Just recently moved back to the area. My step son really needed a haircut for Christmas, so I decided to give this place a try. We had a lot of errands to run and needed a haircut quick. I'm very picky when it comes to barbers, so I was a bit hesitant to try a new place, but our usual barber is over 20 miles away. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. Today was my first time going to IBarber and i had the worst experience ever. The barber who cut my hair seemed unprofessional and was not very communicative. This guy with tattoos on his hand. Nice enough people, but I expected a Barber and had a cosmetologist cut my hair. I didn't feel like she was hearing what I wanted, and was not very happy with the result. Updating my previous 5 star review- this barber shop is great if you love disorganization and a half ass job. The only reason it gets 2 stars is the consistency in getting let down each and every time after my first and last "positive" impression. Also because my hair didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would this last time, by someone who at first didn't want to cut my hair, I couldn't understand their dialect and had to have the only other barber working do a few areas of my cut. Also, no shave! None. A blinded stylist at Supercuts would have made me feel more comfortable to put it nicely. New barbers coming in and out, they don't take appointments seriously, and best of all I don't think the lady who was filling in for the owner this past Monday even has her cosmetology credentials. She literally took almost 80 minutes to do what the other barber did on 3 other customers and I waited from start to finish almost 2 hours. It was my fault for listening to their multiple excuses instead of walking out (even though I called ahead, and was 5 minutes early for my appointment). I tend to give business multiple chances to redeem themselves but enough is enough. Anyways, my hair grows fast so I let bygones be bygones. They don't appreciate returning customers and you can tell their business infrastructure is in shambles on an internal level. I They have to correct this foundation before offering any type of services. I still tipped the lady, remained courteous and left unaffected by it only because I knew I would take the time to help them- and I hope they take this seriously. It irks me to give them even two stars, but I know how damaging these reviews are to businesses and 1 star just wouldn't be fair. I work in Brand/Business optimization and let's just say, this business has a long way to go before they are even near the functioning level of novice, let alone optimal. This review is not to persuade, it's to warn and allow people to be prepared if they want to give iBarber their business. I was reluctant to have a female barber cause ive never been 100% satisfied with previous female barbers for whatever reason they didn't get the cut right, I had to keep telling them to do what i wanted. All i told tina was a zero taper, keep the top as long as possible. Trim the beard and she did just that. She's good at what she does. For the rates their charging its a solid haircut. Needed a barber close to work and I'm so glad I found this place. Brian is like the #SaltBae of barbers... Haha. He really takes his time and pays attention to the details of your hair as if it were a work of art. For the price, you can't beat what you get: a cut, hot towel, and a razor shave. If you're lucky, you'll get a quick electric back massage, too. I had one of the girls cut my hair once and she was good, but she didn't provide a razor shave and cut my hair shorter than I'd like.
