When we eat pho, there is a perfect trifecta= pho with tendon, fried pork spring rolls, traditional banhmi. An establishment simply offering all 3 in itself is not easy to come by. When each item is done well, even harder. This place had great flank but the tendon may be the worst we've ever had. However the broth is one of the best we've ever had. Got takeout from this restaurant and was disappointed by both the quality of quantity of food in our order. We ordered a large pho with spring rolls on the side. The whole order was $25 altogether. We were given very little food (it was equivalence to a small pho elsewhere). In addition to the quantity, the quality of the food was also sub-par. Been here a bunch of times for both dine in and take out and it always satisfies. The pho is delicious and full of flavor. The service is excellent; always quick and the team is always quite friendly and welcoming. I can't speak much of the non Pho items because the Pho is so good that's pretty much all we get. The only complaint I have is that they close so early, but otherwise, an easy 5 stars! read more

This is our FAVORITE pho place! My husband and I have been pho eaters for a while now and we have tried ALL of the places in and around Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, New Haven, Fairfield and this is the best we have had. The portions are very generous, they make to order even if you are super picky (like me!), the price is right AND everyone that works there is super nice! We wish they were open on Sunday's though. I ordered Bun Bo Hue, a spicy rice noodle soup. I was disappointed that the broth was bland, no beef or pork flavor or fat in the soup, chilli oil was added, but no dried chilli peppers in it. Very solid Vietnamese restaurant. I love pho and I like this restaurant. We were craving for a hearty bowl of pho and decided to give it a try based on good reviews. Now I'm so glad that we discovered a local gem. There are many options for toppings for the beef pho from the classic rare steak, to brisket, flank, meatballs, and even tripes and tendon. The noodle soup comes with two size options, large and X-large and the size large is indeed pretty large already. I had a large bowl of pho dac bien (all toppings) while my husband had an XL pho tai (rare steak). We have been to Houston TX where there is a big Vietnamese community serving outstanding pho dishes and have visited quite a few pho restaurants in NY. My pho standard is pretty high. Oh man, once I tasted the first sip of the broth, I was in heaven - the beautiful clear broth has such a complex flavor profile, beefy, aromatic, umami, perfectly balanced in spices without one being over powering the others and perfect seasoning to balance the sweetness and savory to compliment the toppings and the rice noodles. What an satisfying meal! I'm sure we'd visit frequently as Fall and Winter comes. Overall, I Luv Pho is pretty solid with nice and clean interior and friendly services. Now, to be outstanding, I wish this restaurant would have homemade chili sauce rather than the store bought siracha, you know the kind of the fresh chili sauce that has pepper seeds in it and has a natural fresh taste to it. read more

We have been there twice, the first time, they did not have most of the menu. We understood that they were a new place and needed to iron out the kinks. Yesterday, my daughter and I went back. I ordered pork banh mi and was told by our waitess, the pork was not ready yet. I settled on chicken banh mi and my daughter ordered pho ga. We also ordered egg rolls. Our waitress brought out our drinks and egg rolls. I asked for a straw and that was the last time our waitess came to our table. My daughter's pho was brought out by a runner. I told him she did not get the sprouts and basil that should have be brought out with it. He said nothing and just walked away. At this point, I still did not get my straw. Our waitress never once checked on our table and my banh mi did not come out until 20 minutes after my daughter's pho. I went to the hostess and told her I no longer wanted the sandwich since my daughter had already finished eating. She apologized and took it off the bill. Now I understand that pho is generally brought out more quickly than other dishes and also, this is a new place and new places often have problems while everyone is learning the ropes. What I do not understand is waitstaff that completely ignore their customers, even after they complain. That is just poor service. The staff needs to be trained in customer service and waiting tables. We won't be going back any time soon. read more

We came here in the afternoon on a Sunday. There were 4 tables and 3 people waiting tables. As we walked in the staff just looked at us and didn't say anything. About a minute later we were sat down and waited about 5 minutes without anyone bringing us menus. We got up and grabbed menus ourselves and the waitress just looked at us. She came over a few minutes later to take our drink order, didn't ask if we were ready to order our food, and just walked away. She brought back 1 water for our party of four. We asked another waiter for more waters and he said the waitress will bring more. The pho was a total rip off. I ordered a large and an extra large, they are both the same size with very little meat. The broth is salty and does not taste like authentic pho. I come from a place that has lots of pho restaurants, so I know what it should taste like. I later asked to order an additional bowl of pho with only "chinh nam" (brisket), the waiter just looks at me and asked, "what's that?". Really?!? You work at a pho restaurant and not know what that is? One of the runners brought out my food and I asked for a pair of scissors to cut up food for my kids. He nodded and walked off. The waitress asked me what I need because the guy didn't understand me. I told her scissors. She laughed at the guy and said something to him in Vietnamese. That was very unprofessional, don't treat your coworkers that way. The whole time we were there, the wait staff didn't come by our table to check on us. I will never return to this establishment and will make sure all my friends and family don't come here either. The owner should really re-train their staff as they are the face of the business. Go elsewhere for your pho because this place is overpriced for the portions and quality if their food. read more

I've been looking forward to the opening for a while now and was very satisfied with my lunch experience today. Restaurant was very clean and spacious but could use some more atmosphere which may change as they settle into the space. The food was very fresh and flavorful. I started off with the Vietnamese Egg Rolls for an appetizer and I loved it. Another point of improvement would be for the staff to inform the customer on how to enjoy it best. I ate one egg roll plain and the second by wrapping a mint leaf around it. This elevated the flavor immensely! I wish I had known that before but I could've also asked what all the greenery was on my plate. I followed that up with the Bun Cha Gio Tom That Nuong which was absolutely delicious and the the second reason why I would return, right after egg rolls. I asked my waiter for advice on the pho but his description of it turned me towards the noodles instead. This is another point where the staff can and hopefully will improve over time. Staff, present your dishes proudly and enthusiastically and educate your customers so they can enjoy the food the way it's meant to be enjoyed. The service was good when I was there but they weren't busy either. Not sure why the empty plates were left on the table until after I paid. Perhaps it's considered rude to clean the tables but I appreciate it when there is more room on my table. It seemed that the staff was new to waiting. The explanations of the menu seemed to be new to my waiter and he stumbled through it but it was with all the best intentions that he served me. Overall I would say that the service wasn't perfect but it was genuine and will get better, I'm sure. There aren't too many Pho places around here and between all of the fast food joints on that street, I am very happy that they are there. I give it a 4/5 until my next visit where I hope to update my rating to a 5. I look forward to my next visit and this time I will try the pho. P.S.: To that review that gave it a 1 star for closing early; relax. Judging a restaurant by their closing hours is not a review. It simply means that you didn't bother calling ahead. Otherwise you would have known their hours. Your failed attempt at dinner can seriously hurt a business. Not a helpful review at all. read more

Just love this place! Good food, reasonable prices, casual atmosphere, clean, easily accessible and very nice and accommodating staff. So far we have had the Dac Biet Sandwich and the seafood, chicken and beef Pho on several occasions. First time trying the sandwich which was a nice surprise! Tasty with fresh ingredients and admittedly on better bread than I usually get at a deli. The Pho is always good and comforting!
