I took in my 2009 Tahoe & he would keep me updated on what I brought it in for and issues that popped up that I didn't know about. Some pretty serious that I would have been stranded if it failed out on the road. Always consulting before doing any work. Igor and his team are more than mechanics; they are Car Advisors. For me, it boils down to this: 1. They explain exactly what is wrong with the vehicle 2. They give a true labor cost for the repair based on ACTUAL work, not the labor guide estimates. Sky high labor rates are based on inflated estimates, and do not take into account the advances of modular replacement parts. ID Auto DOES NOT follow this practice. 3. They give true maintenance advice - I'd rather spend $70 for annual maintenance than $600 for replacement every 3 years. Bottom line, they build relationships, not transactions and work cues. They truly deliver value for money and best of all, are a true resource in the auto business. read more

After getting several quotes to have the air conditioning compressor replaced in my Honda CRV, upon the recommendation of a business inWaukegan and the very positive reviews online, I scheduled an appointment with ID Auto. Igor, the owner and his mechanics gave the car a once over and replaced the compressor, as well as fixing several steering and suspension issues all for less than my quotes had been for the compressor alone. Pricing is more than fair, the work done when he says, and I was impressed with his honesty. It is clear from the 30-40 cars behind his business that he chooses to make his margins from volume and referrals than by over charging and doing work that really isn't needed. With so many rip off garages around, it is a breath of fresh air to go into a business and know you will be greeted by an honest business owner, given a fair price and not have to bring your vehicle back because ID Auto fixes it right the first time! I have told several people about ID Auto and know they will be happy when they take their vehicles there for service. I intend to take my car back as well as our van for service.
