Walk across Becca and enter the area. For alcohol lovers (almost everyone but me and my wife) there's a huge bar at the other end. That's where I got water. So I walked up and down, I'm guessing there is about 10 trucks, I decided on Deccani Bites. It's a Tuesday at 1pm-ish, the place was very uncrowded. Furthermore, I hear this area gets much less busy in April and May. I decided to try the Tandoori chicken roti. The young man took my $14.90 and gave me a pager. The food was amazing! It's made with a smoked paprika that really pops. The portion is excellent. The roti itself was perfection, light and flaky, and the chicken tender and delicious! We ordered a bottle of French Pinot Noir, $35 that was quite good. GIB starts by offering patrons some papadum, which some Indian restaurants actually charge for. We decided to start with an order of Samosas, $11. which can be ordered stuffed with minced lamb or stuffed with vegetables. We had one of each. Both yummy. For entrees, we had Murgh Makhani (butter chicken), $25 and Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese), $21 with one Paratha bread, $5. Of course, rice was included with meals. Everything was simply delicious. Happy to have discovered a new quality eatery in the area. Try GIB once and I'll bet you will return.
