I've tried a few places around LA and never felt completely satisfied with extensions. LOL What I loved: Her salon is clean, cute and cozy. Before we started, Junko took some time to understand what I wanted and had recommendations based on my eye shape. She is so gentle half the time I didn't even know if she was actually doing anything! I fell into the deepest lash nap EVER. Did not feel any fumes at all. My eyes weren't red or irritated even after laying there for almost 2.5 hours. Usually other salons have told me I can't get my lashes wet for 24 hours but her method/glue dries within 5-6 hours. So convenient! My lashes are voluminous yet natural looking and feel SOOOO weightless. Junko herself is so sweet and personable. I felt like I was just hanging out with a friend. For the investment, it honestly was a lot for me - someone who has never been loyal to a beauty service like this - but after the whole experience I feel it was 100% worth it!!!!! I've been coming to Junko for over a couple years now, and she always does such an amazing job. I have a lot of allergies and sensitivities to chemicals in beauty products, but I trust Junko and know she goes to great lengths to ensure that the ingredients in her products (especially the glue) are safe and high-quality. I respect that she listens to what I want and delivers, while at the same time I value her candor to kindly offer advice or what lashes would work best given my natural lash health at the time. I had a great experience! Junko is sweet and very skilled. I've had my lashes on for 2 weeks now and they still look great. I've scheduled an appointment for a fill at 3.5 weeks. This is a bit of a splurge for me financially but I must say, for the quality, her skills and the fancy pants Beverly Hills location, the price is very reasonable. There are cheaper places but you have to go more often for fills so it's not actually cheaper. I have not worn any eye makeup since getting my lashes and it has made getting ready SO quick. FYI, if you want to continue wearing eyeliner and shadow with your lashes, you do have to be very careful with application and removal as it can shorten the life of your lashes. You also have to be more careful washing your face. I just use a washcloth now. When you go to your appointment, you can park next to Crate and Barrel for a free 2 hours which is great. My first appointment took just less than 2 hrs so I didn't have to pay for any parking which was great. read more

Junko is happy-go-lucky and fun to be with! She uses platinum sable and faux minx for lashes. According to her, sable lashes are close to real lashes, dark black & thinner and softer.
