We were in the area and stopped by to get something to eat. Very chill place, our service was excellent! we got table service, minus the drinks we picked up before sitting down. We ordered some nachos as an appetizer. They were delicious. I got the chorizo torta with fries. My friends got burritos. My torta was massive & decent. Bathrooms were clean. We also got dessert empanadas, we ordered the apple but also got a Nutella one per our server since we couldn't decide on which ones we wanted. Please, do not sleep on this place!! We have driven by several times but finally stopped today for lunch. We have been to I Love Tacos several times and this is just as good. They had a few of the same menu items as I Love Tacos but obviously with the name I Love Chicken, there's a ton of chicken options. I went for the tenders and fries and my husband got a bowl with rotisserie chicken, which was basically a chicken salad. My husband said his was good and my tenders were delicious! I chose to get mine plain but there were a different sauces that you can choose from (mango, habenero, etc). A side of ranch was also included. The decor was very fun with a large mural on the side and the chairs and booths were a very vibrant yellow. My only complaint is the service. It seems like it's a place where you order up front and they bring you your food but when we walked in the waiter gave us 2 menus and said we could sit wherever and he would be over to get our order. The server came over very promptly and our food was hot and fresh in no time, however we did sit around waiting for a bit after we were finished, waiting on the check and a to go box. This Peruvian style chicken restaurant is very near my house and is a style of chicken my family enjoys. We carryout all the time! The chicken and the sauces are great. We all debate which sauce is our favorite. We find the sides... fine. Usually, honestly, we make our own to go alongside the chicken. The flan is wonderful! Service is so friendly. Once, I bought several flan only to find out they were sold out for the day. The waitress/employee at the check out was so apologetic, and she included another dessert that I debated trying. I ended up going without but she included it anyway! In all, love this addition to my neighborhood. Only points off are because I wish there was an actual vegetable based side. I like beans and some in my family like rice. There used to be a green bean but they weren't great and have been not offered lately. I'll see them soon, though, and I'll just make my own veg. read more

Good service and even better food. The menu has plenty of colorful options and the inside of the establishment is clean and well kept with nice seating. I got the Al Pastor on flour tortillas and it was very good. Food came quickly after ordering, and tasted great. read more

The food here is spectacular. It is exactly what you think when you consider rotisserie chicken, the breast might be a little dry, but the rest of the bird is juicy and delicious. I love that they actually get the flavor all through the chicken and not just on the skin. The sides are very good as well, the black and pinto beans aren't too salty or watery. The mac and cheese was a pleasant surprise since it made me think they used dipping queso for the cheese but not too thin. What I enjoyed most was the service. Both times I visited this location I was greeted with a friendly smile. The front of the house on this occasion double checked my order and was able to fix the issue before I found out at home. Stopped by mid-week late lunch, not very busy. Easy parking. Great staff. Nice ambience. Had the chicken empanadas, absolutely delicious. Well seasoned filling, crispy crust, fresh Pico de Gallo, avocado and crema. Amazing! Also, had the quarter dark meat chicken, cilantro rice and beans - winner, winner, chicken dinner! Stopped in for first time today. Nice build out inside and it's super clean. It's a full service restaurant where you sit and they wait on you. We got really nice and cheap (on special) wings, 5 for $1. In 2024! Also got a half chicken (rotisserie) and quarter chicken with sides. Chicken was really very good. I didn't love green beans, but my husband liked his black beans and slaw. The star was the chicken, it had a really great flavor. Service was very good. Pricing was good. I think they serve alcohol but we didn't get any tonight. I'd totally recommend and I hope they make it there. FYI they built out a nice patio with tables when weather warms up. read more

I don't even know where to start. Our family of five visited last night and everything was delicious! We all got the rotisserie chicken and among us, our sides included slaw, green beans, yucca, rice and beans, and elote. Every single side was spot on. The problem from here on out will be choosing which one to order! The green sauce was the best and I'm pretty sure I could have put away a few more cups of it if it had been in front of me. One of our girls is a major fan of horchata, one of their drinks, and she would go there for that drink alone. While it was our first time, it definitely won't be our last. It's now among my favorite Louisville food spots. We always enjoy El Pollo Loco when we are in California and this place comes the closest of any of the rotisserie restaurants around here to matching that, plus it's a much shorter commute! My husband and I stopped here to eat one night and we weren't impressed. The chicken was yellow with whatever they marinated it in I'm guessing. Neither of us thought it tasted like it had any seasoning at all on it. It was that juicy. I drowned my mine in the green sauce. The green beans weren't seasoned either. Salt and pepper helped a little. My husband said the Mac n cheese was pretty good because it tasted like queso. The service was excellent! They were really friendly and went out of their way to help us order. Other than that I doubt we will return. read more

Great new Chicken place. Got a carry out of a whole chicken with three sides. Chicken was wonderful! Black beans, Mac & Cheese and yuca were good too. One thing they need to work on is to make it easier to pre order carry out. Tried to order but it kept popping up for delivery. Explained that to management and they showed me an easy way to order.
