Last April my husband and I decided to sell our home in Idaho and have one built in Arizona. My husband is retired military so we had been used to not having to worry about organizing our personal moves, this was to be our first attempt at it. I called a few different companies to get quotes and settled with Mesa Moving in Boise, a United Van Lines Company. From the initial phone call to the moment the last piece of furniture was carried into our new home, we experienced some of the best Customer Service ever. Due to some personal issues and delays in the construction, the storage process lasted a lot longer than originally planned. A couple of times we had to get a few of the items out of storage plus add a few more containers. They accommodated our every need with no additional charge. When the day came for our items to arrive at our home in AZ, everything went off as planned. The goods arrived on time and much to my surprise only one person (the driver) moved all the items in by himself. His name is Mike, he's a rock star & I watched in amazement at the ease and care he used with handling each item. The whole process from beginning to end exceeded our expectations. Every phone call or concern was addressed promptly and professionally with an extra dose of friendliness and care. Everyone at Mesa Moving that we dealt with was kind and helpful. Two people that deserve extra special praise are Scott Fackrell (Mgr.) and Maegan Schiess (moving coordinator). Both were exceptional at their jobs and constantly kept me informed, accommodated every need and genuinely cared about about every detail. The costs involved were more than fair but the services provided went above and beyond. Unethical and unprofessional. Before my move, the salesman was very good at assuring me that my move, including a piano, would be treated with the same care that they would treat their own possessions. When they tried to deliver the piano, they damaged it (over $600), left it the garage, and told me to figure it out on my own. They also damaged other items, marked up the walls, and could have cared less about my possessions, because they weren't their possessions. When I tried to get reimbursed for completing what they agreed to do, they said that it was "impractical" and would neither pay for the other mover (using no specialized equipment) nor refund even a portion of what I paid for the move (over $10,000). And, the so helpful salesman, who convinced me to use Mesa? He's never returned any of my calls. Mesa is connected with United Van Lines and they're both unprofessional and unethical. When you pay for a service, you expect to get that service, which neither Mesa nor United Van Lines completed. Beware of smooth talking salesmen. I would never use either company, again. And, if I could, then I would rate them as having minus "stars", because they have no ethics, caring more about money, then the customer. read more

I have nothing but the highest praise for the way my move was handled from start to finish by Mesa Moving & Storage. Communication was excellent, the team showed up on time and took great care to protect my home from damage. The crew chief (Pat) and team members (Markques, Paris, and Antoine) were professional, courteous, upbeat and cheerful and they went above & beyond the call of duty in order to make what might have been a stressful move stress free. Noting was dinged, damaged, or lost and the crew disassembled and reassembled furniture expertly at both ends. Exceptional Tetris skills by Gus, Robbie & Dylan. After having a horrible cross-town moving experience w another company, I was anxious and nervous. These three protected my antique furniture w the pads and shrink wrap I provided. They used the tarp straps and cardboard I provided and they took great care to use every square inch of the Zippy shell container. Exceptional loaders who were quick and careful.
