This was our first visit to dine in. The space has a lot of seating and during nicer weather, also a patio. We were seated immediately with menus and waters. Queso and chips were good and plenty to share. The pork belly with pickled onions was tasty and I loved my Al Pastor, minus onions. Everything, even the queso, had a bit of a heat to it. Pricing is high - $5.25 per taco. Two is plenty and I was happy they put plenty of meat in the taco for that price. The price would be my only deterrent coming here often or with my kids.
Place gets better every time and prices stay consistent. Love the shrimp & Masita de puerco tacos (corn tortillas). Service friendly and quick.
Had the burrito it was amazing !! We had a big group of kids and they gave us love and provided us with even better food!!
We came here for Taco Week and I was pleasantly surprised. I started with a margarita as well as chips & queso while waiting on the rest of our group. Our waitress was great at us needing a bigger table and did an amazing job taking care of our party of 8. For tacos - I ordered the al pastor and the tinga. Both were packed with flavor. I really enjoyed the Al Pastor. I also ended up with a margarita to go. The only downside I could see is that the parking lot could be a bit difficult to maneuver when busy. Otherwise, a great dinner and I look forward to going back.

Very tasty. Many taco options and the burrito my friend ordered was gigantic! Service was great-- seated right away and served fast.
The first time I came I gave a 5 star review but unfortunately now I have to give them a 1 star review based solely on the service. We got there around noon and it was 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. There were 2 servers just standing there so I asked if someone could take care of us. After getting our drinks, we had to wait another 15 minutes to order our food and our server seemed annoyed. 5 minutes later, our food came out which tells me it wasn't fresh at all. After we paid, we sat and spoke for a bit longer and someone who I guess was the manager came to us and said if we needed anything else and I said we were good. He said that other people were needing the table....note that there was absolutely no one waiting for a table either inside or outside. We've never had anyone say something like that to us before. I used to work at a 5-star restaurant and people would sit for hours at a table and you could never tell them something like that. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending this place.

This restaurant and I started off in full agreement because I, too, love tacos. Thankfully, we found no reason to disagree! I was tempted by the burritos and tortas (I haven't had a torta in so long...), but wanted to go with the titular item and try a variety. The tacos here are on 6" corn or flour tortillas and priced around $3.50-$5 each. There's a nice variety and each had a nice flavor mix and was full of fresh ingredients. I was expecting more of a countertop, paper wrapper kind of place, but I Love Tacos is sit down, full service. Speaking of which, service was excellent! I'll be back to try out one of those tortas.
Once you get here (the parking lot is tight!) it's hard to not love I Love Tacos! They've got very colorful and bright Hispanic decor, TVs in strategic spots that allow game watching on the side, and a huge menu of tasty treats! We had the Chips and guac to start, which come w hearty chips (not light and flaky if that's your thing) and a nice bowl of guac. We're kinda guac snobs, so if we had to change it we'd add a little more lime as it was a little on the bland side. 4/5. The tacos we had were soooo tasty, some of the best we've had in the area (and we frequent taco shacks) for amount of taco and flavoring w plentiful meats, marinades and sauces. We had the cochinita pibil, shrimp (not pictured by us) and tinga tacos. I'd rank them in that order as they were each tasty, and totally different flavors. All were very hearty tacos, and one really would have filled me up, but I wanted to sample....who's gonna invent the mini taco taster?? They also have tofu tacos and cauliflower tacos!! (Didn't try those...I'm a carnivore) Can't wait to come back, this place definitely needs a few visits (and maybe another location??). just to taste some of the many menu options there. After your first visit, you'll already be thinking of what you'll try next time!! Muey bueno!!
I Love Tacos is one of our go-to spots for delicious food! My usual is the Burrito Love, and of course, I have to have a swirl margarita to wash it down with.... and I can't forget about their chips and queso The burrito is big enough to split in half or just eat half of it and take it home for another meal.
I hate giving out one stars especially to places trying to stay above water during this covid pandemic. But I was extremely disappointed in this establishment. We came here on a Friday afternoon around 6pm. Parking lot was kinda full. They have very little space in there parking lot. I'd recommend backing into a spot. We literally had to get out and adjust 10 times before leaving because the two rows of parking are so close to each other it makes it very hard to back out there especially as the lot fills up. Outside they had seating and a live band. So that was cool to see as it been a long time since seeing that due to the covid pandemic. Inside had plenty of seating so we got a seat right away. They hand you paper menus and tell you to seat yourself. So we sat down and that began maybe the worst service I've had at any place in my life. The waitress approaches and takes our drink order. the wife and I got a water. My oldest daughter said I'll take a Pepsi or a coke. The waitress said said we only have Mexican sodas and brings her out a bottles coca-a-cola. A few moments later I get up to use the restroom and in the middle of the establishment is fountain sodas with Pepsi products. I asked a nearby worker if it shut down due to covid? He said "no it's open and self serve on refills". I asked him why the waitress would give my daughter a non refillable bottle with fountain sodas available? The guy gave me a cup and told me to go ahead and get a fountain soda. He ensured there wouldn't be a double charge. Although on my bill they did only charge for the bottle. The bottle costs more than fountain sodas. So damage was done. Further more she asked if we wanted mild or hot sauce with our chips and salsa. So like most Mexican establishments I assumed chips and salsa was complimentary. But nope when I checked my bill there was a charge. The chips and salsa arrive literally less than a minute before our entrees. So we didn't get to sample it much. To me the chips were cold and stale. The salsa had solid spice and kick to it with good flavor. Chips not so much. For our entrees the wife and I got the chicken burrito. I got mine with queso and hers without queso. My oldest daughter got the I love burrito taco bowl thing. Basically a taco salad. The food did come super quick. I was not a fan of my burrito. The queso was very creamy and rich tasting. It was ok. The pico in the burrito was loaded with onions that was Overbearing. My daughter taco salad was loaded with them too. It took away a lot of the good taste and flavor of the rest of the entree. Also on our burritos was very sweet sauce on top of the burrito. I did not like it. My wife wasn't a fan either. I personally would never order the burrito again. The rice and chicken In It was good. The rest not for me. The wife and daughter overall was satisfied with there plates. After getting our food super quick. It took over 25 minutes to get our bill. When our waitress came she had a mobile device like a tablet to take payment. She told me price and was ready to take my payment. I asked her if I could see it so I can see the bill. And that's where I recognized I was being swindled for the chips and salsa which we didn't really get to eat and where I verified I only got charged for one cola. I really was hoping to enjoy this place. But everything was a huge let down from the parking lot, to the service, and to the food. I'm usually pretty open Minded but I left this place so disappointed and with great regret. My biggest regret is I still tipped the waitress 18 percent. As bad as she was it hard for me to shaft someone on a tip. So I guess her garbage technique of charging me on two extra things worked tonight. Hopefully it was just a bad experience for me and it was a fluke experience. They won't make it far with service like this.

We love this place! The servers are always very warm and welcoming, we're always seated quickly, and service is always prompt and reliable. There's not one item on this menu I don't like. The ceviche is fresh and delicious, I've had every single taco and they're fantastic, and the tortas are wonderful too. They decorate for different holidays and have discounts and promotions all the time!! Check it out. read more

Got a steak taco from here and the meat was spoiled, took one bite and it left me throwing up all night. I need at least 85 charachters to post but I have nothing left to say. Taco felt like it killed me. If you're having a bad day, make it worse and get this murder taco read more

Okayyyyy I LOVE TACOS!! The place is awesome it feels like fun times in here the patio is even better thay play update hip music of all kind. The staff is cool and laid back i love that. I got a margarita while i wait passion fruit and peach mixed OMG! I haven't drunk half and im feeliNg it so with that beiNg said they are strong today. The waiter said they make them from scratch in the morning you definitely get ur money worth with that margarita . I got barria tacos which isn't printed on the menu thy just started doing it its good just need to add a little more salt in dipping sauce to bring the flavor out more and Possibly add queso to tacos but they were extremely good and i got my boyfriend chicke Chorizo tacos and thy look really good. Im definitely coming back. read more
Talk about a Mexican restaurant that'll charm the pants right off of ya! Mexican food is my favorite, but I tend to always find myself distinguishing the Mexican restaurants that feel like carbon copies of others, versus ones that are unique. I Love Tacos has for sure made a name of its own. First of all, everyone here is so dang friendly. No one has to go to work and stay upbeat and make others feel welcome, but these people sure do. This place is also really nice on the inside and is painted to be very colorful. Of course, tacos are their specialty. But they have all kinds of other options on their menu. I tried their taco bowl, which was basically like a giant salad with beans, and really enjoyed it! My fiancé could not stop talking about his quesadillas after finishing them. JTown has an awesome new place for tacos! read more

I came across this place while I was in J town yesterday afternoon checking it out seeing what it was all about. I'm a big fan of tacos and this place had pretty good reviews. So I stop by I got a ground beef taco lettuce cheese little sauce on the side. Got a grilled chicken taco lettuce cheese or sauce on the side. I went in to get my to go order the guy did not greet me I just gave my name gave my stuff sent me on my way but I didn't have any kind of conversation like OK cool. I left and I ate both my tacos out on the bed of my truck. No real flavor at all on the meat. Both are three dollars and some change and honestly how much would you prefer like Taco Bell or something else. I was not a fan of the food read more
I'm impressed that they decided to open in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic, but I don't see that slowing this eatery down! Our first visit was during the soft opening, well ahead of the grand opening. The full menu was available (for takeout, of course) and if this is any indicator, this might be the restaurant that lasts longer in this location than any in the last 5 years. Fast forward to the doors being open and we've been able to visit a couple times. I have not been disappointed by I Love Tacos AT ALL. In fact, every visit gets better and has fast become my favorite local taco eatery. Even though they're working under limited capacity, this place is always hopping. Quite a few of the tables that have been moved to make room or social distancing have been moved outside to accommodate as many customers as possible. On Friday evenings the outside dining area is busy busy, and they have music playing as well. Full service/menu is available to all diners. The big change indoors is the removal of the bar, and I'm pretty OK with that. None of the 3 previous eateries that occupied this space utilized it very well, anyway. During our visits the staff -- all of them -- were constantly hustling to keep the food and margaritas moving. The food has always been on point and served hot and well presented. While the menu isn't huge, its focus is on tacos and, let's be real, who doesn't love tacos? In talking to our server, I Love Tacos is doing VERY well. So well, in fact, they're already in talks to open a second location. read more
I stopped here on a Monday evening. I had been really looking forward to trying this place. We opted to sit on the patio despite the foreboding clouds. The restaurant is deceptively large inside which plenty of tables and room for larger groups, but the patio is roomy and about all I can handle in the age of Covid. My friend and I ordered a couple drinks. His margarita was good, but my sangria was amazing--highly recommended. We started with some queso, which was tasty, but nothing special. I ordered a chicken tinga taco and a cauliflower taco and they were both very good. It really wasn't the best experience or the best food, but there is something really comforting and appealing about this spot. I'm looking forward to going back. read more
This place is authentic Mexican. We started with chops and caso. My wife choose the chicken love burrito. While went with the love steak loaded with a side of elites Del barrio corn cover (not my favorite). We also went with an order of Cheros (sweet). This is a Military friendly location!!! We've eaten here a couple of times now and it just seems they keep getting better. All the tacos I've tried are delicious and the burritos are next level! The service is always friendly and there when you need them. Nice ambiance completes the total experience. We always go to the one located in Jeffersontown. Highly recommend. read more

Our first time at I Love Tacos and we could say it was a good one. We arrived around 1:30pm and we saw curbside service when we pulled-up. There's plenty of patio area if you wish eat outside. Once we walked in we were greeted right away and were told to take a seat wherever we wanted to. (The person at the front desk was busy taking orders from walk-ins or pick up orderd, not sure) Few tables were available - to have 6ft apart from one another- Staff were wearing masks. Our server (Isabel) was friendly and took our order right away. We ordered the shrimp ceviche (a very good size for being an appetizer). Since we wanted it a bit more spicy, we asked for jalapeños and these were brought right way-thanks Isabel for being attentive to our needs. We ordered 2 margaritas.(16 oz) a lime frozen and and jimador on the rocks. Both were good. We ordered a shrimp taco, a brisket taco and a chicken salad. My favorite had to be the brisket, as it had a good flavor and since we love spicy, we asked for a spicier sauce and we got it! This made this taco super delicious. My second favorite was the ceviche followed by the shrimp taco and chicken salad took last place. ALL good though! But I would highly recommend the brisket taco and the shrimp ceviche! read more

Soooooo I'm from California and was in town for a few days. I past this place and IMMEDIATELY made a u-turn. The first time I ordered Shrimp ceviche and Tacos. The ceviche was really good! The Birria tacos were just okay. The shells could have definitely been crispier. The second day I returned and ordered the taco salad (chicken). It was really good. All fresh ingredients. On the third day I tried the nachos and a single fish taco. The fish tacos were some of the best I've had across the country. If you're EVER in Louisville visit here!! read more

Great tacos and excellent service from Ivan! I had the Birria tacos (basically good roast beef) served in a corn shell dipped in broth before it's heated on the flat top grill with cilantro, Onion and melted cheese. You also get a cup of the broth to dip your tacos in. I also had one Masita de puerco taco. Slow roasted, pulled pork in a corn shell with cilantro and onions. Daaaaang, this was a good taco!! I squeezed the lime wedge on it and so many flavors came me through! Delicious. Put together well. Pleasant atmosphere and my server was on the ball. Very happy tummy here y'all. Inexpensive and worth every penny. read more
This is my second trip in as many weeks and this place is becoming our favorite spots! Right up the street from the house. Servers are always attentive and extremely friendly! We come early so social distance isn't an issue at all and the food is outstanding! I can't get away from the fish tacos but we've tried other tacos as well. Churros are the best with a sweet surprise in the middle. Prices are great as well. We'll definitely be back soon. read more
Nice spot to Taco. The menus is diverse with authentic Mexican street style offerings Iv had in Mexico and more so I really enjoyed the Tinga it was tender tasty and very juicy. The Birria taco was spicy and savory and quite delicious. I look forward to working my way three the rest of the menu of burritos and Tortas. read more
My partner got the fish tacos and I went with the torta. We also got a mango and original margaritas. This is one of my favorite taco places in Louisville but always seem to get the tortas cause they're so tasty! The three different sauces they offer make it nice so you can kick up the heat if you want. read more

We have drove past here serveral times and love Mexican food, so we decided to stop by and give the place a try. My husband got the Birria Tacos and the corn on the cob. I got the Burrito Love. He also got a margarita. We loved everything we tried. The food was very flavorful and the burrito was huge. You could seriously share if you wanted to. We sat outside because it was a nice day. They had plenty of open tables and live music. The staff was very friendly, and we never had to wait long for anything. read more

They are not goat. Beef I believe. And still delicious!
