Available in two sizes, small and regular, the difference is just 40 cents. The milkshake is thick and creamy with chunks of chocolate sprinkles. How does that make any sense. Pretty sad because we were there for 4 nights and spent $20+ every single day there. We sadly will not be returning despite how amazing the coffee milkshakes are. Stopped by this Haagen-Dazs location around 11:30am this morning just to grab a bottled water as it was the closest place to me with one available. When I walked up to the counter, there was no associate in sight. After a short wait, someone finally appeared and her name tag said Tejaswi. She asked if I needed something, and I told her I just wanted to purchase a water. She grabbed one from the cooler behind the register, set it on the counter, and told me the total was $2.42. Straightforward, but the issue wasn't with the transaction....t was the customer service. Tejaswi was on a personal phone call the entire time, and not discreetly. The other person was on speakerphone, so I could hear both sides of the conversation while she rang me up. It felt awkward and unprofessional, like I was intruding on her personal time even though I was the customer. As I was wrapping up, a family walked up to order ice cream, and she continued the same phone conversation while attempting to serve them. Mind you, still holding the phone in her hand. Honestly, I couldn't believe what I experienced and witnessed. What kind of customer service is being allowed here? I get that not every shift is exciting, but the store had only been open for about 90 minutes -- this was 11:30am, not the end of a long day. Came to get ice cream around 4pm with my partner, I asked for a strawberry sorbet and the guy helping us started scooping mango, then after I restated I wanted the sorbet he did not wash the scoop, nor was he wearing gloves. When my partner got a scoop, we were given the melty part of the raspberry truffle. We came back a minute later and asked for a cup to put the cone in since it was melting and instead of handing it or anything, they placed it on the counter and left it. I understand how working retail and service is as I also do, however I would not deem that acceptable for food service or customer service. Haagen-Dazs is a favorite of my family in Minnesota. When we go to this mall naturally we stop in for a scoop. I've enjoyed this treat for years. This treat is tied to happy memories in this huge mall. Since the company headquarters is in Minneapolis I'm going to write review here. I want to say the store ice we had for Thanksgiving gave me a surprise. I should have taken a photo of what appeared to be a nut shell in my spoonful of Vanilla Ice Cream. Since a friend supplied the ice cream for dessert I shouldn't complain. I'm just glad I didn't break a tooth or swallow the sharp piece. Needless to say I won't buy this brand in the grocery store anymore. The only reason I came here is cause I have a gift card. If I didn't then I would not come here. It's WAY too expensive and you don't get enough for the prices they charge. I ordered a small midnight cookies and cream dazzler. No complaints about the ice cream. It was delicious and the hot fudge wasn't burnt like it was previously when I went to a different location. The reason I took stars off was because when I went to pay, I told them I have a gift card. The girl put it in as a credit card and it said my card was expired. So the manager comes to the register, same thing happens. I tell him repeatedly that it's a gift card and because I didn't say "store" gift card, they were entering the payment wrong. The card was in CLEAR VIEW and I even showed it to them and it took them WAY too long to figure out it was a store card. If you have different kinds of gift cards and YOU KNOW you have different kinds then you need to look at the damn card to see what it is. Was fine in the end but like, come on! Okay, if you have ever been to a Haagen Dazs, you know they serve premium ice cream for commensurately premium prices. However, considering that this location has the overhead imposed by the mall, the prices do not seem to be very high. I was pleased to find this location with a good selection of ice cream, even if it appears to always be busy! Perhaps this should be a five star rating, but because of the price, you do have high expectations. And they are well met. The service is a bit rushed, but they are helpful and of course indulge the "taste" of a new flavor. The cashier was having a bit of a time dealing with all the cards and customers unprepared to pay quickly. Nonetheless, I was cashed out before my ice cream melted. On Monday 1/18/2021 at 3 pm, I was waiting in line for 20 minutes... two girls came in front and went to the register. The cashier (who stated that she was the manager) began to take their order first, I politely stated that I was waiting for 20 minutes and she said oh well I don't know and ignored my statement as she continues to take the girls orders that had just got there. The girls were putting long orders for smoothies and I was not going to wait for another 20 minutes. Truly this is a place to satisfy my sweet tooth. I was here a little bit ago, and to say this place was well worth the price. Not only was the Irish cream shake delicious, but it filled me up. I have to say that what I like about this place was not only the friendly service, but the really rich tasting ice cream as well. I went there before they closed, about 30 minutes before, probably 9:30ish. They still had half the ice cream left in the freezers so I looked over choices & asked if they were still opened. One of the emloyee's had replied no, I know most places at the moa close at 10 & after reviewing their times I was disappointed I couldn't get my chocolate salted ice cream after leaving the mall today.
