I found a sharp piece of what appeared to be a nut shell in my spoonful of ice cream. 11/29/23

Haagen-Dazs is a favorite of my family in Minnesota. When we go to this mall naturally we stop in for a scoop. I've enjoyed this treat for years. This treat is tied to happy memories in this huge mall. Since the company headquarters is in Minneapolis I'm going to write review here. I want to say the store ice we had for Thanksgiving gave me a surprise. I should have taken a photo of what appeared to be a nut shell in my spoonful of Vanilla Ice Cream. Since a friend supplied the ice cream for dessert I shouldn't complain. I'm just glad I didn't break a tooth or swallow the sharp piece. Needless to say I won't buy this brand in the grocery store anymore. I'm not planning to visit Minnesota anymore in this lifetime so I'm not going to be eating this brand again if I can help it.

    Midnight Cookies & Cream Dazzler

The only reason I came here is cause I have a gift card. If I didn't then I would not come here. It's WAY too expensive and you don't get enough for the prices they charge. I ordered a small midnight cookies and cream dazzler. No complaints about the ice cream. It was delicious and the hot fudge wasn't burnt like it was previously when I went to a different location. The reason I took stars off was because when I went to pay, I told them I have a gift card. The girl put it in as a credit card and it said my card was expired. So the manager comes to the register, same thing happens. I tell him repeatedly that it's a gift card and because I didn't say "store" gift card, they were entering the payment wrong. The card was in CLEAR VIEW and I even showed it to them and it took them WAY too long to figure out it was a store card. If you have different kinds of gift cards and YOU KNOW you have different kinds then you need to look at the damn card to see what it is. Was fine in the end but like, come on! Know how to do your job!

    Chocolate milkshake

Not the just the ice creams, the milkshakes here are also out of the world. The chocolate milk shake is a sinful desire - plenty of calories to acquire but too amazing to resist. Available in two sizes, small and regular, the difference is just 40 cents. The milkshake is thick and creamy with chunks of chocolate sprinkles. I couldn't have it in one go and saved some for the next morning. It tasted good even then. Thumbs up!!!!

A small mall stall that has it all. Ice cream, gelato, etc in all the standard HD flavors. Always tastes great but carries a steep price tag. Small cup of stracchiata gelato was 4 and a half beans. Excellent gelato, but I had some buyers remorse over the price...

Creamy, rich, just delicious! I got the caramel-cone and raspberry white chocolate truffle on a waffle cone. The caramel was just a tad bit too sweet but the raspberry one was perfect! It had a lot of chewy chocolate. Usually icecream with chocolate would be hard but this one was really soft and delish! The waffle cone was also so goood! Maybe because I'm so used to Izzys and Milkjam this seemed super cheap (lol but their scoops are much prettier and bigger..). Anyway I love icecream and & love Haagen-Dazs (:

These are only some of the sundaes they have there are much more

Yuck, terrible taste with probably too high of a fat content. Go to Ben & Jerry's instead.

Customer service was disappointing…read more When ordering, I specifically asked for a kid-friendly drink recommendation and was given a strawberry fruit tea with popping boba. It ended up tasting extremely bitter--more like strong black tea than anything strawberry. Paying $7 for a drink my kids wouldn't even touch felt like a waste. I went back to ask if they could make it sweeter or offer a different drink. I wasn't asking for a refund, just a chance to have a better experience. They added sweetener but it still tasted very bitter and said their policy doesn't allow to change drinks. To make things worse, staff were speaking to each other in another language right in front of me instead of communicating directly (when they both can speak perfect english), which felt unprofessional. Overall, disappointing experience and not very accommodating to customers.

They have a wide variety of drinks and toppings and what makes them special is they offer fresh pressed sugarcane and if you have never had sugarcane I highly recommend, it is a refreshing sweet treat. You will feel like you are on the streets of Asia. They only have cold cut and shredded chicken options for banh mi or you could get the special which has cold cut and shredded chicken which is what I got. There was not a lot of shredded chicken in it but it was a really good banh mi. The flavors were there and the bread was crispy. No complaints. They offered milk substitutes for my friend who is lactose intolerant. Prices are pretty decent here. Banh mi is around $8 which is pretty standard but it's a really good banh mi. Drinks are also around $7-$8 depending on what you get. We went right after tet and we saw they had these cute reusable cups there, they said the promo was over but they gave us these cups for free since we bought enough. There is not much seating here, most people seemed to just pick up to go but our group likes to sit here and talk and it's a nice ambiance for it. I'm hoping if they get more popular they can expand their seating more but it's not necessary. If you are looking for a good banh mi and good boba come here!

I have been eyeing visiting this Nautical Bowls location in Eagan for a while. Last year, a Yelp…read moreexperience had me visit the location in Edina. I knew that I would enjoy a smoothie bowl here. This location is in a plaza. It's a few doors down from Papa John's, where I often get pizza the day after the Minnesota Wild win a game. I like 50% off large pizzas. There is plenty of parking at this plaza. I came here last month to pick up a pizza. I parked in front of Papa John's, but I was early for my pizza pickup. Instead, I killed some time heading over to this Nautical Bowls. It was surprisingly busy on an early Wednesday evening when I walked in. There was one customer ahead of me, which allowed me to take some time looking at the menu. The man behind the counter took one look at my Marc-André Fleury t- shirt that I was wearing, commemorating his 1000th game, with my Minnesota Wild front-zip hoodie over it, and commented on how he liked my outfit. It's good when you find a fellow hockey fan. It's even better when he's a Wild fan. I like that the bowls here are plant-based, gluten-free, and dairy-free. It's nice keeping things simple. I got the sunrise bowl. It had blue majik, pitaya, granola, banana, strawberries, and honey. I got the cruiser size, which was 16 ounces. I paid with a credit card. Bowls are on the pricier side compared to my usual smoothie bowl place, Bliss Acai. However, it's so much closer when I'm staying in either Bloomington or Eagan to get here. I paid with a credit card. Done! He went ahead with preparing my bowl. I took photos and looked around as I waited. I ended up signing up for loyalty rewards. I look forward to getting a free bowl someday. Goals! The man and I had a good chat about the Wild. He asked me about the "new Russian." No one can say his last name. It has more letters than my full name! His first name is Marat. It's much easier to say. He can win faceoffs and skates well. He agreed with me. We both didn't think that the Wild would make the playoffs. Sadly, we were right. There's always next year. He handed me my sunrise bowl. It looked yummy and pretty. I wished him a good evening, took a photo of my smoothie bowl, and headed to my vehicle. I dropped off my bowl and hit Papa John's to pick up dinner. I got to my hotel room and placed my smoothie bowl in the freezer while I had some pizza. I had my bowl for dessert. It was yummy and hit the spot. I love fruit. The banana and strawberry slices were so fresh. The blue majik as the smoothie base was refreshing and creamy. The granola and pitaya (dragon fruit) provided textures that made this bowl enjoyable to devour. I'd get it again. I had a wonderful experience. If you want a refreshing, healthier dessert option, get a bowl from Nautical Bowls. (159)

It allowed me to take a look at the other businesses in this plaza as I waited. Two doors down from it is North Country Nutrition (NCN). I wondered whether it was similar to Zeev's Nutrition Studio that I typically go to in Toronto. Sure enough, I did some research online while killing time at the drive-thru, and it had healthy shakes and drinks. Cool! On Saturday morning, I decided to check out NCN. I found a parking spot steps away from the store and backed into it. I was the only customer at the store at around 10 am. The woman, who later introduced herself as Liz, was so friendly and warm. I loved the cozy vibes that this place had, from the couch with cute pillows and other Christmas decorations, to the northern vibes that you feel with canoe paddles and loons. We both ended up sharing where we are from. She's originally from Alexandria, which is roughly a 2.5-hour drive north of the Twin Cities. I indicated that I knew where it was when I used to drive between Rochester and Winnipeg. I cut through it. She loved that I knew where she grew up. The coziness comes from living by water, which shows. She was great explaining her shakes and teas. I am a tea person. I saw watermelon Jolly Rancher as a cold tea. I knew that I wanted it. So, she made me one. It was in a mega format that I'm used to. It was just over $5, which is reasonable. I paid with a credit card. It was easy. I tapped and was done. I thanked her for my drink and headed to my car. I sipped my watermelon Jolly Rancher tea throughout the day. It does taste like the candy, minus the sugar. The flavours were yummy. I was a happy camper. I am glad that I discovered NCN. It takes five minutes to drive over here from the hotel, which I love. The parking lot is small, but I managed to find a spot just fine. I wish that I had found it sooner on this trip. I'll need to return and try more drinks. This place closes at 4 pm most days. It's also closed on Sundays. (440)

Both my shake and tea were so good -- the tea especially though..YUMM!! I was given a punch card while paying, which was nice because I'll definitely be back soon!!
