My wife and I had dinner here last night for the first time. It was a difficult reservation to get even an off-season since this place is very popular. Overall, we thought it was a five star. We did have a table that was a little squished against the wall, which we didn't love, but the service and the food made it well worth the while. We started with the salad, which was fantastic with the spicy peanut sauce very tasty and I had the shrimp and crab dumplings. Very tasty. Not sure I'd get those again though my wife had the grouper which was fantastic. I would highly recommend that. Overall, we will be back because we loved the food at this restaurant. read more

Such a great Thai restaurant! I'm used to being surrounded by great Thai food in San Francisco, but was happy to see Tong Yin be recognized by Michelin Guide in Naples, a city not really known for Thai food. Ordered quite the spread, and absolutely loved the Pad Thai, Beef Massaman Curry, and Pandan Coconut Tapioca dessert. Everyone here was incredibly friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Tony Yin is a great add to the Naples dining scene. The fare is Asian Fusion with an emphasis on Thai and Loatian cuisine. There are lots of spices and flavors in all of the dishes, but not so much that it overwhelms the star of the dish, be it chicken, seafood or tofu. The menu is probably one of the most unique in Naples. There's also a good sake selection. The atmosphere is small, intimate and colorful. Prices are reasonable, especially for Naples and for the quality and uniqueness of the food. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in Naples. read more

Decided to try Tong Yin after reading about the Michelin recommendation. We walked in with no reservation at 5 pm on a Thursday afternoon. Although they were completely booked, they graciously arranged for a table for two and made us feel welcome. The staff was knowledgeable and kind - service was impeccable. The food? Exquisite! I started with Miang Kham - a jewel of a bite, beautifully presented. My brother raved about the Sesame Noodles. I enjoyed a Scallion Pancake with two delightful dipping sauces. We both chose Massaman Curry - he went with the Angus Beef that was so tender and flavorful. I chose the Shrimp version - superb! We declared Tong Yin to be our "official" restaurant for celebratory dinners from now on. We'll be back to work our way through the menu. We seem to have a lot of options for Thai food in town, but this one is highest on my list of places to go! Tong Yin provides a really quaint setting for some of the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dishes, and although I can't remember (or pronounce) most of the names of the dishes, I recommend this place highly! read more

Looking for some authentic Thai, I came across Tong Yin and it did not disappoint. For appetizers, we ordered the green curry dumplings, the nong khai papaya, and the rib larb. The green curry was delicious, and the rib larb was falling off the bone/so flavorful. For our mains, we did the beef stew massaman curry and the khao soi coconut curry. At this point, we had three different curry dishes, and all were amazing. The beef stew had a heavy peanut flavor, so if that was not your thing, you might want to pass. In addition to the outstanding food, the service and speed of the staff was great. Tong Yin will be in our regular rotation from now on. read more

Wow - This is a 5 stars Thaï restaurant in Naples! I was having a dinner at Ichi Togarashi and they recommended me to try this Thaï new restaurant. We discovered a very tiny restaurant, almost hidden, difficult to find to be honest. The interior looks like a NYC Speakeasy's kind of. The waitress is just amazing and always smiling and kind. A true pleasure to be served by this type of person The menu is an experience menu like an omakase. We paid a very small price but everything was included. One word: Fresh. It's fresh, organic, tasty, traditional. Every dish, from the soup to the entrée is an amazing experience. I kept saying "wow" every time. The wine is generous and ok. I wish there was a small card with some French wine, on the higher end. With the very good and low price of the experience menu, I would be ok to pop a Margaux or something nice. I think they are going to be full really really quickly. This is almost a Michelin or Omakase type experience. There is something that works. Need some work on the presentation, maybe dark plate and less light inside, but the core is here: a perfect tasty food. I loved it and can't wait to come back. 5 big stars! read more

Had the great pleasure of a wonderful meal at Tong Yin last night! Started with a Yuzu Mojito and a nice bottle of wine - both were excellent. Servers not only put up with our random humour, but made many helpful suggestions along the way. After a tasty amuse bouche we did Miang Kham one bite wraps, Dumpling Curry, Rib Larb and Clam Toast. The Dumpling Curry could be one of the best bites ever, sauce was uh-maze-ing!!!! I had the Seafood Creamy TomYum Lemongrass and it did not disappoint. Also tasted the Chili Shrimp and Fried Rice - incredibly beautiful dish, like no fried rice I've ever seen! Also some envy over the slabs of ribs on the Pad Thai. So I called and the weak explanation was that they might not now have a table. They should get their act together. A reservation is a reservation. Don't take one unless you can honor it. read more

Tong Yin has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants of all time. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants in a lot of cities - and this stands out at the absolute BEST!!!! My husband and I have already been 3 times and every single thing we've tried on the menu is incredibly delicious- it's obvious each dish is cooked with care and the best and highest quality ingredients. No doubt we'll eventually try everything. They can modify nearly any dish to accommodate vegan and gluten free preferences too, which is greatly appreciated! The menu goes beyond the traditional Thai menus you find at all other Thai restaurants, making it extra special. The service is extraordinary too, and it's so obvious everyone that works here is passionate about the food too - Kurika has waited on us several times and she along with all of the other servers are genuine and kind. We went to Tong Yin on Saturday early evening @5:30pm. The restaurant is small and cozy with a very welcoming team. We ordered the Scallion Pancake and the Dumpling Curry, they were very good however VERY small for the price and awkward to share as the 'dumpling' came out as one the size of an apricot. We then ordered the Pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious!! The service and food was excellent however if ordering appetizers to share with the table take into consideration the small plate that is going to be presented... I will definitely revisit and they may decide to offer lunch hours in November. I wish them success as they were genuinely so hospitable and the food was very good! read more

A very nice location. It's hard to spot outside with a small sign. But the people inside are very welcoming and attentive. It has a decent menu with a lot of tasty looking choices. SOO many things I would love to have (but the doctor would say no lol). So I went with the Chili Shrimp with Crab Fried Rice. And it was great. Spicy enough with the Chili be enjoyable, but not burning hot. The mix of some raisins, pineapple, and cashews into the rice as a nice counter to the touch of spice. All well prepared, not greasy (some places fry with too much oil but not this), and overall it was very tasty and very filling. read more
