AIR FRESHENER LET ALONE A CAR! You have heard the old warnings about snake oil salesman? Hyundai of Longview and a salesman named RJ define these warnings!!! The prices on their website do not reflect what they will try to sell you the car for. They will try (failed desperately with me) to make you feel stupid and then tell you "you're going to buy a car from them" RJ will remind you (as he did me and my wife) of the corner drug dealer! Allow me to explain the price on the website "dealers price" was $16,500 but RJ apparently thought he was going to convince us the price was really over $21,000+TT&L. He uses every high-pressure sales tactic in the book including trying to make you feel guilty for not buying from him. If I could have awarded them ZERO stars I would have! RJ is a crook, don't waste your time here drive the few extra miles to Mike Morgan Hyundai in Shreveport and talk to Nathan Rogers - He is very honest and the advertised price is the price! read more

I received a letter of solicitation from this dealership (as did many other people). In the letter, I was told that they wanted me to sell them my used car for what was, frankly, an incredibly good amount. It was enough to interest me to go in and see if the reality was as good as the offer in the letter. My salesman was great, I would be happy to work with him in the future, but the offer the dealership made was, well, underwhelming. The offer in the letter was "as much as $4,000 over KBB [Kelly Blue Book] depending on the condition of the vehicle." Other things in the letter were "I will make it worth the trip down here if they bring it in." and "I want to make it absolutely clear; This is not about trying to sell them a new car. This is about seeing if they have that Hyundai." The letter was written under the name of "Chace Pate, General Manager of the dealership." Now, the car I have is paid off. It also was very low mileage (just under 35,000 for a 2017 vehicle that I bought in 2016). It does has some minor damage from where my car was backed into but, other than that, the car is in excellent shape. When they were trying to lowball me, they mentioned that damage, which was fair for them to do, but they did not mention any other problems they found with the car. I am perfectly happy to keep driving my car for many more years and was not looking to buy a new car. I only went because the offer in their letter was enough that I could have been willing to sell it and buy a new car if their offer was really that good. The details on my car are that the KBB fair price, with the mileage I have, was $17,922 - $20,293. Add the maximum bonus, the maximum that they said they would offer me should have been $24,293. The way their letter was worded and, since they approached me, their offer should have been the maximum in KBB ($20,293) and then taking any negotiation over the bonus on top of that out of the maximum bonus ($4,000). Out of the bonus, I said that I would take $2,300 ($2,293) out of the bonus for an offer of $22,000. I also had a point I wanted for financing the car, but the discussion never reached that point. What they said was the maximum the could offer me was $17,000 total, which doesn't even come up to the minimum amount listed in KBB and included no bonus. I did ask to speak to a Floor Manager before I left in order to give positive feedback about my salesman. The Manager, however, then took it back to buying my car for $17,000. What he said was that they couldn't offer the maximum for my car because of the damage. I told him that, the way the letter was worded, they should have been offering me the maximum in KBB and negotiated the damage out of the bonus. Since NONE of the discussion on his part included, or even acknowledged, the bonus, I told him that I thought the letter was a bait and switch fraud. He offered no apology to me, nor did he concede any of my points that I tried to make. Before I left, another customer, who had also been brought in by that same letter, approached me to talk about what he had overheard me saying to the Manager. The customer, his daughter, and I talked right there on the show floor, right in front of the Manager's office. We talking for about 15 - 20 minutes. During this, no one from the business came up to even try any kind of service recovery (in customer service, service recovery is what a business does to keep a customer satisfied and/or to at least leave the customer with a positive opinion of the business). I told the other customer that I was going to leave a negative Yelp review, at the least, and was considering contacting the Consumer Protection office of the Texas Attorney General. In fact, when I got home, I filed a fraud complaint with the AG's office before I wrote this review. To finish this off, my salesman was great, the car they wanted to sell me was nice, and even the Manager was not unpleasant to deal with. My problem with this business was that letter they sent out to, probably, EVERY Hyundai owner in the area (I live in the next county over, about half-an-hour away from Longview). If I had been the one to approach them, their offer was perfectly reasonable but that was not the case here. They solicited me about selling them a car I was not looking to sell and then, when I got there, they treated me as if I was the one who had initiated the contact. What they offered me was in no way anything that would make it "worth the trip." And they couldn't tell me why I should sell them my paid-off car and take on a new debt based on what they offered me. Essentially, there was a $5,000 difference between what I wanted, what would make it worth my while, and they expected me to simply accept their offer without making any kind of realistic attempt to even negotiate the amount with me. So, if you are solicited by this dealership promising you a deal that is just a little too good, don't be fooled. It is a bait and switch dressed up nicely. read more

My car is a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT with 130,000 miles on it. When I started my car up a few weeks ago, it felt a little shaky so I shut it off and started it up again and the check engine light came on. I took it over to ABC auto parts a few days later to have the code read because I knew the light was probably going to go off soon and I wanted to know the issue. They said the code read that it was a cylinder 1 misfire. When I got it over to Hyundai, I gave them the code and explained the issue. I sat in the waiting room for probably 30 minutes to an hour waiting. Also, this was around lunch time so I don't think they wanted to work too hard on it at that time. They said when they revved the engine up trying to get the issue to start again, they said it started smoking and also that the last place I went to overfilled my oil. Basically they told me they needed more time to look at it cause they weren't sure. So I left it there for 3 days. During those 3 days, no one called me. When I ended up calling them, they told me that the spark plug in cylinder 1 was broken and pieces ended up going into the engine and damaging it. They said it wasn't safe to drive long distances and that I needed a new engine. I'm thinking in my head. What?? What I don't understand is why they didn't tell me that when I was there. To me, checking the spark plug would have been the first thing I would have checked. I ended up calling my dad and getting him on the case cause him and I both know how car dealerships can be. When my dad talked to them, he told them to just go ahead and put a new spark plug in and see how it runs and to give him a call back. The rest of the day goes by and no one called. Then the next day they call and say they are going to try putting the plug in, which was what I thought they had already done the day before. After they put the new one in, I went to pick it up. I paid for the diagnosis and for the new spark plug. I've driven my car several times since then without any issues. I really think they are just desperate for money right now because of Covid and will tell their customers anything to get them to spend the most money. Also, they said there would be blow by because of oil going into the intake. They said oil was coming out of the tailpipe. My dad told me when I got there to stick a piece of paper towel in there and wipe inside to see if there was any oil and there wasn't. read more

He told me that they had one on the lot, so my wife & I left work to drive from Marshall. When we got there, we waited outside in the heat for 15 minutes while he went to look for it. When he came back, it was a SEL model that had boxes from Amazon in the back. I could not believe that this new dealership was being run like this. Very, very disappointing. I went there very interested in a new car, with financing ready. They didn't have the model in stock so I could test drive it and so I asked if they could get one in. The salesman disappeared for a minute (always a bad sign) then reappeared and said they could buy they "needed some kind of commitment". I told them I wasn't going to commit to something I'd never even driven, but I was a serious buyer. They then said they'd have it in in a day or two so I told them I'd be back in 4 days with my wife so she could test drive it as well and left my email and phone so they could contact me if there were any problems. The dealership is about 25 miles away. When I came back the car wasn't there, they hadn't called, and when I asked why they told me "W weren't sure you were serious". I started to leave and another salesman stopped me to see if he could placate me and assured me they would have the car there in a few days. I came back again, drove the car and told them I liked it but was unhappy at this point with them because if they weren't even willing to get a car for me to drive what would they be like on service? However, I did like the car and told them to email me a take it or leave it price for a loaded car. I also told them I didn't want one with the $1500 pinstripe and tint they added (about a $350 actual cost to have done). The salesman said they wouldn't be able to provide me a price unless I sat down in the sales office and was willing to make a decision. I then told them thanks anyway, but the other dealerships I was looking at were more than willing to give me a price without that. The tune changed and the salesman said they could send me the price. The price I got was about $1000 higher than the average price people are paying for the car in this area, according to all of the online information. They lost not only this sale, but at last two more in the next few months as I will be buying cars for my kids. Very, very disappointed in the dealership and the sales process. I'm now about to purchase a vehicle at the local VW dealership because they know how to treat customers. read more

We traveled 2 hours to purchase 2 cars from this dealership. We called a day in advance and discussed the vehicles we were very interested in. When we arrived the next day at 4 pm, we were told that only one of the vehicles were on the lot and they had sent someone to get the other car from their other lot. We waited for 2 hours and then were told they had picked up the WRONG CAR! So they insisted that we take a brand new car home and gave us a prepaid gas card WITH A WHOLE $5 on it!! So we decide to cancel the whole thing and will pick up our car the next day. On the way back to Longview our salesman calls to tell us he is not at work but he has OUR keys in his personal vehicle!! REALLY?? WHY?? So we turn around and come back home again. The next day we arrive at the dealership and our salesman is pulling our car around to the front of building where we were sitting outside. Another Salesman hollers at our Salesman and says "Where'd you get that piece of shit from?" Needless to say we got out there as fast as we could AND WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK! I get this letter in the mail, with a handwritten post it note that says to call Evan as soon as possible- it was very specific about the make and model of my former car, and was personally addressed to me in the body of the printed off email. This really concerned me and stressed me out, because the car was traded in last year to another dealership and should no longer be in my name. I called and spoke with a receptionist who wasn't a great listener, and insisted this letter, hand written post it note and all, is a form letter. When I asked to speak with a manager, she put me to voice mail. When I called back and insisted to speak with the manager, it was clear they are very good with this scam they are running and the stress it causes. I hung up. I bought a brand new 2020 Elantra Value edition in FL. I had it for 3 weeks and then moved to Texas. Halfway through my drive the car started pulling to the right. I took it into this dealership and they said they'd look at it. The service manager Darryl called and told me he and another tech drove the car and it did not pull to the right so they weren't going to do an alignment. Then they said the air in the tires was high and they lowered it so I shouldn't have a further problem. When I went to pickup my car they told me to go drive it to see if it was better. I did this time with a tech in the car and sure enough, same issue. I then dropped it off again and they said they'd put it on the alignment machine. Darryl called me and said the machine showed no problems. He then said it was normal for a brand new car to drift to the right. This is unbearable and I am calling Hyundai corporate. read more

It's been a year, with yet no follow-up from the owner, manager nor the finance manager who ran our credit 33 time! We had excellent credit with a pre-approved letter from our bank in hand for a $40,000 car. Hyundia of Longview finance manager ask to run our credit ONCE in-house for a $200 kick-back for themselves. We agreed once but had no idea we would receive 33 letters where they helped themselves to our good credit. Multiple promises from their finance manager, a visit with their manager and emails to the owner, all promising to fix 33 credit checks on our credit report. This week is a year and STILL NO PROMISE fulfilled. Our credit reports still show the party Hyundai of Longview enjoyed at our expense. Yes, we got a car with no money down. It was suppose to be a great experience for our daughter's first car. Thanks to Hyundia of Longview it will be a 7 year nightmare. We guess this will be on our credit reports for 7 years thanks to them....6 more years to go!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, THEY LIE!!! read more

When someone takes their car to a dealership they expect to have the problem solved. That was not the case for me in Hyundai of Longview. My car stopped running on December 26, 2016 and was towed to their location. I picked it up the next day and they stated the problem was solved. January 2, 2017 I drove from Austin to Jacksonville in order to pick up my daughters from the break. It broke down again and I had to bring it back to the same dealership since they did the job the first time. They took 2.5 weeks to get my car ready and they claimed it was due to a part they had to order. This summer, I went to have my car inspected and to my surprise, it did not pass because the computer (that was repaired in January) vin # did not match the car vin #. My local Hyundai contacted them and told them they needed to send the part for them to repair. They insisted that I return the car to Longview and they would make the replacement. The computer vin# was from a car that never left their lot and the 2 wks I was waiting was not for a new part but for them to figure out what was going on. Hyundai of Longview is dishonest and not worth your patronage, please consider Tyler or Shreveport. read more
