I used Peasley transfer and storage to move me. They broke several items that were from my grandmother in Germany pre-war.. I understand that things happen when they ask me for a breakdown of all the items I was very fair in my ask! Their offer 52.50! Beyond heartless it's a slap in my face and now instead of a fair settlement beyond the loss of the items I have to take them to court?? When will we hold companies and insurance companies responsible! I would NEVER recommend them! read more

Very disappointing experience. Several of my furniture items are chipped, scratched and broken. Inexperienced staff with little care. By disassembling and reassembling my basically new king bed they stripped all the bolts and were dishonest by not owning up to it before they charged us. My husband spent hours replacing every single bolt by hand. Some will never come out, making it impossible to fully disassemble again. We were only given $200 to "cover" at least a thousand dollars in damages. My advice- Pay a couple hundred dollars more for a more well known business! read more

One of the worst moving co. experiences I've ever had. Had a pickup scheduled for 6/25. Explained that I am on chemo & need addl Covid precautions. Moving truck arrived with 3 unvaccinated and unmasked movers. Called Peasley office to tell them that I did not feel safe with this crew bc you know I'm on chemo. Dispatcher yelled at me about how the vaccine is 'poison' and then as I was on the phone with her the moving van just pulled away. I was less than a week away from moving cross country. I tried to reschedule the pickup and discovered that they literally have zero vaccinated movers. They finally put a team together one week later of men in their 50s and 60s apparently all front office guys. What I didn't realize is that the one-week delay meant my items didn't get picked up until three weeks later--two weeks after the original date. I checked in often to get a delivery estimate and was told they would arrive on or before 7/20. On 7/19 I contacted them again to ask what time the items would be delivered and then I was told they had just been picked up to travel cross country and there was no delivery window. I finally tracked down the local moving company doing the final delivery and they couldn't fit me in until mid-August. On top of the delay, I had to extend my storage locker rental and find an accessible airbnb for me and my dog past 7/21 but had to do this with one day's notice. I'm disabled and these extra costs are killing me. Also, my own furniture is accessible to my disabilities, and includes a lot of assistive devices. It is almost impossible to find an accessible Airbnb rental in general. I had to pay the local moving company an extra $400 to have my items delivered before I go out of town. Did I mention I'm going through chemo? Please don't patronize this company. Attached is a copy of the email setting my original delivery window. This was hell. I've asked them to help me pay for the unexpected costs and they gave me a 1800 no for Allied claims. And by the way, my $500 desk is destroyed. read more

I had some Costco furniture delivered by Peasley Transfer & Storage this past Friday. Had several updates via phone regarding the delivery options and date and they worked with my schedule. The crew was right on time and quick to get everything inside; Cisco and Robert were great. One piece of furniture was damaged in the box (probably when packed as the exterior of the box was undamaged) but Costco took care of it. I hope the same crew delivers the replacement piece- they were very professional. read more

This Review is about their storage facility only! They are cheaper than everyone in town but for a reason, I am thinking the 15 dollars less a month is not worth it. The units are very old, it is all gravel, and critters live underneath the units! Not kidding as I am posting a photo. I don't think this is the place to put real valuables as I hear they get break ins here as well. A little skeptical but we prepaid and are into a unit for a couple months. I just hope the critters are not inside the units but they do live underneath them! read more

I would not recommend them for a household move. We have moved households several times in the last few years and this recent move was sub par. The crew lead and crew were not well trained which resulted in damaged items. These items had been successfully moved previously. Did not wrap furniture until we requested it, ignored warning about moving a full toolbox resulting in it crashing to the ground, etc. On top of the poor moving techniques, the final cost was 50 percent higher than the estimate. This company does not provide the level of service one would expect from a national affiliate. read more

Our floors were re-finished and thus we needed all of the heavy items (including a baby grand piano) moved into storage while the tradesmen could do their work. Peasley's was a joy to work with. Very helpful and friendly on the phone. The workers were courteous and friendly as well. They clearly knew their jobs as well. And everything was on time as promised. The crew that moved me across the valley was well trained, careful and organized. I had nothing damaged, missing or any problems. Having used other movers recently I can state with confidence that I would choose Peasley again. I would give them the full five stars but like any team they are held back by the office staff whose lackluster customer attention had me walk out the door after they let me stand at the front counter. Review Amendment: After I left my Yelp review, Peasley worked to deliver my items in a timely manner. Items delivered on Aug 22. .................................................. Working with Peasley Transfer and Storage has been a terrible experience that I highly regret. When I hired them I thought I was setting myself up to work with an experienced, professional company that had the interest of the customer at heart--I was wrong. The process started out smoothly. I had a professional, in-house assessment by S.E. Slye, one of Peasley's relocation consultants, and her actions were just that--sly. She came across as knowing her stuff, assessed my items, and gave me an estimate. I was moving from Boise, ID to San Francisco, CA and S.E. told me that it would be better and more cost effective for me to store my items in Boise--essentially saving me nearly $1,000 compared to housing them in San Francisco. Since Peasley is associated with Allied Moving, a nationally recognized company, I trusted them. BIG MISTAKE. I moved on the 5th, and I had them pick up my items on the 4th. I was told that if I stored in Boise, the items would GET THERE 2 weeks (at MAX) from the date I called with my new address. The movers came, packed my items, and I thought I was in the clear for a smooth delivery. I was sorely surprised. I found an apartment and signed my lease in San Francisco on August 9th. I called the morning of August 10th to tell Peasley Transfer and Storage that I wanted my items delivered. Given the 2-week window, the latest I should have received them was August 24th. This would have worked out perfectly since I had corporate housing until the 23rd. Once I called, I was given the runaround. I was told by Beth Rice, another relocation consultant, that my items wouldn't even LOAD until 2 weeks from the date I called. The ETA I was given for arrival of my items was August 23-September 9th. SEPTEMBER 9th! Ridiculous and a full MONTH from when I called with my address. When I first called, Beth Rice told me that I was not the first person who had been misinformed about delivery dates by S.E. Slye. Apparently, this had happened a few times before--unprofessional to say the least. Not surprisingly, Ms. Rice later denied saying this and insisted that I had been given correct instruction from the start. Ms. Rice told me that my items couldn't get to me until they were loaded, which would now take 2 weeks. Considering that I moved 10 hours away, I found it unbelievable that my items would take a FULL MONTH to get to me. This is something I would never have signed up for. I called again the next day, and was told by the person who answered the phone that they were short staffed and she was overwhelmed. She informed me that she'd blanked on a delivery and that, had she thought of it, my items could have been on a truck that had departed for California earlier that morning. What she laughed off I found frustrating. What a Peasley employee saw as a joke completely affected my life--I was paying for a rental I couldn't occupy (they had my bed and all of my furnishings in storage), I was becoming increasingly stressed before starting a new job, and what could have been a smooth move had become a headache. Peasley made my move a terrible experience, and completely broke my trust. I did my research, but it's hard to know until you experience a move yourself. I'm writing this letter to complain about terrible service and hope that it serves as a warning to others. I have yet to find out when my items will get to me. Peasley looked into sending them in pods (clearly because they know they're at fault and worried about repercussions), but they told me that it was too expensive. Since this is a case where they should eat the cost--as it's their fault that my items area arriving later than promised--it's frustrating that they're still holding my items. To add insult to injury, I am having to pay for storage until the items are loaded. While I requested my items shipped on the 10th, I have to pay for storage until the day they are moved. This means potentially paying for 4 weeks of storage when I only required one week. At this point, I highly regret not going with another moving company. I was also told I could "pick up my stuff" or have another company transport it, but since I'm not in Boise that's impossible and would just lead to additional cost. The entire process with Peasley Transfer and Storage has been one giant headache that I regret. I will not be using them ever again and caution others against their services. read more

I was so impressed when Peasley moved us across the valley three years ago, with their care, concern and willingness to work with us. I had a lot of antiques and breakables, and they treated them with respect, as if they were their own. But this year when I called them to ask about moving a few pieces of our furniture while we got new carpet, their quote was outrageous. Literally three times as much as the next quote. Please do not use this moving company. Even though they are affiliated with Allied Moving, they are not up to the standards of that nationally known company. The administrative staff is uncommunicative and nonresponsive. I had to call them numerous times in order to get any information at all. The actual movers were illiterate and rude. They broke out plasma TV before it even got out of the house. Then they lied about breaking it and said it was that way when they came. They wrapped a piece of plastic from our patio set in a special mirror box that we paid extra for and put the expensive mirror we wanted in the box in paper. They took our most expensive piece of furniture - a china cabinet - and just threw the glass doors inside the cabinet to flop around for over 1600 miles.
