First of all Pat is just so cool. I buy primarily the lemon and chocolate Italian ices. Ok, I'm 66…read more I've had ices since the 60s. Never have I tasted such rich lemon and chocolate. There are bits of lemon in the lemon ices and the chocolate reminds me of the Lindt 70% dark chocolate I truffles Iove. I get quarts at a time. Before they close the store for the winter I make sure to stock up. So, I have lemon ice for Christmas desert! I got online to see if what my wife told me she suspected is true. She said she thought The Little Sweet Shoppe did not open this Summer. I am beside myself. I'm hoping she's mistaken. Sorry Corona Lemon Ice King. Your product doesn't hold a candle to what they have. I think it will be impossible to find such great ices anywhere else. Just one little thing to remedy. Someone posted a 1 review. Some asinine remark about 'vegan'. Moron. I hope all is ok Pat. You and your wonderful place will be missed.

I also got a sample of the salted caramel vegan ice cream and it was delicious, but a little too heavy for what I wanted that day. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Super welcoming and nice! They have tons of candy and unique flavors of their ice creams and sorbets that I would definitely come back for!

They are crowded and seating will take a while. They also take a while to get the ice cream and more. But that is because they are so busy and you can just enjoy your time

Since we were in Forest Hills, Queens, and I had never been here, we chose to go to Eddie's. This place is really good, with an extensive menu of desserts ranging from soda floats to banana splits and many other little treats. A sweet lover's paradise. Personally, when it comes to ice cream or sweets, I tend to keep it simple. Give me a good vanilla ice cream scoop and I am a happy person. Give me a great ice cream scoop and I am even happier. Let's just say I left this place very satisfied. I had my basic yet delicious ice cream scoops. Yum. I am currently following a strict diet regimen for one more month, but after that, I will definitely come back for some of their tasty ice cream. My son, wife, and friends were also enjoying their sweets. This is a great place. They have seats, but it gets really busy and there is usually a bit of a wait. Yet that is not a bad thing. It shows how popular the place is. If you are looking for sweets, come check this place out.

I've tried almost everything on the menu, and honestly, every dish has been delicious. You can…read morereally taste the care and quality that goes into the food. The soy sauce is made from scratch by Jiro, which is such a special touch and speaks to the attention to detail. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and very family-friendly. My kids are obsessed with the sushi rolls, fries with seaweed, and the unagi bowl--they ask to come back all the time. The Hojicha Strawberry drink is unique and absolutely worth trying. Personally, I love the Hojicha Latte even more than a Matcha Latte. Everything feels thoughtfully made and consistently excellent. We eat here at least once a week, and it has become our favorite restaurant in the area. We're already looking forward to enjoying their ice cream this summer. Highly recommend!

I'll go in order chronologically…read more Earlier in the day, I tried the hojicha strawberry latte. The strawberry part was more like a jam, so it was a little sweet for me, but overall a decent drink. I would have preferred crushed strawberries, though. Later, I came back for dinner at the tail end of the day. I was leaning towards the beef curry bowl because I like bolder flavors, but the karaage chicken is a hit here, so I ordered that in bowl form. First off, all the contents were very fresh! The chicken pieces were crisp and tasty. The burdock on the side had a smoky umami that was quite nice - it was the best of the 3 sides - and the spicy mayo was on point. Still, I think I would have gone with the curry given my taste buds, but overall the karaage bowl is a solid choice. Lastly, while the container looks small in circumference, it is taller than other takeout containers, so the portions are really about the same as any other restaurant. The nori fries were subtle in flavor but the nori still made its presence known. All in all it was a great experience. The owners are very nice, also. I will go back for the curry and yakiniku, too.
