I Do Wedding Cakes was our venue's top preferred vendor for bakeries, and after my experience with them, I can see why. We first went on their website to see what style we wanted for our cake, and they also provided a long list of flavors and fillings. I emailed them to set up a cake tasting, and they mentioned that their next availability would be a month out. I was surprised that it was so far out, but it's because they are VERY popular. We met with Debbie & Elisha in person and they provided some of their most popular cakes for tasting. We swapped one out to try their tiramisu flavor, but we ended up sticking with their most popular flavors. They were very flexible with us having 3 different flavors for our cake, which was greatly appreciated as I was being very indecisive. What I really loved about them is that they made sure that everything was taken care of after our tasting was done. The cake was delivered to our venue with no issues, and many of our guests complimented on how great it tasted. I'm really glad that we didn't need to shop around to check out other dessert vendors, and they made it so easy for us to check this off our list. I ordered my son's birthday cake from here this past Saturday and it was absolutely incredible! This was the first time we ordered a cake from here. I've drove past it a hundred times and it always looked so cute with its displays. I usually get my cakes from a friend who likes to make cakes on the side however she was unavailable and out of town for my son's birthday so this was the first time we were going to haveI have to go buy the cake somewhere else. And while I did look at Safeway and Nob Hill. I really wanted to support a local business. I kind of went here on a whim a couple weeks before my son's birthday party was planned. They were able to fit me in between several wedding cakes, they were making that day and make this beautiful cake. All I had to do was buy some cake toppers because they did not have time to make an elaborate cake because I waited too long. The process was easy they gave me a quote. I told them how many kids and people I was expecting and payment was easy. Now let's talk about the good part. The actual cake looked amazing better than I pictured in my head. And the taste was absolutely incredible. We did a simple strawberry cake with a strawberry mousse, and I believe strawberry jam. It was unreal!! it wasn't artificially sweet like some cakes can be with strawberry flavoring, but subtle moist, and absolutely incredible! I know most adults don't necessarily eat cake when they're at a birthday party, but I can tell you every adult at my son's birthday party ate a slice and was blown away. I used this bakery twice, for my daughter's July birthday cake. Last year, the cake was stunning, and the kids decimated it so fast, I did not even get to taste it. It was 8 inches and they ate the whole thing down to the plate! This year, she asked if we could have the exact same cake and design. They were able to replicate it, and worked with me to get it delivered a half day earlier than I had originally ordered. This year I made sure to try it! No WONDER they ate it all. It was just as delicious as it was beautiful. I really can't rave enough about how great a job they did, and how special it made my daughter feel on her 16th and 17th birthdays. If a bunch of teens say it's good- I think you can trust that it's good! This cake was chocolate with a chocolate filling, not sure what it was but it had the consistency of mousse or whipped cream, almost. Very light and perfect. Very happy groom here! My spouse and I just got married at Boulder Ridge this weekend and are still on cloud 9 from our amazing wedding cake!! We worked closely with Debbie and Elisha to try their flavors and design the cake. The appointment we had was efficient and dare I say the most fun vendor appointment of our wedding planning journey! We went with a 3-tier cake with all the flavors that we love: a) chocolate mousse b) vanilla hazelnut and c) tuxedo cappuccino. There were so many different flavors to choose from, but we ended up going with a vanilla cake guava filling AND a tuxedo (chocolate/vanilla cake) with cookies and cream filling. We ordered a small 6 inch guava cake for us to cut, one full guava sheet cake and a half sheet cake of the tuxedo cookies & cream. The cake was delicious and not too sweet, which we loved. My husband and I attended a cake tasting in April for our September wedding, since I Do was our venue's preferred cake vendor. I was very excited when I read previous reviews that mentioned guava cake, as I'd been wanting a guava wedding cake. We ended up choosing a vanilla/guava jam and mousse cake for our cutting cake and a full tuxedo sheet cake. The guests really enjoyed the wedding cakes. Sometimes it did take awhile for I Do to get back to us when we had questions but it's understandable since they get very busy during wedding season. I would recommend I Do for wedding cakes or other special occasions where there is cake. read more

We are absolutely thrilled Debbie baked our wedding cake! She created a stunning 3-tier round cake with Chantilly icing: lemon with lemon filling on top, chocolate with truffle filling in the middle, and vanilla with her signature Picasso filling on the bottom. All the flavors were delicious, but the Picasso was hands-down our favorite. The cake was light, fluffy, and clearly made with talent and care. Debbie went above and beyond offering to reinforce our cake toppers with glued sticks for added stability. Note that we did use our own succulent and trimmings on the cake, and we were grateful to have the option to do this. We also really appreciated the chance to visit her HQ and taste samples before making our final decisions. Her shop is charming and thoughtfully arranged, showcasing a variety of cake bases, real cake examples, and extra accessories available for purchase--like toasting glasses and cake toppers. I appreciate the ability to customize the takings (there are standard pairings and others you can add on for an additional cost). It was affordable and nice to be able to increase the number of tasting participants as well. This created a great opportunity to engage more of my family on the process. Once at the tasting, the room/store front and displays are filled with samples of the great work Debbie does! even with a late night meeting, everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. The cake filing flavors were so good. Nice and distinct while not over powering the cake itself. Being able to select from Chantilly, buttercream and fondant was really great. Makes picking a cake a breeze! On the day of our wedding, the cake was gorgeous!! It was exactly as we picked and we had multiple guests tell us that the cake was the best they've ever had at a wedding! With multiple flavors and multiple guests commending the same thing, it was great to know that there is consistency between the flavors and cake. We picked, vanilla cake with guava for our base layer, lemon with lemon cream for the second, and the yummy Picasso cake for the top. We had a wedding of 116 people and hardly any left over cake! Everyone enjoyed it and ate a slice or two. We even had couple slices to enjoy the next few days after our wedding. I am really not a cake person to begin with but I loved our taste testing cakes and absolutely loved our final wedding cake which tasted just as great as our taste testing day. We did a 3 tiered cake - 2 tiers with strawberry and 1 tier with lemon. Both were fabulous! I loved the fresh strawberries in the strawberry layers. The buttercream was perfect as well, really not too sugary sweet. The strawberry and lemon cake were each moist and flavorful. I Do is the included cake baker with Wedgewood Weddings at Eagle Ridge where we had out wedding this year in April. I can't say enough good things about them! All of the cake flavors were amazing. We requested an additional 4 flavors on top of the 4 they normally include. Honestly, all were delicious. We'd tried a few other cake places beforehand and all had at least one flavor that were not as good or were easy to say no to. But I Do only had good flavors! Guests all loved the cake and said it was delicious. We had 3 tiers, the largest bottom tier was vanilla cake with strawberry and cream filling; middle tier was lemon cake with raspberry filling; smallest top tier was chocolate cake with chocolate and raspberry filling. All three were phenomenal! We should've made the chocolate tier one of the large ones though. Guests all wanted more of it and we ran out pretty quickly! The cake was also beautiful. We shared a photo with a lot of real flowers on it and she recreated it wonderfully. I'm so happy with them and recommend them to everyone! Just had our wedding last week! When I was at the tasting I didn't think too much of it, but maybe the samples were old. But I am also kind of picky about cakes and only like cold cakes. Anywho, they're open late which is awesome as they can accommodate for people's work schedules. All of the employees are very friendly as well! They have a lot of varieties for cakes and can pretty much do anything by you want. We got a 4 tier cake with a different flavor for each. Unfortunately on the wedding day we were a bit drunk so we didn't get to try any on that day. I remember during the tasting that the chocolate cake was superb. I also ordered banana cake which I didn't get to try which is very sad. I didn't think I'd like the strawberry cream cake that much but we received some leftover from the wedding and even now (it's probably a week old at this point), it still tastes great and remains moist. Got a lot of comments from wedding guests that the cake was great, not too sweet. And the chocolate cake I liked so much... those who got to try it enjoyed it as well. :(. Hopefully my cousin who's having a wedgewood wedding soon also gets a cake from here, and I get to eat it. read more

My MIL booked a cake tasting and we had the pleasure to be helped by Alicia. She was able to help guide us towards the direction we wanted with our cake and helped us find the "best" cake flavored we enjoyed and had fun mix matching some, too! I really enjoyed the lemon, hazelnut and guava filling. The cakes were very moist and the filling's sweetness wasn't too overpowering. We were supposed to get a follow up email a week prior (I'm guessing to get things confirmed) but we never got that - however, Alicia did doodle out what our cake would look like and went over flower placements and design and we OK'd that after the cake tasting. The cake looked exactly like how we wanted it. Flower placement could have been a bit "more" but that had nothing to do with the cake establishment. The simplicity of the cake was a beauty on its own, next to the lovely hard working Debbie and Alicia. I'm glad we got to do this cake tasting because there was none left for us after our big day! My sister and son share a birthday. My sister has done their birthday cake together forever. So for his 6th birthday she got him an APEX themed birthday cake as well as an almond cake. These cake were delicious. Some cake are beautiful, but dry or not flavorful. This was beautiful, delicious, and absolutely everything we wanted and more. My son's face lit up seeing his cake! We picked "I Do" Wedding Cakes because their cakes tasted moist and flavor was quite good. The cake was delivered on the day of the wedding timely. However, the Bride and Groom chose their "last name" as their cake topper. For example, "Mr. & Mrs. ______". The Bride and Groom's last name was MISSPELLED!!!! All of our family and friends were talking about it; how EMBARRASSING!!! Being in the wedding industry means paying attention to details. Therefore, I cannot recommend this business if you're not going to pay attention to details. Not only that, the owners of the bakery have the same last name as the groom's last name.
