Freshly made authentic Polish pierogi! Many choices in fillings and add-ons. I just had lunch elsewhere but saw they were in my neighborhood (it's a food truck) so I stopped by and grabbed meat pierogi - I had to eat three and save two for later. These are delicious and I highly recommend them!

The cozy interior set the tone, and our servers were cheerful and welcoming. We started with ice cold Polish beer while deciding on our meal. The beer was served in perfectly chilled glass with a thin layer of ice which was a great touch. We shared a Greek salad to start. It was incredibly fresh and flavorful, generously loaded with insane amount of feta (no complaints here). For the main, I got the Kielbasa special which came with 4 pierogies (you can mix and match the fillings), Kielbasa sausage and sauerkraut. The potato&cheese pierogies were my favorite, subtle in flavor, perfectly textured and tasted like true homemade comfort food. The sauerkraut was also hands down some of the best I've ever had. Sadly I have no room to try desserts. This was the best meal of my entire trip, and I'll absolutely be back to try more dishes if I'm in town.

Gaufre's & Goods is tucked away down a back street so if you're not looking for it you most likely will miss it. We came in for a late lunch but were not looking for something super heavy so this was perfect. I started off with a Hevelius Kaper Beer which I really enjoyed. They also had a lot of other Greek and Polish beers that I had never heard of so you gotta try one. For my entree I originally was going to go with the Gyro but then I saw that they have Goulash which I very much enjoy but rarely can find it. Our food came out pretty quickly and I was give a large bowl of Goulash as well as some fresh bread. Ashley of course went with a Mix of Pierogies and added bacon & onions to it. My Goulash was very flavor and dipping the bread in the broth was great. I will say it was thinner then other Goulash's I have had. This was more of a broth base where I enjoy a bit of a thicker stew type. Still something I would recommend getting especially with the limited option we have in the area and this will hit the spot. Ashley also did get a order of Blackberry Pierogies that I never got to try since she ran off with it after we got back to where we were staying. This is for sure a great family restaurant you have to check out.

I was a bit early for my pickup, and while I waited I was even offered a water. It smells so incredible in here that I was already so excited for my meal. I ordered the Polish plate, because it's my first experience trying Polish cuisine. I wanted an opportunity to try many different dishes, and this plate included Golabki, Potato & Cheese Pierogis, Potato Pancakes, and one Polish Sausage. A friend of mine raved about his mother's golabki for years, so naturally I started my meal with that. Wow, it was incredible! It almost reminded me of a spaghetti dish with its vivid tomato flavor. I really love that the roll holds together well when you're eating it with a knife and fork. I'm going to ask my friend for a recipe because it seems like it would be a good go to meal. I think my next favorite item was the polish sausage. I do enjoy eating sausages, but sometimes I'm just not a fan of how some are seasoned. That wasn't a problem with this polish sausage, because it was delicious and flavored just to my liking. Now pierogis I have tried before, and I'm not sure if they are polish origin or a neighboring country, but I have always enjoyed them. These cheese and potato pierogis were exactly as I expected them. They were cooked well and stuffed with filling. I shared a few with my nephew who is a bit picky, and to our surprise he was enjoying them. I would definitely give another flavor option a try! The final item was the potato pancakes and I think they were cooked well, but I think I would have preferred a little more salt to bring out the flavor. I plan to research Polish food after this visit and see how each dish is usually eaten. There were 3 condiments that accompanied my meal, but I didn't use them. For the most part, each dish was delicious all on its own. The Polish plate is definitely enough to share between 2 people, and you'd probably have just enough room for dessert as well. I know the pistachio cheesecake will definitely see me, if I find myself in the Daytona beach area again! Thank you Dill Schnitzel & Pierogi House for an amazing first experience with Polish cuisine!

It was literally steps to the beach so that was nice to stroll out there before/after. After poking around some shops, I made my way upstairs to Dill! The place is cute and colorful! Loved the European decor! I was there on a Tuesday night and there were only 2 other tables sat so pretty dead at the time. Server was lovely, cheerful, and helpful! They don't have a full bar but do serve beer and wine so was able to get a glass of vino. I really wanted schnitzel and pierogies but unfortunately you can only get the pierogies by the dozen (unless you get the big combo meal which comes with 6 rogis and a shit ton of other food). Problem was, I had a 6am flight the next morning so no way I would be able to eat any leftovers. I asked if there was ANY way I could just get like 2 rogis and she unfortunately said no (I totally get it, but maybe add smaller options in the future!). So I went with a cup of borscht soup and the pork schnitzel. The soup was served hot (I've only ever had it cold) and was very good! The schnitzel was legit the biggest schnitzel I've ever seen in my life and it's a GOOD THING I didn't get rogis in addition to it lol. I immediately cut it in half and was only able to eat that much. I got the mushroom sauce too and that was so yummy with the schnitzel! The potatoes and slaw were very good too, loved how refreshing the slaw was!! You would never think to look for this kind of food in Daytona of all places, but it's definitely worth a stop! If I had anyone dining with me, I could see getting a few dishes to split because of how large the schnitzel was. Wonderful place with great service and delicious food, just wish I was able to try those rogis!

It has a large menu with many sandwiches, meats, sausages, among other great stuff to choose from. Our first moments here began by just navigating around the restaurant to see what it was all about. There are large number of wine and beer selections. Though I abstain from alcoholic beverages, I would guess that most are of the European variety - they have beer on the tap setup across from the dessert counter. After the quick self-tour and a conversation with the manager, we lodged in our seats and got ready to order. I actually was hoping the cafe offered speciality coffee like a latte, but that was quickly dashed when the server said they only served regular or decaf coffee. Initially I was disappointed but ordered one anyway. When it arrived and I dressed it up a little with some Splenda and Coffee Mate, I found it to be one the best regular cups of coffee I've had in a long time. We took a while to order because it is a sizable menu. However, I was sold immediately on the Rueben sandwich selections and just need to pick one. I settled on the classic Rueben, which was a mix of corned beef, pastrami, sauerkraut, cheese, a superb Thousand Island-type dressing on pumpernickel bread - it was delicious from start to finish! I will note that you can choose other breads and cheeses with the Ruebens. Some options may come at added cost. I'm glad it was large enough to take some home with me. My dearest chose the turkey Parisian. This was a splendid choice with a nice mix of excellent deli turkey, Brie, raspberry sauce, cucumber, and lettuce on a large croissant. Both sandwiches were more than worth the price of admission! Our server displayed excellent courtesy and care throughout our eating experience. I greatly appreciate the manager taking time to chat with me as well. I really felt good at European Street Cafe! With the fantastic artistry on the walls, the large setting of wooden tables and chairs well-spaced and well-organized on both sides of the interior has the look of a classic cafe that has been around for a good number of years. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a nice outdoor patio area not far from the entrance. I think I found a great place to visit when I crave a Rueben sandwich! This one today felt like a Time Machine moment for me as my mom made them like this when I was a kiddo! Thanks for making this visit special today European Street Cafe! Recommend: VERY HIGH

Yesterday was my first visit, and I ordered the Reuben sliders, the regular Reuben, a turkey slider, and the beer cheese soup. Everything was absolutely delicious! I also tried the key lime cookie, and it was so good that I had to go back today for another one. Because my first experience was so great, I returned the very next day to try something different. This time, I had the sausage and chicken gumbo, along with (yes!) another key lime cookie. The gumbo was flavorful and comforting--definitely a great choice. What truly stood out the most, though, was the service. On my first visit, my waitress--who was also managing--along with another server, were incredibly polite and courteous. Although I can't remember their names, they were both exceptional. Today, I had the best cashier/server who even brought me a sample of the gumbo before I ordered. I also met the kitchen manager, who was friendly and confident about the dish, and the general manager came out to introduce himself and was very welcoming. This place is a 10 out of 10! I will absolutely be coming back on my next visit to Jacksonville. I love this place! Kesha Bentley #MississippiGirl

I've reviewed European Street before but, I wish I could do three reviews for this place. I feel it is the nearly the best at some things, and good at others. The service is always excellent. Whether you're dining in or carrying out, everyone is always pleasant, service is quick, and the crew always seems to provide great reheating advice. The interior is quaint and casual with a beautiful bar, and a really unique store that sells candy and beer from all over the world. Sometimes I go just for that. It's a really cool experience. The outside eating area here is probably the best around. Nicely decorated area, tables and umbrellas and just a great place to eat on a nice day. Dogs are welcome, which is a plus for us. The beer selection and Happy Hour specials are the best around. If you like beer, this is the best place you could go in the Riverside/Avondale area. It's also a very underrated location for dessert. You could stop in to grab something from their cake, pie or cookie selection. The cookies are INCREDIBLE. I've also had the carrot cake (very nice), the peanut butter chocolate pie (solid) and their pecan pie (very good). The menu for food is vast, there are a ton of choices, it centers around sandwiches (there are salads as well) and there's something for everyone. I've always liked the fiery turkey sub and the mufaletta. They're really solid. Very good breakfast sandwiches as well. When you get a side of chips though, it is literally chips out of a bag. I feel like they could probably do something better there, but that's my only constructive criticism. We stopped by last night for a cookie. It's a dessert, it's massive. If you carry out, 15-20 seconds in the microwave and dig in. The flavors range from standards (chocolate chip, peanut butter, white macadamia) to really unique creations (German chocolate, carrot cake). We'll be back, more pics next time, but I wanted to give some love to what is perhaps the best Happy Hour location around. Give them a try.

We sat outside as I had my service dog with me and I had previously been told that she was NOT allowed inside, doesn't matter that as a service dog she should be allowed anywhere I go. The waiter gave me a lot of guff because I put her on my lap when I was finished eating so that she would stop whining for food (which was sub par). The waiter told me to read the rules that stated that dogs are not allowed on laps (there is no such rule). The waiter then proceeded to tell me that he knows others who live in my building who have told him that we have been thrown out of other places (gossipy cashier who pretends to be a friend). Anyway, the food is nothing to write home about. The tables are never wiped down between customers. This particular waiter and his manager are downright rude and irritating. There are so many other places to go, including the European Street Cafe in San Marco where they are much friendlier. My companion told me that her late husband had trouble with this waiter, too. Skip it. There are just too many good places to go to bother with these folks who apparently get up on the wrong side of their beds all too frequently. And they are the only place in town with patio rules!!! Next, they will ban children.
